CHAPTER 369: TENTS AND SLEEPING BAG
"Well, take care and be careful out here." The coachman said, tipping his hat towards Greinzer and others.
"You, too!" Yura exclaimed and returned the well-intentioned wishes with a wave. "Those monsters are dead and will stay dead, but you should still be careful!"
"That sounds like a threat." Zuyo commented, helping Lukas set up the tent with Julian.
"It’s not—" The woman gasped, turning to Zuyo and others.
However, she stopped in the middle of her sentence because the sight of Zuyo, Julian, and Lukas tangled against the strings of the tents, their limbs sticking out in the most awkward position.
"What in the world are you three doing?!" Yura screeched, rushing towards the three men.
Myra and Coco watched their teammates follow Yura’s orders on how to fix the tent, to set it up, and where to put it— all the while scrambling to get it done before Yura could lash out again.
Greinzer walked over to the two leaders and dropped the crate in his arms, alarming them.
"These will be our dinner and lunch." The hunter grunted out, briefly shooting a glance on their way before turning around and walking away.
Myra and Coco watched as he walked over to his spot under the tree, settling himself down by the roots and bringing his gun out of the holster, his other hand pulling out a cloth from his pocket before proceeding to clean his gun.
"Just so you know.." Coco started and looked away from the hunter, turning to Myra. "I don’t know how to cook."
Myra’s eyebrows shot up to her hairline at the information, not expecting such a good hunter like Coco to not know how to cook.
"Just how do you survive then?" The woman blinked, confused.
"I get fed by my family, by En, and by my husbands." Coco answered, shrugging her shoulders with a dismissive tone. "I didn’t have to lift a hand to cook for myself because I’m blessed."
".. That’s true." Myra mumbled, shaking her head. "Don’t worry. I can cook for us instead."
Coco brightened up and crouched down to pick up the crate, barely showing any sign of struggle and stood back up again, a grin settling on her face.
"I’m looking forward to it." Coco voiced her excitement. "I’m sure it would taste good."
Myra rolled her eyes at Coco, not caring if she was being exaggerating with her action, and walked over to the camp site— which was not too far from the spawn stone.
"I know that it wouldn’t spawn something at the moment, but I’m still worried that it might." Julian started as soon as Myra and Coco got close to his spot, a few feet away from the scrambling Lukas and Zuyo. "It’s dim right now, but it keeps flickering."
Coco looked at the spawn stone in the distance, eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"It looks fine to me." Coco said, looking away from the stone to look back at Julian. "If anything happens, I’ll be sure to take it down before it could deal some damage."
The male seemed to relax after hearing her reassurance, his shoulders sagging forward.
"Okay." Julian mumbled before he walked away from them, approaching Lukas and Zuyo to offer a hand just in case they needed any.
Myra and Coco exchanged a glance, both coming into silent agreement to have one of them stand guard by the stone.
"I’ll take the first shift." Coco volunteered almost immediately, smiling. "But let me just bring this to wherever you need it to be, okay? Then I’ll go and guard the place."
"You sure?" Myra raised an eyebrow, but she led Coco by the camp fire.
"I’m one-hundred percent sure." Coco hummed, crouching down and placing the crate down on the ground. "If you need anything, just scream bloody murder and I’ll come running."
She stood up and turned in her heels, walking away.
Myra merely shook her head and let out a soft chuckle, already growing fond of the black haired woman.
Coco walked over to the tent area and glanced at the four aspiring hunters tidying the place, the three men still running around while Yura helps here and there.
She looked away and continued walking over to the spawn stone, her eyes flickering around to look for anything to sit on and when she saw a small boulder by one of the trees, she went ahead and grabbed it.
The others stopped what they were doing when they heard rustling by the treeline, but they soon relaxed when they saw that it was just Coco picking up a boulder.
"She’s really strong." Yura said, letting out a sigh.
"Tell me about it." Zuyo agreed, crossing his arms over his chest, his muscles flexing. "Who picks up a stone that big without breaking a sweat anyway?"
"Me." Lukas proudly stated, puffing his chest out. "And of course, our strong and almighty leader! Coco."
"Is she guarding the stone because I told her that I was worried?" Julian asked to no one in particular, an unreadable look appearing in his eyes.
"Why would you be worried?" Yura returned the question, turning her attention to him.
Julian shrugged. "I just do."
"Well, that explains why she’s sitting over there." Lukas said, gesturing to Coco who had just sat down on the boulder she dropped. "All alone, too."
"She probably did it out of her own free will." Yura commented and went back to picking up the sleeping bag off the ground. "Which gives me more reason to give her a tent that she wouldn’t share with anyone!"
"I second that." Zuyo agreed and went back to walking over to the tent, walking inside of his own tent.
"Same here." Lukas said, turning in his heels and walked over to the tent he claimed to be his. "But it sucks that I have to share it with you, Yura."
"Shut up! I don’t want to share a tent with you, either!" The woman screamed, her voice muffled from inside the tent.
