CHAPTER 454: ON THE WAY TO BUY TV

Heiren could feel his legs growing weak.

It was past three in the afternoon and Coco had been relentless with her search for the magical television she was talking about earlier.

They had been going around the city square looking for a shop that sells televisions, but so far, the two of them have not found one just yet— which is causing Coco to frown more as the minutes passed by.

"Just how rare is this magic TV?" Coco whined, stomping her feet as she kept walking ahead of Heiren. "At this point, I’ll just ask Sin to buy me one."

"No need!" Heiren immediately chimed and grabbed Coco’s wrist, his breath coming out in short bursts.

"We don’t need to ask for his help." The mediator said with a huff, his breathing quick as he panted lightly. "We can walk around some more. Maybe the shop is located farther in the city square? We can try."

However, Coco didn’t pay attention to his words and merely got close, her eyebrows furrowing.

"Are you okay, Heiren?" Coco inquired, shaking his hand off her wrist to grab his face with both hands to make him look at her straight in the eyes. "You’re panting— are you okay? Do you want to take a break?"

Heiren’s pulse quickened and his breath got stolen at how intense Coco looked at him.

However, how can he tell her that the reason why he’s panting right now was because she was walking so fast? She would surely feel bad so he doesn’t want that to happen because she only wanted to buy something for him and others.

"No, no, no, no." Heiren quickly shook his head and felt his face flushing at how close Coco was. "I’m fine.. We can continue."

"But you don’t look fine." Coco stated, her lips pursing.

"I’m really fine— Coco!" Heiren tried to assure Coco, but he got cut off and screamed when Coco pulled away from him before suddenly sweeping him off his feet.

His face was already hot earlier, but now that he’s in her arms, his face felt warmer like he was about to explode.

The fact that everyone around them is looking at them with either curious gazes and envious looks didn’t help his case because he felt embarrassed.

"There." Coco hummed out with a smile. "Is your position comfortable? Do I have to shift you on one arm instead?"

"One arm?" Heiren questioned, almost sounding like he was squeaking due to how high pitch his voice was. "I’m too heavy! You don’t have to carry me!"

Coco raised an eyebrow. "Heavy? I’m offended. Do I look like I’m that weak?"

Heiren shook his head and kept his mouth shut, not wanting to make Coco upset with his poor choice of words— but can anyone blame him? The person he likes is carrying him! He’s supposed to be the one carrying her, isn’t he?!

"Then it’s fine, isn’t it? Don’t worry, you’re not heavy at all." Coco assured him, her right hand squeezing the outer part of his left thigh.

Heiren could only nod his head as a response, not trusting his voice to work at the moment due to how embarrassed he felt by getting carried by his wife because he’s sure that he was supposed to be the one carrying her.

"Anyway, you were saying that we can try getting out of the city square, right? To look for a shop that sells magical televisions?" Coco asked, her feet already propelling her towards the direction where the library was located because that’s the only way to get deeper inside the city.

Again, Heiren nodded his head to answer.

He could feel the gazes of the people that they passed by, making him feel both triumphant and flustered.

He’s triumphant because he knows that some of them are mediators that wanted to be in his position— Coco is a fine woman after all, with her sharp yet adorable looks along with her incredible display of strength.

There’s no one else that is like Coco and he knows this because he had not met a woman or a man who could carry their significant others without struggling.

However, Coco? Coco doesn’t look like she was struggling with carrying him, at all.

Unfortunately, with Coco doing this thing in front of many others.. She was basically telling them that she can provide for them and take care of them whether she’s a disowned daughter of a noble or not— not like they know that she was used to be a daughter of a noble.

Feeling a little annoyed at the thought of people that might try to be part of Coco’s harem, Heiren wrapped his arms around her neck.

"Are you scared that I might drop you?" Coco asked, blinking in surprise as Heiren tightened his arms around her and buried his face in her hair, but Heiren simply shook his head which made her raise an eyebrow.

"Huh.." Coco mumbled, but didn’t question his action further and focused on the path ahead of her.

It took Coco almost half an hour to reach the library and she was quite lucky to see Alhai walking out of the building with a paper bag in hand.

"Alhai!" Coco called, shifting Heiren into her left hand and making him sit on her arm before she used her now free hand to wave at the fourth husband who turned to their direction with furrowed eyebrows.

Heiren could only grip Coco’s shoulder as he tightened his grip around her neck, afraid that he’ll fall this time.

"Hi, Alhai!" Coco greeted the mediator the moment she got close enough. "Since you work around here, do you know where me and Heiren can go to buy a magical television? I want one."

Instead of answering, Alhai stared at Heiren, silently asking him why he’s in Coco’s arms.

Heiren simply averted his gaze and turned his head, his eyes dropping to the floor with his cheek flopping on Coco’s shoulder, burying his face.
