CHAPTER 247: CHAPTER 245 RETRIBUTION AWAITS [5 UPDATES]

Hannah was so furious at Liam Spencer’s overbearing nature that she gnashed her teeth. Every time he was like this, she felt utterly helpless, and her dislike for him only intensified.

She hated this unreasonable person who wouldn’t grant her freedom. The oppressive feeling Liam Spencer gave was too overwhelming, making it feel as if there was no hope.

So, she angrily said, "People shouldn’t be so shameless; sooner or later, there will be retribution."

"Alright! Bring it on!" Liam replied indifferently.

At that moment, he felt he was already facing retribution. For the first time since he could remember, he felt compelled to explain himself to someone, fearing they might misunderstand him.

To Liam, this experience was indeed retribution because it meant he cared about her and her thoughts.

However, watching someone with such a shameless attitude, Hannah felt the anger in her chest almost exploding, wishing she could marry Kinsley Spencer immediately, breaking all of Liam’s hopes connected to her, forcing him to either stop viewing her as Grace or to live in Grace’s shadow forever, denying him comfort.

Like Liam, Hannah didn’t take kindly to force, preferring to go against others’ wishes; the more forbidden she was from doing something, the more she wanted to do it.

If Liam ignored her now, her desire to rebel wouldn’t be as strong.

Seeing her too angry to speak, Liam felt somewhat balanced, thinking if she insisted on marrying Kinsley, then so be it! He was curious to see how long she could keep it up.

So he let her go, after taking a deep breath, lifted his right hand to straighten his collar, and coolly said, "Hannah, if you want to play, I’ll accompany you to the end."

Saying this, he turned and headed to the door, as Hannah watched his arrogant back with anger that could almost make her cough up blood.

Their relationship was like a seesaw; whenever one side was calm, the other was inevitably uneasy.

So Hannah was displeased with Liam’s confident attitude; she wanted to see him angry, upset, in pain.

Suddenly, she laughed coldly and said sarcastically, "Master Liam, did you really think Aunt Hannah caused the Owen Clan Group’s stock downturn three years ago?"

From the living room center, as Liam heard her voice, he paused, eyebrows knit, then turned slowly, fixing his gaze on her as if waiting for an answer.

Watching his furrowed brows, Hannah’s lips curled slightly, and she beckoned him closer with her finger.

Liam saw her gesture, sighed deeply, and quickly approached her, hands in his pockets, standing tall before her.

He was well aware of what she was about to say, yet he stayed to see what tricks she had up her sleeve.

Looking at the man before her, Hannah suddenly reached out with her right hand, grabbed his collar, and pulled him down, leaning to his ear, saying, "Might as well let Master Liam know, the photos were taken by me, sent to Aunt Hannah by me, and exposed in the media by me - killing three birds with one stone and watching the scene was really thrilling."

She would never forget how delightful it felt when she learned that Aunt Hannah was ousted from the Spencer family and the stocks of the Spencer Clan and Owen Clan plummeted.

Liam, hearing her confession, smiled indifferently, then reached out to hold her by the waist and swiftly pushed her onto the sofa behind her, trapping her in his embrace.

Then, pressing his lips against hers, he smiled charmingly and said, "Oh! So it was you! Seems we have another account to settle between us."

"A bet is a bet!" Hannah, watching his arrogance, was not as angry as before since confessing her past misdeeds made her feel an immediate relief.

However, she didn’t know that when the matter was first exposed, Liam already knew it was her doing, but he didn’t expose her.

When the incident happened back then, Hannah was newly pregnant, and those days he wasn’t there for her, so Liam felt guilty towards Hannah.

Hence, he turned a blind eye to the falling stocks and projects being snatched away, taking no action—he did this just to let Hannah feel a bit pleased, to let her be a bit happier.

Yet, his heart ached because Hannah never willingly stayed by his side, always wanting revenge on him.

Three years passed, but their relationship only intensified.

Looking at the somewhat satisfied expression beneath him, Liam was filled with an indescribable emotion, wondering why he fell for such a rebellious person, and what he must do for her to trust him?

He wished to get along well, but this path seemed to grow further away, while forcefully binding her seemed to keep her by his side more easily.

Hence, he pressed his body lower, his large hand unceremoniously unbuttoning her shirt.

Feeling his teasing, Hannah took a deep breath, holding it tightly, without any struggle, her eyes darting around.

Liam, seeing her silent, freed his right hand, pinched her chin, and asked, "What’s wrong? Guilty, so you don’t dare to resist?"

"Resist? What’s the use? You can only force yourself on me." Hannah replied dismissively.

The man, seeing her resigned demeanor, smiled evilly, kissing her lips, saying, "That’s right. Resistance is futile; it’s the same for everything."

Liam wasn’t wrong, indeed, whether in love or work, whatever he wanted, he would get it.

Hannah, hearing his words, opened her big eyes, staring at him without movement,

"Is anyone in there?" Suddenly, a knock on the door sounded outside.

Hannah’s breath hitched immediately, but someone beside her shamelessly continued teasing her.

Just then, the door was suddenly pushed open and a woman leisurely strolled in.

In an instant, Hannah exploded, raising her small hand to shove Liam.

But Liam ignored her, instead wrapping his right arm around her neck, locking her in his embrace. Hannah was certain that this bastard did it on purpose, intentionally scaring her.

The woman entering paused, seeing the awkward scene on the sofa, her face flushed as she hurriedly stepped back, apologizing repeatedly, "I’m sorry, I saw the door unlocked and thought no one was here."

She quickly backed out then, and hung a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door as she left.

Liam wasn’t bothered at all, releasing Hannah from his hold, and continued to deeply kiss her.
