CHAPTER 492: CHAPTER 488: HE IS HER ANTIDOTE (PART 2)

Irene hesitated. Luke’s words served as a wake-up call for her. However, she naturally wouldn’t follow his advice to drug Asher and sleep with him. If afterwards, Asher pursued the matter, he definitely wouldn’t spare her. She didn’t need to take that risk.

But if Sophie were to sleep with another man...

"Can you get me those drugs?" Irene lifted her head and looked seriously at Luke.

Luke thought Irene was going to follow his plan, and couldn’t help but pat his chest in assurance.

"Of course I can."

"Alright then." Irene stood up, brushed the grass off her clothes, and gave him a grateful smile.

"I’ll leave this matter to you. You need to help me get it done quickly."

Luke also smirked. Seeing Irene’s eager expression, he couldn’t help but joke with her.

"I’m telling you, my younger brother is quite strong. You’d better not drug him too much, or you might wear yourself out..."

Irene’s face turned bright red at once. She no longer looked at Luke and ran away swiftly.

...

For Luke, getting some aphrodisiacs was a piece of cake.

In the evening, he sneaked to the East Garden when Asher wasn’t around and handed the stuff to Irene.

"Once it’s done, don’t drag my name into it." Luke felt uneasy, knowing that if Asher found out he schemed for him to sleep with another woman, he would certainly be skinned alive.

"Oh, got it..." Irene responded, but she had other plans in mind.

During dinner, Sophie stayed in her room and didn’t come out. The maids were about to bring the meal up, but she stopped them.

"Give me the food, I’ll deliver it."

The maids didn’t dare question and respectfully handed the food to Irene.

Irene brought the food to her own room, poured the drug Luke gave her into the soup, stirred it, and then walked out of the room as if nothing had happened.

"Better if you deliver it. I knocked on her door just now, but she didn’t open it for me."

Irene took the food back downstairs and handed it back to the maid.

The maid responded and quickly headed back upstairs.

Irene took out her phone and dialed Luke’s number.

Before the drug fully took effect on Sophie and aroused suspicion, she needed to quickly get Luke, the accomplice, over.

Irene casually found an excuse and coaxed Luke to the East Garden.

"Brother, thanks for the reminder. Tonight, I’ll do as you said." Irene handed a glass of red wine to Luke, smiling innocently.

Luke chuckled awkwardly, "No worries, no worries."

He picked up the wine glass and drank it all.

"Oh, I’ll head upstairs for a bit, wait for me." Irene put down the wine glass and walked upstairs.

Through the slightly open door, Irene saw Sophie holding a spoon, drinking the drugged soup, sip by sip.

Then, after about ten minutes, Sophie began to show signs of unusual behavior.

Irene curled her lips in a smile, adjusted her demeanor, and deliberately hurried downstairs looking flustered.

"Brother, hurry upstairs and check. Sister Sophie seems to be in trouble..."

"What?"

Luke dropped the wine glass and strode upstairs.

He pushed open the door and entered Sophie’s room, finding her face flushed and her fingers clutching tightly at her shirt collar.

Luke was a keen observer; some things he understood at a glance.

"Irene!"

He was just about to turn back when he heard a ’bang’ as the bedroom door closed and locked.
