CHAPTER 466: SHE OFFERED

"Rey kissed me."

Those three words that left Coco’s lips made the four mediators’ time stop as they stared blankly at their wife, the information taking little progress to be comprehend.

Coco? Their wife? As in, Coco?

She was kissed by a younger mediator who met her before his puberty hits him?

Alhai scoffed. "Good thing I kissed you first."

Everyone turned to him, eyes wide in both disbelief and surprise, like they couldn’t believe he would dare to think of competing with someone like Rey.

"What? At least I kissed her and she kissed me. What is there not to like about it?" Alhai asked, the tone he used was condescending and matter-of-fact as he raised an eyebrow towards his friends.

Heiren and Zaque both rolled their eyes at him, not liking the arrogance in his tone.

However, Quizen stomped his way over to him and grabbed Coco’s chair, pulled her seat back and spun it around to make her face him.

"What else did he do?" The fourth husband asked, glaring menacingly at Coco.

"Nothing..!" Coco squeaked out, trembling lightly in her seat as she dropped her gaze to the floor, not liking nor feeling comfortable from the intense attention from the husbands.

Quizen shook his head. "For all I know, that kid had a feeling for you ever since he laid his eyes on you."

"That’s impossible! Aren’t I too old for him?" Coco refused the idea, feeling disgusted that a woman like her would be liked by a child she met a couple of months ago.

"You’re the perfect candidate for a blooming mediator like him, Coco." Zaque explained. "Mediators tend to be attracted to the person that will and can provide for them— you’re both and you’re strong. What’s there to not like?"

"I’m older than him!" Coco hissed, glaring. "That would make me a groomer or whatever!"

Heiren paused and tilted his head. "Groomer?"

However, Coco didn’t answer him and merely sighed. "Look, Rey kissed me and I was shocked about it.. I didn’t like it nor did I want it. In fact, I felt uncomfortable with what he did."

As the words came pouring out of her mouth, the husbands felt relieved and content.

It was obvious to them that Coco didn’t see Rey more than a little kid due to how she treated the young mediator during their stay in the house, but it was also clear to them that Rey didn’t care because he still made a move on her.

"He’s a brat." Alhai grunted out, crossing his arms and glaring in nothing particular.

"Tell me about it." Quizen agreed wholeheartedly.

"Anyway! Back to the topic!" Coco exclaimed and pushed Quizen off her because he was too close for her liking.

"Rey said that he will be back once he gets someone important to him to safety!" Coco informed them, slamming her hand on the dining table which made the husbands flinch.

"Does that mean he’ll come back here?" Alhai questioned, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes." Coco answered truthfully and nodded her head. "From what he said, he will and he will make sure to take Kairo back with him."

Zaque stared at Coco with his eyebrows furrowed deeply, wondering silently how dense and happy-go-lucky his wife could be.. It was clear to him that she doesn’t like Rey in a romantic way, but he still felt threatened.

It doesn’t help that Rey is younger than four of us.. Zaque thought, nibbling anxiously on his lower lip.

The first husband let out a sigh and dropped his head on the table, groaning loudly to create a scene and get Coco’s attention to make her stop talking about Rey.

"I’m sorry, Zaque.." Coco murmured, doing as he silently wished. "I swear I don’t like Rey that way, okay?"

"I’m not worried about him." Zaque uttered a white lie and kept his face down on the table, not caring if he was being childish in Coco’s eyes.

Alhai and Heiren simultaneously laughed at that because it was as clear as day that he was lying.

Of course, Coco didn’t notice.

"Then what’s wrong? Did I make you that upset when I didn’t wake any of you up to accompany me?" Coco asked, genuinely wanting to make Zaque happy.

She likes all of them and she sure as hell wouldn’t want them to be upset with her just because of some kid.

"What do you want me to do to make you happy? Name it and I’ll try to give it to you." Coco said, standing up from her chair and being careful to not tip over the chocolate drink before her.

"Nothing." Zaque grunted out and waved his hand dismissively.

"Since he wants nothing from you." Alhai spoke up and flashed Coco a smirk. "Do what I want from you instead so I can be happy and let this matter go."

Normally, Coco wouldn’t like the smug look on anyone’s face, but Alhai is an exception.

He’s usually stoic and uptight, but he has been showing different sides of him to her lately, and that made her feel completely special.

She couldn’t help, but wonder if the rest of the husband likes her how Alhai likes her.

It wouldn’t hurt to be delusional, right? She thought, staring blankly at Alhai before she nodded her head and feigned a begrudging expression.

I can’t be too obvious. She added to her previous thought and walked over to Alhai.

"What do you want me to do?" Coco asked the mediator, staring at him straight in the eyes with a frown to make sure that she won’t be obvious with her excitement.

"Alhai, be nice." Heiren tutted out and huffed. "Just because we’re upset doesn’t mean we get to ask anything we want."

"Why not?" Alhai hummed and shifted his gaze away from Coco to look at the second husband, a knowing look in his teal colored eyes. "She offered."

"Doesn’t mean we should—"

"Even if I just want a kiss?"
