CHAPTER 455: TELEVISION STORE

"This is the store?" Coco asked Alhai, blinking in surprise.

"Yes." The third husband stated bluntly and snaked his arm around her waist, his gaze dropping to the second husband who was still on her arms. "It would be best if you drop him now, we can’t go inside with him sitting there like a damsel in distress."

Heiren’s face flushed with embarrassment before simply shooting a glare on Alhai’s way.

"I like carrying him though." Coco said, tightening her hold on Heiren and squeezing him before letting him stand on his feet. "But okay, I guess you’re right.."

Heiren rolled his eyes and when Coco went ahead of them to go inside the store, he smacked Alhai on the stomach using the back of his hand which was accompanied with another menacing glare.

"Keep your attitude down." Heiren whispered harshly. "It was supposed to be my time with her today! You had your turn when you climbed into her bed last night and claimed that it was your turn!"

Alhai raised an eyebrow and smirked. "It’s not my fault that I’m more competent than you when it comes to directions and locations."

Heiren felt that statement go through his heart, causing him to grab his chest and gasp.

"How dare you!" The second husband hissed and pressed an accusing finger on Alhai’s chest, his eyebrows furrowing. "Just because I don’t come out of the house that often doesn’t mean I can’t be competent!"

Alhai’s smirk got broad and he opened his mouth to retort, but Coco’s voice cut him off.

"Alhai, Heiren! Come and see this!" Coco squealed, sounding way too delightful and excited for someone who’s buying a magical box that has people inside to entertain other people.

Heiren stepped away from Alhai and turned his head. "You’ll get your karma for being this crude."

Heiren didn’t wait for a rebuttal and immediately rushed inside the store, his footsteps quick and light, tapping quietly on the ground.

Alhai shook his head and entered the store that didn’t look like a store.

"I want a black television, but this one that has this vines design looks cool." Coco said, pointing at the television that is color brown with a few intricate carvings of vines on it which made it look extra appealing compared to the others that looked quite plain.

Alhai hummed and approached them, his eyes glued to the bright smile on Coco’s face. "Let’s buy it now before it gets bought by other people."

Coco’s gaze snapped up and Alhai felt his breath escaping his lungs by how bright Coco’s eyes looked for him.

Those shining emerald irises of hers will surely kill him sooner than later, he can’t prove it yet, but he’s sure that it will happen.

"But wouldn’t it be better to choose something you and the others would like?" Coco hummed out, making him confused.

"What does that mean?" Alhai raised an eyebrow.

"She wanted to buy a telebox for us." Heiren stated as he brushed his fingers on the magical television’s vines design.

"What he said." Coco said and turned back to the television. "So what’s it gonna be? Should we buy this one or should we look for another one that will catch both of your eyes?"

Just like Heiren, Alhai felt his heart fluttering in his chest.

However, unlike the second husband, Alhai walked closer to Coco and grabbed her face without saying anything.

"What—" Coco said, startled.

Alhai crushed his lips against hers and kept her in place for a good second before he pulled away, just in time for Heiren’s hands to grab Coco away from the third husband, his chocolatey orbs wide in surprise and annoyance.

"Don’t kiss her!" Heiren hissed, his foot stomping hard on Alhai’s foot.

"You—" Alhai groaned, crouching down to touch his foot.

Coco stood frozen between Heiren’s arms and felt her cheeks getting warm as the realization of Alhai kissing her dawned upon her.

Now, she would be mad at Alhai if she didn’t like it, but she liked it— no, she loved the kiss.

"You.. You shouldn’t kiss me out of nowhere." Coco squeaked out, her eyes shifting away from Alhai. "Ask me first if you can.. It’s not like I’ll refuse, but I don’t like the feeling of being kissed without my consent."

Alhai snapped his head up, his lips parting.

"I’m so sorry." He apologized immediately, his heart dropping to his stomach at the thought of possibly making Coco uncomfortable with what he did. "I’m really sorry, Coco.. I won’t kiss you without asking again.."

"It’s.. It’s fine." Coco mumbled, her gaze drawn to the floor, finding it oddly interesting.

"It’s not fine." Alhai grunted out and stood up. "What do you want me to do? I made you upset with what I did so I deserve and want to be punished."

Coco whipped her head in his direction, even Heiren did out of shock.

"Punish you?" Coco stammered out, her lips parting in disbelief. "Do I seem like that kind of person to you? To hurt someone if they did something I don’t like to me?"

Alhai flinched before shaking his head.

"That’s not what I meant— I mean, only if you want to! You don’t have to do it if you don’t want to.." Alhai mumbled, feeling himself shrinking under Coco’s upset gaze.

"I don’t want to." Coco said and crossed her arms. "I only told you to ask me for permission next time."

"Ye.. Yeah.. I’m sorry." Alhai lowered his gaze, frowning.

Coco stared at Alhai, the giddiness she felt when he kissed her is now replaced with a hollow feeling.

Is that how the husbands see her?

Coco’s heart squeezed painfully in her chest, causing her frown to deepen.

"Uh.. Are you three done?"

Before things could escalate further, a voice cut through the air of the shop which caused the three of them to turn their attention to the owner of the voice.

"May I know what you want to buy?"
