Agent Torsten and his team were still en route when they suddenly received a notification from the surveillance team, "There is a minivan also traveling on the same route ahead, they might be tracking the Tim brothers as well."

"Keep following them."

DEA Agent Torsten Marcus thought for a moment and then directly called Sergeant Cage, requesting backup.

Reluctantly taking on such a troublesome matter, Cage contacted the chief, and eventually, with no other choice, called Jimmy. For this kind of task, no one was more suitable for backup than Jimmy.

Jimmy was patrolling when he received Cage's call. He immediately turned his vehicle around and changed his destination. He was losing interest in patrolling the streets, but the prospect of supporting the DEA was suddenly very appealing to him.

Not long after Frog and the Tim brothers entered the abandoned factory, the minivan arrived outside the facility. Thanks to technological advances, they too could purchase location devices. They had installed one on the Tim brothers' car, enabling them to pinpoint the vehicle's position and distance in real-time, which was undeniably useful.

Six fully armed individuals alighted from the minivan and entered the abandoned factory. The DEA's surveillance team stopped at a distance and reported the situation.

Agent Torsten was surprised by the news and ordered everyone to proceed at full speed. Frog's group only had three people, and if they were attacked by these six, the chances of capturing Frog alive were slim to none.

When Agent Torsten's five-person team reached the exterior of the factory, they were already ten minutes behind the previous six individuals. According to the surveillance team's report, no gunshots were heard inside the factory. The five agents were also fully armed, two with M16s and three with MP5s, but they had the added protection of bullet-proof vests and helmets, which were equipped with monocular night vision goggles.

When it came to equipment, these mercenaries couldn't possibly compare with well-funded agencies like the DEA or FBI. At night, the advantage of night vision goggles would be greatly magnified.

Torsten and his team also entered the factory, but unlike the previous group, they dispersed upon entry, advancing toward the large central warehouse.

Cage and Jimmy were the last to arrive. After meeting up, they connected their earpieces to the radio and switched to the DEA's designated channel, then remained on standby outside the factory.

For this type of operation, the role of the police was minimal, generally just maintaining order outside or assisting with arrests once the inside situation was under control. As it was night and the surroundings were comprised of abandoned factories, there were no onlookers to manage.

Cage took out an M16, while Jimmy couldn't be bothered, as his M16 use, though not to the point of being trash, fell woefully short when compared to his revolver. With the revolver in hand, he had no concerns at close range.

Police lacked night vision devices. From outside, the factory was pitch-black. Cage took cover behind the patrol car facing away from the factory, while Jimmy approached the factory walls and peered inside. Heart Eye's feedback was still too short-ranged; he could only make out a variety of structures and debris but detected no human forms.

Agent Torsten's team entered the warehouse, using the walls and abandoned debris to advance their search slowly, until they stumbled upon a room with a light on.

"Hold positions, Number 4, go check it out," Torsten commanded the others to stay put, assigning the person closest to the room to observe. Number 4 approached the doorway, using the external obstacles for cover while surveying the room's interior.

"All six criminals are in the room, each armed with AK series rifles, none with bullet-proof vests. Two are inspecting the goods, one is interrogating. Three are resting on the floor. Our three targets have been subdued, currently, Target A is being interrogated, and Targets B and C are on the ground."

"What about casualties?"

"Target A (Frog) is still alive. The status of Targets B and C cannot be determined."

The fugitives were indeed unprofessional, congregating in a lit room without a single lookout outside.

"Approach quietly, don't alert them." The DEA agents began closing in on the room from all sides.

"Hold on, there are two doors at the back of the room; unknown where they lead," Number 4 did another check before retreating and informing the others over the radio.

"Number 5, check the back," "Roger that," Number 5 turned and headed towards the other side of the warehouse in case the fugitives had an escape route through the back doors, which would render their encirclement useless.

"Clang," Number 5's route was obstructed by a metal barrel. Even though he was equipped with night vision goggles, he accidentally kicked it.

The criminals inside the room were immediately alerted, and the one conducting the interrogation turned to those resting and said, "Huh? Go check outside."

Three men picked up their weapons and moved to the doorway. One peeked outside but saw nothing unusual before stepping out, with the other two following. The three began to search in the direction of the noise.

"DEA, you are surrounded. Drop your weapons and surrender," seeing them start to disperse, Torsten immediately shouted from behind cover. They were only five men, and it would be more difficult to maintain a perimeter if the criminals scattered.

DEA isn't a military force and doesn't execute kill missions. They couldn't just open fire and ambush. Although shouting seemed foolish, they had to go through the proper procedures.

The criminals didn't surrender but turned and fired in the direction of Torsten's voice. While firing, they retreated, and the three inside the room, hearing the shots, stopped what they were doing and left with their weapons.

The surroundings were dark, with various objects and machinery scattered around. Aside from Torsten, who was targeted by the criminals, the other agents also returned fire and then took cover.

These criminals weren't novices who'd keep a finger on the trigger indefinitely; they used short bursts of fire and then took cover themselves, displaying impressive combat skills and certainly not like movie villains who just fire standing in place without taking cover.

Agent Number 2, being farthest away, hurried over upon hearing the gunfire. Through the night vision goggles, he spotted a criminal crouched behind cover and fired. The criminal cried out, then was whisked away by bullets.

"They have night vision, take cover, don't stay in one place," One criminal, hearing the gunshot and his comrade's scream, realized the situation was dire. In the pitch darkness, one side having night vision was a tremendous advantage.

"Fall back, fall back," the criminal shouted as he pulled a grenade from his belt and threw it towards the location from where the DEA had shouted, then dashed back into the room. Two nearby agents fired but missed.

With a "boom," the grenade exploded, knocking both Torsten and another agent to the ground. Torsten was better off, protected by his bullet-proof vest, with shrapnel injuries on his left arm and leg. The other agent wasn't so lucky; standing opposite Torsten, he was injured on the right side, resulting in one agent being incapacitated from the fight.
