CHAPTER 487: CHAPTER 483: SERVING ONE HUSBAND TOGETHER? (2)
"Brother Asher, just let me stay here with you..." Irene Morton’s voice was soft, making Luke Land’s legs go weak.
"Impossible." Asher Land responded decisively.
"It doesn’t matter anyway, I’m used to clinging to you, you can’t get rid of me." Irene Morton continued nonchalantly, disregarding Asher Land’s attitude.
"Hey, Sophie, why don’t you come stay at my place? It’s spacious and bright there..." Luke Land wasn’t sure if his brain had been fried, suggesting such a lousy idea.
"Luke Land, shut up!" Asher Land roared.
Sophie Smith inhaled deeply, exhaled, and tried to calm herself. She knew now wasn’t the time for jealousy or to quarrel with Asher Land.
She put down the magazine in her hands, turned around, and started walking towards the second floor.
Without a second thought, Asher Land shook off Irene Morton’s hand and followed her upstairs.
"Are you mad?" He embraced her waist like he wanted to please her, asking softly in her ear.
"Not exactly mad. I just really hate this powerless feeling." There wasn’t a hint of anger on her face, in fact, there was even a slight smile at the corner of her mouth.
Asher Land was somewhat confused.
"You’re not angry with me?" He asked again for confirmation.
"No." Sophie Smith nodded.
Alright, she was naturally not a jealous or competitive woman.
"Sophie, you have to believe me, in this lifetime, besides you, I won’t do anything I shouldn’t with any other woman, you know?" Since she wasn’t going to ask for any explanation or promise from him, he thought he might as well say it himself.
His kisses were filled with indescribable tenderness, landing on her face and neck, then he undressed her.
"Asher Land, don’t..."
This wasn’t like before at the Land Family’s place; doing this sort of thing really made one anxious.
Sure enough, her worry wasn’t unfounded.
The door was pushed open, followed by a sharp scream.
Swiftly, Asher Land grabbed the silk blanket and wrapped it around her body.
"I didn’t see anything!" Luke Land turned his back to them, covering his eyes with one hand and raising the other, as if taking an oath.
"Luke Land, how many times have I told you to knock first before coming in? Are you deaf?"
"Could you guys please lock the door next time you’re in heat? I really don’t have the habit of knocking." Luke Land’s face was full of grievance. "Can I turn around now?"
Without waiting for their response, Luke Land turned around on his own. Sophie Smith clutched the blanket tightly and didn’t look up at him while Luke Land’s gaze lingered stubbornly on her.
"Still looking?" Asher Land raised an eyebrow. Though it was a simple question, it carried a threatening tone. Just as he was about to get up, Luke Land quickly stepped back several paces.
"I came up here because I have something to tell you. Hurry up and get dressed; the old man wants to see you."
After delivering the message, Luke Land stomped down the stairs, as if afraid that if he lingered a moment longer, Asher Land would gouge his eyes out.
He buttoned the few buttons on his shirt that he had already undone, looked at the person lying on the bed, and sighed.
"Wait for me."
With that, he left the room with his head held high.
Sophie Smith lifted the blanket, picked up the clothes Asher Land had tossed to the floor, and quickly put them on.
