Nhiria's Chronicles: Realm of Regrets
Chapter 7 - The Path of Evolution.
“Really? That’s awesome!” Sokram exclaimed, his excitement brimming as he looked at Hannah with expectant puppy eyes.
Hannah chuckled softly, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear.
“But first, we need to start your cultivation training. Starting tomorrow, I’ll teach you mana control and breathing techniques.” Hannah's gaze shifted briefly to include the others.
Moira, who had been listening, nodded. “I can help by teaching him how to cultivate and control his vital energy.”
Brunhild leaned back in her chair, her brow furrowed thoughtfully. “Good, but since he can cultivate all three energies without complications, we’ll also need an Aura user to teach him how to cultivate his spirit essence. It must be someone we can trust.”
Margiory, unfazed by the challenge, raised her hand to summon one of her people.
She looked at Hannah and alerted her so she wouldn't misunderstand and attack her guard, “Don’t worry. He’s blood-bound to me by a Blood Magic Contract and a Blood Oath. No secrets will leave his lips.”
Almost immediately, a tall, muscular man stepped from her shadows as if magically summoned by her gesture.
His onyx-scaled light armor gleamed faintly, his sandy hair and dark olive skin complementing his piercing green eyes.
He knelt beside Margiory with an air of unyielding loyalty, “Mistress, what is your order?” His voice was deep and steady, though Margiory paid him no mind initially.
Hannah’s gaze lingered on the man for a moment before she spoke with a casual air. “I noticed him as soon as you arrived. It wasn’t difficult to deduce he’s your servant. I also sensed the others hiding, three as Sokram said, correct?” She tilted her head, studying Margiory. “But what surprises me is how a Tier 9 Witch at the Uncommon level, like you, has a Tier 10 Aura user at the Exalted Level as her servant. Norwinter truly is an interesting country.”
Hannah’s observation was well justified.
In Dracony, the law of the strong ruled supreme. The very idea of someone as powerful as this man serving a weaker master was unthinkable.
But Norwinter’s pragmatism had constantly broadened her horizons.
Margiory smirked, her tone tinged with pride. “Capitalism works wonders, especially for a merchant family with a noble title like mine.”
She leaned forward, her eyes glinting. “And now, thanks to it, my grandson will have the best Aura user in Norwinter as his teacher.”
Her tone shifted slightly, taking on a commanding edge. “And since everyone under my command is blood-bound, there’s no risk of them leaking information about Sokram. Isn’t that right, Alain?”
“Yes, Mistress!” Alain replied without hesitation, still kneeling and averting his gaze respectfully.
Hannah gave a playful smile, though the room chilled as a faint killing intent emanated from her. “Good that they’re blood-bound. That spares me the trouble of having to kill them before you.”
“Nana, no!” Sokram’s voice cut through the tension, his expression darkening as he stood from Hannah’s lap and turned to face her. “Family doesn’t kill family. Don’t ever say that again.”
The sharpness in his tone startled everyone. Sokram marched over to Margiory’s lap and sat there defiantly, glaring at Hannah with an intensity that belied his small stature.
Hannah, far from being offended, gave him a warm, proud smile. She recognized the subtle signs of his draconic nature asserting itself, not just through his actions but in his very presence. He was already assuming the role of protector within his growing lair.

“Alright, darling. Nana won’t do it again. Forgive me?”
Sokram nodded solemnly, his expression softening. “Good, I’ll forgive you this time, but don’t do it again.” His serious tone, coupled with his childish voice, made the moment both commanding and endearing.
In a dragon’s lair, every woman was under the male dragon's protection. And his house now, despite being the smallest state in the noble district, was his lair.
Margiory, on the other hand, couldn’t contain her smile.
Sokram’s actions filled her with pride and love, as her heart filled with a warm and cozy feeling. She felt reassured that he saw her as an integral part of his life despite her absence during his early years.
The tense atmosphere dissipated after that, and the evening proceeded pleasantly.
Before leaving, Margiory instructed Alain to stay behind and protect Sokram, ensuring he would have the best guidance for his Aura training.
That night, as Sokram lay in bed surrounded by books, he couldn’t help but rejoice at the sheer contrast between his previous and actual timelines.
