Facing the pawnshop before him, Detective Rob ultimately decided not to give up on continuing the surveillance, nor to interfere with other agencies' operations. He simply extended the initially scheduled surveillance time slightly. After all, the surveillance team had costs too, and for the sake of catching this big fish, he could only tearfully ask them to keep monitoring.

After Detective Rob left, the DEA agents also noticed something unusual. Detective Rob's surveillance team claimed to be a young married couple who had rented the house, but the DEA noticed that apart from going out for exercise in the morning and evening, they hardly ever left the house. For young people, that was the biggest anomaly.

Upon receiving the information, DEA Agent Torsten Marcus made the same judgment as Detective Rob, that there were other agencies eyeing this big fish as well.

For them, they only needed a bit of direct evidence to take down Frog and then dig up the entire gang. Now that another agency had appeared, it could potentially disrupt their operations.

Agent Torsten arranged for his surveillance team to include that house as well and then continued to wait for more news.

Kyle Bly picked up Johanna from the hospital. Since it was a traffic accident, after confirmation from Johanna, they arranged for Swen's cremation.

For his partner Swen, Kyle cared deeply. Even though they hadn't worked together for long, the two men, completely different in character, had matched well.

After Swen's funeral, Kyle drove Johanna back and then returned to his cabin, packed the money he had hidden, and went back to Johanna's place again.

Kyle: "Johanna, pack your bags and leave Arkansas. This money is for you and the child. Go to Kentucky, find Gray Cypriot Town, where Swen's family is."

Johanna took the bag, frowned, and asked, "Kentucky?"

Kyle: "Swen had many sisters; there will be people who can take care of the baby, better than he could."

Johanna covered her face and then said, "The baby should know the truth, tell me the truth."

Kyle: "Swen, his real surname is Horn. We're drug dealers, not street vendors, but wholesalers. We deliver from Arkansas to Florida and Louisiana.

The ranger Wright was our boss, whom you knew. After Wright died, we were like headless flies, sitting on cash but not knowing what to do. We could only continue delivering along the original route."

Johanna looked at Kyle speechlessly, "I understand now."

Johanna packed her bags, and Kyle helped her put them in the car.

Kyle: "Be careful on the road, take good care of yourself and the child."

Johanna looked at Kyle and said, "You could come with me."

Kyle: "No, I can't, it's not safe for you."

Johanna, "So, what are you going to do next?"

Kael, "I don't know. I like it here; I like being with you and Swen. I don't know where to go or what to do."

Johanna stepped forward and hugged Kael. After a long while, Kael finally agreed to Johanna. They returned to Kael's cabin, packed some luggage, took the remaining money, and left directly.

(Lately, my mood has been swinging drastically. Originally, Kael was supposed to take over Frog's phone number and complete the cycle of drug trafficking, but thinking it over, I decided to give him a happy ending and adjust the story. Let's forget the clues I mentioned earlier.)

Kael and Swen had registered under fake names at the park, set up by Bright. Now that the two of them had disappeared, no one else could find them.

The biggest impact of Kael's departure was on Frog and his team. One of their trafficking channels had suddenly been cut off, and the money from before had not yet returned. Frog sent people to investigate, but they found nothing.

When misfortune rains, it pours. Tim and Thomas's glass donut shop had a stranger come in, claiming that Nokevi wanted to buy them out completely.

Tim contacted Frog, and Frog realized someone was attempting a hostile takeover, to swallow them up. Recalling the sudden disappearance of Kael and Swen, Frog sensed big trouble brewing and instructed the brothers to quickly gather all the merchandise and funds and move them to a new location for safekeeping.

While Tim and his team were consolidating the goods, another group was watching them. Thanks to Jimmy's bravery, a previous group of gunmen had already been taken care of. However, those wanting to undermine Frog weren't dissuaded by one failure, so another batch of hired desperados restarted their plan to stir trouble.

However, what Frog didn't know was that their operation was completely monitored by the DEA.

The banks of the Mississippi River were the industrial belt of America's Golden Age, hosting countless various factories. After many years, many factories had been abandoned.

That night, the Tim brothers drove a van carrying goods to a designated abandoned factory, and Frog followed them shortly after.

They needed to hand over the goods to Frog to rearrange the hiding spots, and there was no better place than these abandoned factories around the city. Once the goods were hidden there, without someone familiar with the location to guide others, no one else would be able to figure out exactly where they were hidden.

Since this was a smuggling operation, neither party brought extra people to avoid leaking the location.

As Frog and his team were acting, the DEA's surveillance squad was also tracking them in sync. After collating surveillance data, DEA agent Torsten Marcus keenly detected an issue. Previously, Frog and his subordinates usually met in their respective stores, but this sudden shift in the meeting place definitely meant something was up, and they used to drive private cars, but this time they switched to a van, certainly to transport something.

After notifying the other members to assemble, Agent Torsten directly contacted the tracking surveillance squad, and five DEA agents drove quickly to the target location.

Compared to the big operations at the borders, local small-time drug dealers like Frog usually did not have significant armed forces. They were just the downstream in the entire chain; having spare money to expand channels and improve life was already good, imagining like major drug lords to afford an array of firepower and maintain a bunch of gunmen was practically impossible. At most, they had a few handguns or shotguns.

With the surveillance squad providing backup support, the few agents were enough to deal with Frog and his people. Unfortunately, they did not know that the Tim brothers were being followed by someone else.

Two other individuals were watching Frog, and upon noticing that both Frog and the surveillance team had left, they immediately reported to Rob Hodg, an investigator from the State Police Criminal Investigation Department. Agent Rob's target was two assassins in a blue sedan. Without any signs of the assassins, Agent Rob gave the instruction to wait for them to make a move, thus completely losing the opportunity to further pursue the case.
