CHAPTER 524: CONFRONTING HEIREN

As soon as Coco, Lala, and Richard were out of sight, that was the moment Alhai sprung out of his seat and closed the kitchen door.

Heiren backed away, his heart hammering lightly inside his chest.

He’s not scared of being cornered by his three friends who obviously are into the person whose soul possessed their deadbeat wife’s body and treated them with so much care, showed them kindness, showered them with love— albeit unknowingly— and taught them that they be more than ’useless’ mediators.

Oh, no, he’s not scared of them, but he does feel ashamed to be found out that he had come prematurely with his clothes still on.

Coco Hughes hasn’t touched me before because I was disgusted with her, but Coco? My lovely Coco? I would let her touch me anytime and anywhere. Heiren thought to himself, biting his lower lip.

Coco was incredibly cautious of touching them before, but lately, she has been open with wanting to hug them.

She even went as far as kissing Alhai and asking to stay with one of them.

I have come a long way so I won’t let these jealous mediators try to ruin my chance of getting her into my room tonight. Heiren proclaimed in his mind, puffing his chest out.

Quizen raised an eyebrow when he noticed a subtle change in Heiren’s expression.

"What’s with that look?" The blue haired mediator asked with a tilt of his head. "Are you thinking of something on how to get out of this?"

"That won’t happen, if that is the case." Zaque chimed in and walked around the table, stalking his way towards the brown haired mediator who now stood with his posture as straight as a pole.

"I’m not thinking of anything except for Coco." Heiren stated with his head held up. "But I do think what could possibly be the reason with this cornering thing again.. We did this to whom last time? Alhai?"

"That doesn’t matter." Alhai quickly shot down the attempt on changing the topic and shot Heiren a pointed stare. "What happened?"

Heiren visibly froze at that, not expecting Alhai to ask so vaguely.

"What happened?" Heiren repeated and tilted his head, mustering his non-existent acting skill to act like he’s thinking. "Well.. First of all, me and Kairo are hired, but we won’t be starting right away because—"

"That’s not what Alhai meant, Heiren." Zaque cut him off with a sigh.

Heiren could only hold the chuckle that wanted to escape his lips because if he did laugh, he knew that it would be the end of him.

"Okay.." Heiren said after clearing his throat. "What’s all this about anyway?"

Play it cool, Heiren. The mediator thought to himself, hyping himself up as he flashed them a smile that somehow looked natural.

Quizen narrowed his eyes and frowned. "Don’t smile at us like that. You know what this is all about, Heiren. What happened back in the guild? And why is Coco suddenly.. Close to you like that?"

"Why do you want to know?" Heiren hummed, and once again, tried to dodge the question. "Are you jealous?"

"What?" Zaque blinked, the word slipping out of his lips without realizing it.

"Of course not." Quizen said and shook his head.

"Yes, I’m feeling jealous." Alhai answered bluntly, his eyes glued on Heiren’s face like if he stared hard enough, he may get the answer he wanted to hear from the mediator.

Heiren couldn’t help, but chuckle at the different responses he got and finally turned to Alhai.

"Since you’re the only one who was honest, let me whisper the secret to you." The mediator said, raising an eyebrow and wriggling towards Alhai. "Who knows? You might get the same treat I got this morning."

"Same treat?" Zaque asked and raised an eyebrow.

Yeah, her kisses, the sight of her on top and below me, all the sounds she let out.. All of that was a treat. Heiren mused in his mind, answering the first husband’s question, but not admitting it out loud.

Once again, Heiren cleared his throat. "Alhai, come here. I’m going to whisper it instead."

The third husband blinked and slowly made his way towards the second husband, which left Zaque and Quizen dumbfounded because why are they being left out like this?

"Don’t you think this is unfair for the two of us?" Quizen asked and couldn’t help, but flash a glare on Heiren.

"Don’t you think it’s unfair to always lie about your feelings towards our wife all the time?" Heiren retorted back with a cheeky smile, tilting his head as Alhai stopped in front of him. "I believe that Coco deserves the truth now."

Quizen and Zaque flinched at that, their lips curling down into a frown.

"What gives you this courage to say these things?" Zaque questioned, displeased with Heiren’s boldness when in fact, Heiren was, somehow, the most reserved out of the four of them.

"Courage?" Heiren repeated, basically just stalling time until Coco and Richard came back.

Deep in his mind, he’s praying so hard for the two to come back with the purple eyed mediator because he doesn’t want to reveal things just yet.

"Enough." Alhai interjected through the conversation and scowled. "Just tell me this secret of yours so I can do the same to make Coco touch me like that, too."

The corner of Heiren’s lips twitched lightly, the envy in Alhai’s voice gushing out like a waterfall.

"Okay, lean down on me, tall guy." Heiren ushered the silver haired mediator and beamed at him with a bright smile. "You want to hear it, right? Lend me your ear."

Zaque and Quizen quickly tensed, their bodies moving on their own.

As Alhai leaned down lightly to lend Heiren his ear, eager to know the secret, Quizen and Zaque rushed to their side, resulting in accidentally pushing Alhai, making the mediator fall sideways.

"You two—" Heiren hissed, but it was cut off when he, too, fell down, but backwards.

"Agh!"
