North America Gunman Detective
Chapter 940 - 544: Closure (Part 2)
After opening a gap of about ten centimeters, Mahong abruptly pushed the fire door, while leaning back immediately to dodge away from the door, "bang bang," two shots pierced through the gap and hit the wall beside Mahong.
Mahong didn't wait, and directly fell to the ground shooting at the door, while extending his foot to brace against the door, keeping it from closing.
Mahong's combat ability was among the top tier of agents, Jimmy had known this before; his shooting and fighting skills were strong. This time, he fired following a plan rehearsed in his mind. So, although the whole process was not entirely smooth, there was at least no panic. With the door wide open, the shots he fired successfully hit the person in the stairwell.
Watching the person in front of him fall to the ground, Mahong breathed heavily, aiming around to ensure no one else appeared, only then slowly getting up, continuously staring at the person on the ground.
The person Mahong shot was a woman, but when shooting, Mahong didn't consider her gender at all.
He pushed the door open and walked into the stairwell, first kicking away the person's gun, then checking to ensure she was completely dead, before leaving the stairwell to stand by the fire door, continuing to watch the outside hallway and the adjacent stairwell.
Over on Jimmy's side, he was clearing the room while watching the two people and the stretcher bed by the freight elevator on the sixth floor. It was very strange why they hadn't moved?
Soon, Jimmy went to the stairwell heading to the sixth floor, then directly walked towards the freight elevator location. So far, no one else had approached the freight elevator; it seemed only the two of them were here.
Jimmy arrived at the hallway of the freight elevator passage, hiding at the corner and peeking out. Two women stood on the left and right beside the stretcher bed, staring at the hallway, occasionally glancing back at the floor display, which had not changed.
Returning to the corner, now it seemed that the person Mahong dealt with was likely the one to activate the freight elevator. Previous alarms might have caused someone to shut down the elevator inadvertently, requiring them to manually start the elevator on the stopping floor.
The wheel stand beneath the stretcher bed couldn't move on the stairwell; unless they wanted to carry it downstairs, the elevator was the best option.
Thinking about it, Jimmy didn't want to play the part of saving the day like the fairytale, a gunman drawing out four assistants, then drawing out six more to save her, this game was truly annoying.
Jimmy had already replaced the bullets earlier, taking a deep breath, Jimmy quickly darted out into the hallway, shouting, "FBI, drop your guns," simultaneously raising his gun to fire.
Heart Eye locked onto the two women and the gunman on the stretcher bed. Jimmy used an ability he hadn't used in a long time, targeting specific positions, rapidly firing to empty the magazine.
The two women were staring at the hallway, but Jimmy appeared too suddenly, and fired too quickly, only able to return fire once or twice before being directly hit by Jimmy. Jimmy, however, didn't intend to give them another chance this time, aiming at the chest, and one shot was aimed at the heart.
The woman on the left took three shots and the one on the right took two, while the person on the stretcher bed took one, dying instantly, sparing them further pain.
After dealing with three people, Jimmy ducked back behind the corner, putting the Python away, then pulling out the Glock, checking the surroundings, then walking towards the freight elevator.
Jimmy glanced around; this was a hospital, not a special place, surprisingly, there was no surveillance here by the freight elevator, conveniently for Jimmy.
He put on gloves again, picked up the two women's handguns to fire a few shots down the hallway as a gesture, then discarded them on the ground, kicking them aside, removing the gloves.
A crowd of police had already gathered outside on the first floor but no one had rushed in yet; these police were really, no comment.
In Heart Eye's range, there were no more people displaying suspicious behavior. Now, he needed to find his own; he had already spotted two agents on the eighth floor, still missing three.
Using Heart Eye Observation, Jimmy saw four people lying outside the passenger elevator on the sixth floor, one lying in a room on the fifth floor, and two in the hallway, possibly the agents they had left to guard.
Jimmy went to look at the people lying on the ground first, then searched the room nearby, urging them to treat all the downed injured persons promptly.
"The gunmen have been neutralized, quickly go outside and save the victims, hurry, immediately."
Jimmy shouted out, displaying his FBI badge, simultaneously pulling out his phone and calling Mahong, "Mahong, I found four agents, still one missing, inform the police downstairs to come up quickly, many people have been shot, need urgent handling. I'll continue searching for the last one."
Mahong: "Have all the gunmen been found?"
Jimmy: "I shot five, but accidentally hit the female gunman we previously captured."
Mahong: "I dealt with one, okay, let's assume they only had these few. I'll inform the police downstairs."
Jimmy hung up the phone, and hurried to the fifth floor. Fortunately, the people crawling on the ground were not FBI agents. Jimmy shouted "FBI," as he opened door after door, soothing the people inside.
Finally, Jimmy found an agent wearing a suit in a room, sitting in a corner, leaning against the wall, his head tilted to one side, holding a gun in his hand on the ground.
"Hey, buddy, how are you?" Jimmy ran over, felt around the carotid artery, extremely weak, his suit already soaked, looked at, shot twice in the chest, once in the abdomen. A long trail of blood on the ground from outside extending below him indicated he likely dragged himself here after getting shot outside.
Jimmy immediately ran out, "FBI, is there a doctor or nurse? Save him!" shouting while pushing open doors, finally finding a doctor in a white coat, Jimmy immediately rushed over, pulling him along to run towards the room, "Doctor, hurry, save him."
The doctor was quite frightened, but Jimmy shouting FBI outside had still shown his identity, so he didn't struggle excessively, arriving beside the shot agent, simply inspecting and saying, "He's lost too much blood, needs immediate transfusion and surgery."
Jimmy: "Then hurry."
Doctor: "I need a nurse, need an operating room, what's his blood type?"
Jimmy: "I don't know, you get it sorted fast."
Jimmy finished speaking and ran out, "FBI, is there a doctor or nurse? Save him! There's a need for emergency surgery here. It's already safe."
Soon, a terrified nurse peeked from the room door looking at Jimmy, "FBI, hurry and save him."
Jimmy grabbed her and rushed towards the room he was just in, taking a glance downstairs where the police started entering the hospital building, finally moving into action, it wasn't easy.
The police quickly reached the floors, the elevator operating normally, once they intervened, all the active doctors and nurses began an urgent rescues.
Mahong also ascended the floors, seeing Jimmy hurriedly running over, "How's everything, Jimmy?"
Jimmy, looking grave-faced, lowly said to Mahong, "I'm alright, but… two agents can't be saved." With the continuous shouting earlier, Jimmy's throat was somewhat sore with a tearing sensation, and his voice was slightly hoarse.
Mahong patted Jimmy, "Let's go have a look."
In this situation, truly trying to calm anyone was difficult; five agents, three in surgery, two without heartbeats, blood loss extensive, practically could be declared dead already.
Mahong and Jimmy, in the complex hospital environment, could only walk around, observing the police's response. The FBI personnel had arrived too, now together with the police examining and marking the corpses and firearms present.
Mahong's phone rang, he answered, "Hughes?... It's sorted... Alright."
Mahong hung up the phone and said to Jimmy, "Let's leave this to them, we're heading back. Hughes needs us to report the situation here in person."
