Jimmy watched their performance the whole way through, and as soon as the other side opened the door, he fired directly at the shadowy figure's chest area. Using semi-automatic mode, Jimmy's rate of fire wasn't fast; with just four bullets, both individuals fell to the ground. The man with the gun in both hands might have been a nerve reflex, as he fired a few shots while falling, but the bullets went off to who-knows-where.

The two deceased individuals were a man and a woman, the woman holding the suitcase, and the man in the lead was not Jimmy's target, Johnny.

"Suspect down, cease fire, cease fire, the suspect is at the back door, you may enter," Jimmy notified the police in front through his radio, then crouched down to pick up the four shell casings. These were evidence and couldn't just be left scattered on the ground.

Today, after firing, Jimmy did not comply with regulations by handing over his weapon to other police officers, but went back to his patrol car with his M16 instead.

Jimmy did not drive away immediately but waited on the spot. He had already communicated with Cage by phone on his way back, and the police officer responsible for this case would come to collect his shell casings later. As for the M16, since they still had to arrest Johnny, they didn't take it back just yet. After all, it was issued by the police station; they would retrieve it after the mission ended.

After dealing with the situation here, Jimmy returned to the intersection. During the time that had just passed, the search team still hadn't found Johnny; he must still be within the cordon.

Jimmy continued to monitor the passing people and vehicles at the intersection, focusing on anyone with a broken left arm. The weather was already hot, and many people were wearing short-sleeved T-shirts. It was apparent for anyone with a broken left arm, and they couldn't hide it. Even if they smashed the plaster, the arm would still look different from a normal arm. This was a clear marker, impossible to cover up with makeup.

"Feds, there's a house with a broken window on the door. Come take a look," a voice from the radio broadcasted a police report, unrelated to Jimmy, calling for FBI agents.

A few minutes later, there was another call over the radio.

"Suspect Johnny spotted, an officer has fired. 805 West Siglen Street, backup needed."

Jimmy started the patrol car once more and rushed to the scene. Now that the target had been found, the search was pointless. It was definitely time for full mobilization.

West Siglen Street was a main road. Jimmy had previously noted this area's map. Upon arriving, he found several police cars had already arrived on the main street, so he turned around and headed towards West Hampton Street, behind West Siglen Street. If the suspect fled through the back of the block, he could intercept him early.

The houses here were in two rows, front and back, with each row of backyards separated by wooden fences. It was rather unrealistic to run sideways through several yards. The quickest route was usually straight through the backyard into the next one, emerging from the house and onto the street behind.

Jimmy remembered that they had stopped in front of the fifth house on West Green Street, so the distance should be the same here at the back. Jimmy got out of the patrol car and approached the door of this house to knock.

"Plaskey County Police, open up."

A middle-aged woman came to the door and asked through the screen, "What's the matter, officer?"

"We're in pursuit of a criminal. He's in the house behind yours. I need to go through your backyard to prevent his escape."

"Of course, you can come in."

"Is it just you at home?"

"No, my daughter is here too."

"Take her and leave the house for now, go to your neighbor's across the way to hide. There might be a shootout; keep safe."

Jimmy arrived at the backyard through the rear door, The wooden fence wasn't tall, about 1.2 meters, and the view was excellent. He could see the surroundings of the house where the suspect was located.

Jimmy faintly heard someone in front shouting at the suspect, but the distance was indeed a bit far, and he couldn't hear clearly. Now he was the only one at the rear door, with everyone else concentrated at the front door.

Jimmy hid beside a pile of debris in the backyard, which provided a bit of cover to prevent the suspect from seeing him directly if he came out the back door—a risky position, too easy to get shot.

From his position, Jimmy couldn't quite make out Johnny's location inside the house, as Heart Eye's range was insufficient.

"Feds, I've reached the backyard of the house behind the suspect, and I'm the only one here. Can you confirm the suspect's location in the room? Over," he radioed.

"A few minutes ago, he was beside the window near the front door, but now the curtains are drawn, so we can't see him," came the reply.

"OK, draw his attention, I'll approach from the back," said Jimmy.

"Jimmy, stop, wait for me to join you," Cage's voice suddenly interjected.

"OK, you can come around from the side of the house on the left to the back," Jimmy directed.

Cage also arrived at the backyard, and Jimmy signaled him to confirm his position and provide cover. Then, Jimmy climbed over the wooden fence and entered the suspect's backyard.

He pressed against the back door of the house and used Heart Eye to confirm Johnny's position. There was only one person inside; the suspect hadn't removed the cast on his left arm, evident from the shape of an arm across his chest.

Johnny was most likely in the master bedroom, rummaging through a cabinet, judging from the shadows. It looked like a wall cabinet, with a shotgun and some square boxes underneath—probably ammunition.

But, being one-handed, Johnny theoretically wouldn't be able to use the shotgun; his weapon had to be a handgun.

Jimmy felt the situation was worth the risk of going in. He turned to signal Cage to be ready to cover him as he entered the house.

Cage informed the police and Federation agents at the front through the radio, then aimed his gun directly at the back door.

Jimmy pulled on the back door and found it locked. He took out a strip of duct tape from his pocket, peeled it off, and stuck it across the door's window, layering several strips.

"Make some noise at the front of the house," Jimmy pressed the radio to notify the others.

As the people at the front door started shouting, Jimmy smashed the middle of the taped glass with a baton. The glass shattered instantly, but since it was held together by the duct tape, only a few shards fell to the ground while most remained hanging. He reached in through the broken glass, unlocked the door from the inside, and entered the room with his revolver drawn.

This back door led to a utility room, which had another door leading to the living room. Using Heart Eye to pinpoint Johnny's location, Jimmy saw that he was still in the bedroom, apparently loading spare magazines with bullets—clumsily, with one hand.

Ensuring that Johnny couldn't see the living room door, Jimmy opened it and entered the living room. There was a small corridor leading to the bedroom, but walking directly through it would be too dangerous, so Jimmy opted for caution.

Following the tangent line of his Heart Eye's sight, Jimmy moved into position, his revolver aimed at the corridor leading to the bedroom. Once he had the gun line fully blocking the bedroom, he shouted:

"Johnny Santiago, you are surrounded. Put down your weapon and come out of the bedroom."
