"Who just said that?" Liam asked, patting her.

"Little demon," Liam said with a teasing tone, as he picked her up, twirled around, and teased her.

"Stop!" Once Maya thought of the name Charlotte Owen, her mood disappeared, and she was too lazy to bother with Liam.

"Where’s your eighteen bedroom techniques?" Liam saw her reject him, leaned down, lightly bit her ear, and pursued.

"Not playing around with you anymore. Your aunt surely has some big tricks prepared for me today, I need to pull some tricks to prepare for the battle." Maya finished speaking, pushed Liam away, slid down from his desk, and escaped to the sofa.

Seeing her wanting to escape, Liam immediately extended his long arm, encircled her waist, pulled her back, with his chin resting on her shoulder, biting her ear saying, "Since you’re the one who started this fire, you should extinguish it yourself, even when sitting."

The implication in Liam’s words was crystal clear to Maya; he simply wanted to get intimate in the office, on that office chair.

However, the more Liam wanted it, the more she refused, deliberately making him uncomfortable. Since Charlotte Owen was setting a trap dinner for her, making her upset, only Liam, her nephew, could cheer her up.

So, she turned her head, lifted Liam’s chin, and mischievously said, "Keep it in if there’s a fire."

Seeing her playing tricks, Liam continued teasing with the hand around her waist. Anyway, she wouldn’t last three minutes before surrendering.

"Knock knock knock!" Just then, the office door knocked again.

Liam was extremely annoyed, wishing to hit someone, while Maya chuckled secretly.

"Knock knock knock!" The knocking resumed, and Liam looked helpless.

Maya took the opportunity to push him away, quickly sat back on the sofa, and calmly said, "Come in."

"Boss, the meeting has started, and everyone is waiting for you." The person entering was Elijah Reed.

At this moment, Maya sat on the sofa calmly reading a book, but watching Liam slowly walking to the desk, she knew she had ruined his moment.

When his large hand paused on the door handle, he suddenly turned around to look at Maya,

"Hmph!" Listening to someone’s threat, Maya stuck her tongue out at him, made a funny face.

Liam looked at Maya’s cute appearance, removed his hand from the door handle, swiftly walked to the sofa, lifted Maya from the sofa, and kissed her lips unceremoniously.

After a round of passionate kissing, he reluctantly let Maya go and went to attend the meeting.

In the office, Maya waited until 5 PM when it was time to leave work, but Liam hadn’t returned, so she lay down on the sofa and fell asleep.

At 5:30 PM, Liam finished the meeting and hurried back to the office.

Returning to the office, he saw someone passed out on the sofa, asleep, with the book dropped on the floor.

Seeing this, Liam promptly grabbed the clothes Maya had thrown aside, covered her with it, wrapping her up, and then used his forehead to touch her little face, checking the temperature, ensuring she wasn’t cold or feverish.
