North America Gunman Detective
Chapter 1215 - 668: Unexpected Gain (Part 3)
Finally, Jimmy discovered the traces of the opponent. In the distance, there was a big tree, but there was a hole under the tree. Not only did the opponent curl up and enter the hole, but they also used branches and leaves to cover the entrance. If it weren't for Heart Eye Observation, he might have subconsciously chased after them.
"FBI, drop your weapon and surrender!"
Jimmy aimed at the tree hole not far away. He didn't get closer because he had already noticed the opponent's rifle. After shouting twice, the opponent didn't move. Jimmy thought for a moment and fired a shot directly at the tree hole, intentionally avoiding the opponent's position and hitting the side.
"Last warning, come out and surrender."
"Don't shoot, I'm coming out."
The person inside shouted, and the branches and leaves at the entrance began to move. Soon, a man emerged, first throwing out a rifle, then crawling out of the cave and standing up. Jimmy immediately ordered: "Lie down, spread your hands on the ground!"
According to normal capture procedures, having the opponent lie down and spread their arms was the safest, but it was obvious the opponent didn't plan to give up. He had already realized Jimmy was alone, which wasn't a situation he hadn't encountered before. As he bent down, ready to place his hands on the ground, his right hand suddenly swung towards his waist. "Bang," Jimmy shot him in the shoulder, "Don't move!"
"Clatter," the opponent's pistol fell to the ground. "Ah~" A bullet hit his shoulder, the man cried out in pain. His unwise move earned him a bullet, and it was a bullet from Jimmy's M4, which must have been intensely painful.
Jimmy approached, kicked him over with a sidekick, holding his gun in one hand and twisting the man's left hand behind his back with the other, then tossed his gun behind and handcuffed his right hand behind his back.
Jimmy pressed the communication button: "Suspect captured, he's been shot, in the right shoulder, find a nearby place for landing."
The helicopter had stayed near them, not far away. Upon receiving Jimmy's message, it immediately responded: "Received, please hold on."
After contacting the helicopter, Jimmy pulled the man up, searched him, and asked, "Who are you? How many of you are there? You'd better tell the truth, your two squads have been annihilated, you wouldn't want to be the next one."
The man's equipment was basically the same as the others, an HK416 and a SIG P226 combination, plus a tactical dagger, and the rest were a tactical backpack containing food and water, not much difference.
If there was indeed a difference, it was that he hadn't had time to add plates to his Bullet-Proof Vest, the plates were still in the backpack, obviously, he had overestimated himself, or adding plates was affecting his physical ability. Either way, it was inferior to the first two men Jimmy shot down, who at least had taken some time to put their plates on shortly after the battle began.
The man was still quite resolute, not saying a word, glaring at Jimmy grimly.
Jimmy didn't care, cleared out the man's belongings, placed them aside, and just waited for the helicopter's signal from a distance.
Soon, the helicopter informed Jimmy there was a small clearing about three hundred meters from their position suitable for landing, and they needed to head over.
Jimmy packed the man's weapons into the backpack, carrying both men's equipment, pushed the man towards the destination, finally able to board the helicopter and return smoothly.
After the helicopter landed, agents Raymond and Mahong, who had received prior notice, were already waiting there, arranging for others to first take the man Jimmy caught for emergency handling. After the two crew members got off the helicopter, they promptly hugged Jimmy with open arms: "Thank you, thank you very much, Agent Yang."
Jimmy smiled, patted their backs, turned to return to the command center tent. Alone in the forest handling so many things, he definitely needed to give a verbal report to Agent Raymond and others, after all, this wasn't the FBI. It would be hard for Jimmy to just end like he would in Manhattan with a final report.
Agent Raymond initially had some complaints about Jimmy's independent actions, but after witnessing three battles in one day, Jimmy's solo effectiveness surpassed their group efforts. His credit cannot be erased. In fact, if it weren't for Jimmy, DHS would have been utterly embarrassed, because according to the opponent's speed, if they hadn't stopped them today, by tomorrow they would be nearly at the US-Canada Border. Once they crossed the border, it would be troublesome to take any action, requiring coordination from Canadian government departments, and even necessitating cooperation from US-Canada military forces.
Anyway, the fugitive has been successfully eliminated, once the only surviving suspect is treated, they can begin the interrogation. By then, even if there are one or two who got away, they can first conclude the case to solidify their contributions.
Jimmy explained his actions and the gunfight scenes in considerable detail. When he mentioned that the FBI's SRT team had one death and two injuries, although everyone already knew the outcome, they felt retrospectively afraid of the battle's danger and were quietly astonished by the opponent's combat capabilities.
Initially, everyone only heard that Jimmy had taken down two people solo and thought the opponents were incompetent. Now, it's clear, it wasn't that the opponents were incompetent, but that Jimmy was too strong. He partnered with the SRT six-man team against three opponents, single-handedly eliminated two, and before the helicopter landed, spotted the last person and successfully captured them alive. Compared to the previously injured intercepting agents and the SRT team, it becomes increasingly apparent there's no way to write this report.
Agent Raymond had little expression on his face. Although DHS took the primary role this time, all the key positions were handled by the FBI, leading to a huge embarrassment, yet they couldn't overly disregard the FBI's contributions because there were casualties in the SRT team. As long as the FBI conducts a slight investigation, they would uncover everything.
