Currently, Jimmy still decided to follow these two cars, regardless of whether they were the people he was looking for or not; by following them, he could at least figure out what they were up to in the middle of the night.

As for the person left in the room, to be honest, if Jimmy hadn't come over this time as part of the FBI, he would have loved to chat with the person playing on the computer in there.

Not long after Jimmy hit the road, he turned on the car lights, driving slowly within the speed limit, just like an ordinary person would. There were hardly any cars on the road at night, and Jimmy didn't dare to follow too closely to avoid being noticed.

Heading east all the way, they soon returned to Palm Beach; however, the two cars ahead split up, and Jimmy had no choice but to randomly pick one car to follow.

They drove all the way to a beach. Jimmy saw them park and he turned directly at the intersection and stopped, turning to watch them.

Two people dragged two bags out of the car and walked towards the sea, soon leaving Heart Eye's range. By the time Jimmy walked to the roadside to look, the two had already set up a rubber dinghy and thrown it onto the sea surface.

The two got on the rubber dinghy, and it began to move toward the sea. It seemed they had installed a silent engine; if it were powered by a gasoline engine, it would be abnormal not to hear any sound from dozens of meters away at night.

"Hey, sir, what are you doing?"

Jimmy was watching the sea when someone shouted from behind. Seeing the flashing police lights nearby, he sighed, "Don't shoot." He slowly raised his hands and turned around. A police car was parked a few meters away, and two officers had opened the doors, standing at the doorway watching Jimmy.

"FBI." Jimmy shouted, "I'm going to take out my credentials, don't get nervous." He slowly lowered his right hand, took out his credentials from the inner pocket of his suit, and opened it. One officer walked over with a flashlight, took the credentials, looked at them, and returned them to Jimmy, "Sir, what are you doing here?"

Jimmy retrieved his credentials: "I'm investigating the shooting incident at Mr. Rivera's house, just passing by here."

Officer: "OK, then we won't disturb you." With that, the officers turned back to the patrol car, and Jimmy also stopped looking at the sea, returning to his car, starting it up, and heading to Daniel Rivera's villa.

Jimmy figured when he saw them take out the rubber dinghy, he had a general idea of their target.

Palm Beach is a long, narrow island connected to the West Palm Beach city area through several bridges, which, once blocked, make it very difficult to leave the island area.

Just like during the earlier gunfire incident, when they escaped by rubber dinghy, the rubber dinghy they prepared today was clearly intended as a getaway route. If anything went wrong, they could head directly to the sea, and as long as they landed in an uninhabited place whether heading north or south, it would be difficult to track their route afterward.

Since the getaway route was the same, it was very likely the other car had gone to Rivera's villa, and the things they wanted should still not have been obtained.

Rivera's villa had already been cordoned off by the FBI, and there shouldn't be anyone in the villa now.

Upon reaching the intersection, Jimmy checked the street name, compared it to the map, and confirmed the direction, heading straight to Rivera's villa location. When he arrived, he found there were no cars parked in front of the villa.

Jimmy got out of the car, approached the villa, and used Heart Eye to ensure there was indeed no one in the villa, including the police officers guarding the crime scene.

Thinking for a moment, Jimmy returned to his car and lay directly on the back seat, so from the outside, it wouldn't be easy to spot him right away.

He believed his judgment was correct; based on the sea getaway route, their target must still be here.

After a while, Jimmy's phone rang. He glanced at it and answered, "Mr. Hudson, is something the matter?"

Dave: "Jimmy, where are you?"

Jimmy: "I found a few suspicious people and am tracking them."

Dave: "Is it related to the shooting incident?"

Jimmy: "There's a good chance. I tracked a suspicious individual found outside the villa to their hideout. The four of them went out at midnight; they must be up to something, though it's not confirmed yet."

Dave: "Where are you exactly now?"

Jimmy: "Palm Beach, by the sea."

Dave: "Just got the news, a few minutes ago, there was an attack at the Mary Medical Center. A night shift security guard was found unconscious in the fire escape, and the perpetrator wasn't caught, nor were there any witnesses. Daniel Rivera is in that hospital."

Frowning, Jimmy thought for a moment, "Was Daniel Rivera assaulted?"

Dave: "He's fine; two bodyguards are guarding the ward, and the hospital has already reported it to the police. Patrol Officers have intervened in the investigation."

Jimmy: "I understand. Since the police are already investigating over there, I won't go over, and I'll continue to follow up on my end."

Dave: "Alright then, take care."

Jimmy: "I will, goodbye."

Dave sure has up-to-date information. Even though it's not New York here, he could know about a hospital attack just minutes ago; someone must have informed him, and it was specific information.

It can only be said that people who hold certain positions have enough resources to handle various incidents, even if they're not in their familiar domain.

Dave and Daniel are not in the same hospital. Palm Beach itself isn't large, nor does it have a big resident population, but it has quite a few hospitals, and most are high-end private medical centers, so a wealthy person like Rivera would certainly receive the best medical care.

Jimmy decided against going to the hospital for an investigation; he still trusted his own judgment that the rubber dinghy must be the backup escape plan of the gunmen's team. No matter what they do, they will definitely come back to the villa to look for things.

As facts would prove Jimmy's guess correct, his car was parked on the roadside outside the villa's main entrance, and he didn't notice anyone coming by, but when he turned to look at the villa, he found someone had already entered and was climbing the stairs to the second floor, seemingly having entered the backyard directly from the beach direction.

The back wall of the villa's backyard here is merely decorative—it's typically not too difficult for ordinary people to climb over.

Jimmy looked around, got out of the car, drew his revolver, and walked towards the villa. He didn't bring a flashlight. Acting alone, he didn't need one; crossing the police tape, Jimmy reached the villa's main entrance and gently pushed it. The door was still locked, so it seemed the person did enter from behind.

After circling halfway around the villa, Jimmy reached the backyard, glanced towards the beach to confirm no one was in sight before going to the backdoor, gently pushing open the glass sliding door. It appeared that the lock here had also been opened by the person entering. Jimmy stepped into the villa and casually closed the glass door.

However, as soon as Jimmy entered the villa, the person on the second floor seemed to have received news. He was rummaging through a room when he suddenly stopped, walked to the door, then paused and looked down the second-floor corridor.

Jimmy also stopped in his tracks. Turning to look at the sea, something was wrong. If he wasn't mistaken, that rubber dinghy was on the sea, and the people on it probably had thermal imaging or night-vision equipment, constantly watching the villa's backdoor direction, signaling the person on the second floor when Jimmy appeared.

Of course, there's also the possibility that the person upstairs had installed a motion sensor at the backdoor, but without a flashlight, Jimmy couldn't check. Relying only on Heart Eye, he couldn't distinguish whether there was a motion sensor because he didn't know exactly what it was.

Jimmy stared at the person on the second floor, and the person upstairs also focused on the hallway from the doorway, both freezing in place.

Jimmy kept occasionally glancing towards the sea. The room had no lights on, and since he had shut the glass door earlier, theoretically, thermal imaging shouldn't be able to see him now. However, night vision is different; it can still pick up a rough outline as long as there's some light.

Finally, the person on the second floor couldn't resist going back into the room to continue searching. Apparently, the person outside who was giving him updates had lost track of Jimmy's position. This was good news.
