North America Gunman Detective
Chapter 871 - 514: A Rarely Seen Expert
The FBI operates with a lot of procedures. They pre-arranged for patrol officers from the Miami police station to wait at intersections in several nearby blocks for notification. After a plan was agreed upon here, patrol officers would enter the fish market warehouse area to establish temporary traffic control around, to avoid unrelated pedestrians wandering in by accident.
Jimmy followed behind Li and the others, approaching from the main entrance of the market warehouse area, while the other two teams approached from another exit and the intersection connecting the fish market and the warehouse area.
With the cooperation of the police, traffic in this area was completely blocked during their operation. Now, apart from the people inside the fish market, only those in the warehouse area remained.
The slight complication was that there were still quite a few vehicles loading and unloading goods in the warehouse. Li and the others, while commanding these people to temporarily leave for safety, approached the long warehouse.
The warehouse here was a more than hundred-meter-long parallel warehouse with ten warehouse numbers on one side. The structure was the same on the opposite side, theoretically isolated inside.
The surveillance team only provided the location of the door of Warehouse No. 3 in the middle, but the situation inside the warehouse remained unknown.
Jimmy followed at the end. Because he didn't approach the warehouse in advance, he was also unaware of the exact positions of the people inside. Moreover, without a bullet-proof vest, he did not join the assault team and could only act according to the situation from behind.
"Bang bang..." Gunfire came from the other side of the warehouse, followed by a shout from the agents on the radio, "We are being fired upon, not the intended targets, repeat, not the intended targets."
The agents on Li's side weren't in position yet when they heard the gunfire. "GO! GO!" Li immediately gave the order, and all the agents on this side sprinted over. It was evidently too late to go around to the other side of the warehouse, so they had to first assault the original target.
Jimmy drew out his imitation Colt Python. Since Li clearly stated he was kept out of the operation plan, Jimmy didn't take extra guns from other agents and just used his own firearm for protection.
As others sprinted forward, he ran over too, only noticing those who were exchanging gunfire with the agents from the opposite side as he approached the warehouse.
In the other warehouse, there were five people, three of whom were engaged in a gun battle with the agents outside at the entrance. They hid behind the warehouse goods. It seemed that warehouse had no back door; if they didn't drive off the agents at the door, there was no way they could escape.
For now, it seemed, the agents on the other side shouldn't be in too much danger, as long as they didn't act like heroes and rush into the warehouse; taking cover and shooting should minimize the risk.
Li and the others were already in position at the entrance of Warehouse No. 3. An agent pressed the mouth of the pre-prepared manual hydraulic pliers onto the lock of the rolling door. Li counted "three, two, one," and in just two motions, the lock was removed from the rolling door. The person beside them pushed the rolling door up from the side.
"FBI!" A group of agents shouted "FBI" as they aimed inside from the entrance. No one was visible within the field of vision, and the group began to enter alternately from left and right, each covering their own shooting sector. From their coordination, it could be seen that the agents on this side truly had excellent quality, at least preventing chaotic entry from the door.
Jimmy saw the situation inside: six people scattered behind the shelves, but he couldn't issue an alert in advance and could only stand outside anxiously. "Bang bang", as soon as Li and the others entered, they were attacked, all agents immediately took cover behind goods and exchanged fire with the opposition.
Fortunately, among the six people currently observed, only five were armed with pistols. One person in a wheelchair was hidden pushed in a corner, not participating in the gunfight.
"I've been shot." An agent fell to the ground and called out, another crouched down to pull him away from the original position, checked briefly, and immediately shouted, "Cover me." Other agents immediately began suppressive fire, putting his gun back into the holster, he pulled the downed agent, bending, out of the warehouse.
Jimmy immediately ran over, "Where were you shot?"
The shot agent, enduring the pain, said, "Right shoulder and right leg, both almost at the same time. Damn it, the people inside are excellent marksmen, not ordinary."
Jimmy looked at the other agent dragging him out, "Call an ambulance and inform the inside, I'm going in."
The agent nodded, pressed down on the radio, before he finished speaking, Jimmy already had reached the warehouse door, took a glance, and bent to run inside.
Jimmy: "Guys, take cover, their marksmanship is excellent."
Jimmy, holding his revolver, exposed his right arm from the side of the cover and fired a shot. He immediately stood up and fired two more shots, directly taking down their greatest threat on the flank. After shooting, he immediately crouched down and moved to the side, having seen someone on the opposite side shift their target and aim at his direction.
Shifting position to continue, yet the gunmen on the opposite side were suppressed by Li and the others for a bit. During a gap in Li's suppressive fire, they immediately got up to shoot. Jimmy did not hold back, there was still the guy in the wheelchair there. The testimonies of the other people wouldn't matter much.
"I've been hit." Yet another agent got shot, this time there was no one to take him back, with his position there was only himself, he could only hide behind an obstacle.
The marksmanship levels of the few people on the other side varied. From behind cover, Jimmy could roughly see that two of them were excellent marksmen, very calm, with no distorted movements and no bullet wasted on suppressive fire.