In his previous timeline, his bloodline’s gifts had only awakened when he was past his fifties, and his cultivation journey had begun at the age of twelve, like most children.
He had trained in a basic academy in the city, and Hannah hadn’t been present in his life at this point in time.
Margiory and Hannah had only stepped out of the shadows a long time after he came of age.
Now, however, everything had changed.
Their decision to openly nurture and protect him stemmed not just from his monstrous talent but also from his deliberate manipulation to ensure this timeline unfolded perfectly.
Each of his moves was premeditated to keep his family safe and to create enough cause and effect to mislead Nhiria, whom he was certain was watching from her throne at the galaxy’s center.
The next morning, Hilda awoke to find Sokram sitting at the breakfast table, his eyes fixed expectantly on Hannah.
The sight made her chuckle. “You know he won’t stop staring until you start teaching him, right?”
Hannah grinned. “Well then, we’d better start now.”
“Yes!” Sokram cheered, barely able to contain his excitement.
In the backyard, Hannah began his lesson. “In the path of evolution, the first thing you need, darling, is a solid foundation. And knowledge is the cornerstone of cultivation and evolution.”
Sokram nodded eagerly, prompting her to continue. “Do you know about the four blessings?”
“Yes, Nana!” Sokram answered confidently, recounting what he had read.
“The four blessings of evolution were gifts bestowed upon creation by the Multidimensional Plane of Existence and Eva, the personification of Evolution itself,” Sokram began, his voice steady and confident as he recalled the knowledge...
The first blessing is the Seeds of Power. These seeds represent the six fundamental sources of life and power: Magi, Aura, Vitha, Chaos, Aether, and Nether.
The second blessing is the Primordial Bloodlines. Within every galaxy of the Multidimensional Plane of Existence, there are twenty-one Primordial Races. Each of these races received a unique set of gifts, natural advantages designed to empower them while maintaining equilibrium in the grand power dynamics in each universe.
The third blessing is the Primordial Infinium Records. This entity, often referred to as ‘the Records’ or ‘the System,’ activates for every intelligent being who becomes a Tier 1 Common Existence or for any unintelligent being that reaches the Tier 1 Reformed Existence while in the Awakened Level.
Finally, the fourth blessing is the Path of Evolution, which are the Tiers of Power and Levels of Existence within the Multidimensional Plane of Existence.
Within the galactic scale, there are three greater Levels of Existence: Awakened, Ascendant, and Transcendental, and each of these levels has ten subdivisions.
The Awakened level division is: Common, Uncommon, True, Reformed, Flawless, Exalted, Semi-Perfect, Perfect, Superior, and finally, Pre-Ascendant.
“…each of these subdivisions was divided into ten Tiers of power or Tiers of Cultivation.”
Hannah’s expression softened as she watched Sokram deliver the explanation without faltering. She looked at him and inquired once more, "And do you know about the galactic division? It's also part of the fourth blessing, is it not?"
Sokram nodded and pressed on, his voice steady. "Within the Multidimensional Plane of Existence…”
Every galaxy divides itself into three zones: the Awakened Zone, the Ascendant Zone, and the Transcendental Zone.
These zones represent the strength and potential of their inhabitants.
The Awakened Zone lies at the galaxy’s outer edges, where the weakest civilizations dwell.
The Ascendant Zone lies in the intermediate regions and houses those who have surpassed their initial stages of evolution.
Finally, the Transcendental Zone is at the galaxy’s center, the realm of the most powerful beings, who continually strive toward the pinnacle of our galaxy: The fabled Star Palace.
The closer one lives to the galaxy’s center, the higher their level of existence must be.
Only those who consistently evolve and grow in strength can survive in the Transcendental Zone.
Until reaching the pinnacle of strength in the galaxy, every living being remained confined to the outer reaches. This system ensures that evolution follows a natural order without the strong oppressing the weak.
“…as for us, our planet is located within the Awakened Zone,” Sokram concluded.
Hannah looked at him with a knowing smile as she muttered under her breath, "Hyperthymesia, hm?" But she was also proud of his immense potential.
