"Cease fire!" There was no longer any return fire from inside. Lee shouted twice, then arranged for cover, inching towards the warehouse door. Jimmy was no longer needed here, so he simply holstered his revolver and watched Lee and the others rush in to apprehend the people inside.

This time the FBI suffered heavy losses, with five agents shot on both sides. If it weren't for Jimmy, most of Lee's men would probably have been taken down by those two experts. They wouldn't have died, though— the people on the other side wouldn't have thought of directly killing so many FBI agents. Otherwise, the three agents who were shot probably wouldn't have even had the chance to shout out that they were hit, but getting shot was unavoidable for most.

Aside from the injuries from the gunshots, the result was quite good. It's just uncertain how the forensic doctor and the lab would react after examining the wounds and bullet marks and finding that everyone on the other side was killed by the same person, who wasn't from the Miami office.

The ambulance arrived quickly. Since a shootout had occurred, besides the patrol officers blocking traffic, the FBI also contacted and brought in some police officers to need the scene to be sealed and protected. There was also a necessity for on-site inspection and evidence collection. In short, the shootout at the two warehouses would keep the Miami office busy for a while.

But Jimmy was overthinking it. Once the scene was more or less organized, Lee came over to Jimmy, "Thanks, Jimmy."

Jimmy smiled and shook his head, "No worries, we're all on the same team. It's what I should do. Want a smoke?" He pulled out a pack of cigarettes, offered one to Lee, and took a puff of his half-smoked one.

Lee: "I heard you. How many shots did you fire? I need to write a report."

Jimmy: "Thirteen. Do you need me to save the shell casings for you?"

Lee nodded, "Yes, I didn't see your shell casings at the scene; you can save them for me."

Jimmy shrugged, took all the casings out of his pocket, and Lee pulled out an evidence bag, placed them in it, and tucked it into his suit pocket. "These are needed for the action report, no choice. Don't worry, there won't be any problem. Is the gun you used your own?"

Jimmy: "Yeah, it's mine, but I've already reported it to the bureau as my backup."

Lee: "OK, then that's all good. I'll have them quickly finish the checks and matches, and notify you once the case is closed."

Alright, it seemed like exposure was inevitable. Lee, this guy, previously seemed like a slacker, lazy in handling cases, but once the agents got shot in the hospital, his demeanor completely changed to swift and decisive, nothing like his previous laziness.

Now even after the gunfight ended, he remembered to find Jimmy for verification. If it were Jimmy himself, he definitely wouldn't have handled it all this bothersome way. The more outsiders involved, the harder the report is to write.

Jimmy looked around the scene. They were almost done handling things. "What about the guy in the wheelchair?"

Lee: "In the car. We'll take him directly to the bureau later. This time, things probably aren't that simple."

Jimmy nodded, "Definitely not simple. Ordinary people can't orchestrate a rescue plan like this."

Lee nodded as well; he, of course, thought of what Jimmy said, but they needed to wait for the interrogation to confirm where they came from and their purpose.

Jimmy: "My task here is done. Dave's got a flight back to New York the day after tomorrow morning, and I'll be returning with him. The rest is up to you guys."

Lee: "Don't worry, I'll handle it. Say hi to Mr. Hudson for me."

Jimmy glanced around, "Sure, will do. It's getting late; if there's nothing else here, I'll head back to Palm Beach first. After being busy for so long, I need to handle some follow-ups, and that rental car needs some paperwork handled— it took quite a hit this time."

Lee: "No problem, if later we need you to verify some information, we'll call. Do you need a statement from us for your car? The insurance company should sort it out."

Jimmy: "No need, I'll handle it myself. OK! See you later, Lee."

Jimmy turned to leave and then turned back, "Lee, do you know where the Chinatown here in Miami is? I need some more smokes. I've run out over the past few days and only like this brand; I don't want to switch."

Lee blinked and then realized: "In the vicinity of North Miami Avenue and Northwest 7th Street, near downtown. It's not large; just look at a map and you'll find it. Sorry, there haven't been many Chinese people around here, so I haven't paid much attention to the locations of other communities."

Jimmy and Lee shared a hug and then left the warehouse area, heading back to his car. First, he'd get some supplies, then go back to Palm Beach.
