New World with Four Husbands
Chapter 467: Pet?!
CHAPTER 467: PET?!
"They must have liked you that much, Coco." The garden fairy grumbled out, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.
"No, Lala!" Coco hissed and placed her hands on her hips. "The quest about finding new love is done! I didn’t even know that three of them were already finished— how can this be?!"
"What’s the content of the quest exactly?" Lala sat up from the bed, sighing with her head lolling forward.
"Something about helping them find a new love—" Coco answered, but she was cut off when Lala asked something that made her stop.
It’s early in the morning and the sun was barely up when Coco started pacing around the room with heavy footsteps, making her stir from her previous and well-deserved slumber.
Lala wanted to ignore her friend because what else could she be possibly thinking about after what happened last night in the kitchen?
Alhai and Quizen almost broke out into a fight because Alhai wanted to kiss her, but the fourth husband couldn’t do it because he still has not confessed to their beloved wife just yet.
If he tries to tell the third husband that he wants a kiss from Coco, too, Coco will question him for sure.
The discussion ended right then and there, with Zaque scolding the two before he sent Coco out of the kitchen so she could take a good night’s rest.
However, instead of sleeping immediately, Coco stayed up staring at her ceiling.
Lala remembered telling Coco to go to sleep because it’s getting late, but the black haired woman was stubborn and said to just let her be so the garden fairy shrugged her worry off and went to sleep.
Unfortunately, it seems like Coco didn’t get enough sleep due to the dark bags under her eyes.
"What time did you go to sleep?" The fairy asked, her eyebrows furrowing in worry as she stared at her friend, making Coco stop pacing around the room.
Coco blinked and raised a hand to massage the bridge of her nose. "Sorry.. I decided to check how many days I have before I have to finish their quests, but I saw that I’ve already completed three of them.. So I ended up staying past midnight."
"Past midnight?" Lala echoed, her eyes wide in surprise and disbelief.
"I’ll be fine." Coco assured her and brushed her concern off with a dismissive wave of her hand. "Anyway, can I do anything to see how I complete my quests? The quest I’ve received recently has been vague lately."
Lala let out a huff as she let Coco brush off her worry, but it was soon replaced with confusion.
"Vague?" She inquired, confirming if she heard correctly.
"Yeah.. The quests I received used metaphors or something like that.. Is there any way for me to check how I completed them? Where and when?" Coco affirmed, shooting follow up questions about the quests.
Lala frowned, staring at Coco. "You said that there’s another fairy who has been arranging your mission other than Lulu, right?"
"Yeah.. Yeah? What of that fairy?" Coco questioned, blinking owlishly.
"See, fairies don’t use metaphors for quests because it’s always best to be straight to the point.. However, there are a couple of fairies who use metaphors because they can." Lala stood up on Coco’s bed, her little feet padding their way to the edge of the bed.
"Who?" Coco raised an eyebrow, intrigued.
It’s not like she’s against other fairies sending her missions.. Actually, the fairy other than Lulu has been generous with the rewards so she didn’t have any complaints, but it’s never that bad to be curious, right?
"Well, there’s Jiji, Nana, Tata, and.." Lala started counting the fairies in her mind, but trailed off.
"And?" Coco urged her to continue.
".. And brother Kiki." The garden fairy mumbled, her frown deepening as she crossed her arms. "But I’m sure he won’t do that to you because he’s mad at me, right? He won’t help you or me because I brought the two of us into this mess."
Coco’s lips curled up into a small smile upon seeing Lala worry about who could be the fairy behind the quests that wasn’t sent by Lulu.
Then, she shrugged. "Beats me. I don’t know what your brother is like."
"I know." Lala sighed and plopped down on the bed again before she started whining. "It’s too early to do a lot of thinking, Coco.. My head hurts!"
"Sorry." Coco halfheartedly apologized and went around the bed to sit down on the mattress.
The bed squeaked under her weight and caused the fairy as well as the feline to bounce— the two magical creatures let out a sound of displeasure and hisses on their own way, making Coco chuckle.
"Sorry, guys." She plopped back on her back, letting her hand drop on Konoha’s stomach gently. "Alright, let’s sleep more, okay?"
"Oh, thank you so much." Lala grumbled and started crawling above Coco.
"Oh, come on.. It’s not that bad, Lala." Coco rolled her eyes and grabbed her pillow, putting it under head so she could be comfortable on her spot.
"It’s that bad." The fairy whined and tapped Coco’s chest.
[Ding!]
The two of them stopped talking when a scroll suddenly appeared above Coco, unrolling itself without hesitation and showing Coco the contents.

"Pet?!" Coco shrieked and sprung up from her position, her eyes going wide in shock as she grabbed the scroll.
"How am I supposed to make a monster my pet, huh?!" Coco screeched, not caring if it’s still early in the morning to be too loud.
"By making them surrender, duh!"
