Originally, these tasks weren't supposed to be handled by the Anti-Terrorism Team, but there was no choice. There weren't enough people on site, and they were from out of town, so relying on just Barney and his few men wasn't going to cut it.

Jimmy had already returned to the main building. After searching a few rooms, he called Barney to the study, "Barney, there might be a hidden chamber here."

Jimmy pointed under the bookshelf, where you could see some scratches, "These books were probably knocked off the shelf. Look at this—there's something behind the bookshelf."

Barney and Jimmy both drew their guns, called over two people, and moved the bookshelf slightly out of the way. A hole appeared in the wall, revealing a passage downward, but they couldn't see what was below.

This was quite the surprise. Barney stood at the hole looking down; there were fixed steel bars along the wall that served as steps. He looked around, "I'll go down; you guys cover me from up here."

Jimmy grabbed Barney's arm, "Hold on, there might be someone down there. Let's try to negotiate first."

Barney nodded, "Listen up down there, you're surrounded. Come up and surrender immediately."

After shouting a couple of times, there was no response from below. Jimmy could see that two people had been sitting on chairs down there. While they were moving the shelf and talking, those people had gotten up, so negotiation was now useless. Jimmy looked at Barney: "Shock Bomb."

Barney nodded to the agent beside him, who went out to the car and brought back two shock bombs, "Fire in the hole!" Barney shouted, pulled the pin, and tossed a shock bomb down, then quickly moved away from the hole.

After the blast sound from below, Barney threw another shock bomb down after cracking it open, and after it went off, he immediately descended through the hole. "Bang bang bang," gunfire sounded from below, followed by Barney shouting, "All clear!"

The others then descended. Jimmy didn't go down; as soon as the first shock bomb exploded, the two below were already hit. The subsequent gunfire indicated their disorientation, so Barney had no problem going down.

Several agents went down and captured them; everything went smoothly. Once they came back up to report the situation, this matter was considered settled. The rest was to search the entire manor for evidence.

Jimmy holstered his gun, pulled over a chair, and sat waiting for them to handle the situation. As for how to bring the two people up, it depended on whether they could find another exit. That exit's passage had a gentle slope, so it should be easy to bring them out.

However, Jimmy overestimated them—they simply looked around below and then had someone come up to get a rope, intending to haul them out through this hole; too rough an approach.

Barney came back up very pleased, hugging Jimmy, "Thanks, Jimmy, it's all because you found this secret chamber."

Jimmy patted Barney and pushed him away, "Did you find much down there?"

Barney nodded, "A small weapons cache, a server setup, and two laptops. There are also surveillance setups on the walls, capable of monitoring various points around the manor. This is definitely a crucial base."

Jimmy smiled as well. Although intelligence suggested this was the headquarters of the Deep Red Rose, there was no hard evidence. He had worried that after the raid, this was only an ordinary manor, which would have been hard to deal with.

Now with these items, a lot of information should be obtainable, and there will be accountability.

Jimmy: "Who are the people down there?"

Barney: "Haven't asked yet—what do you think? Want to join in on the interrogation?"

Jimmy: "You guys are the pros; it's better you handle it. Being part of this operation was already a big deal for me—I'm satisfied."

Barney shrugged, "Don't worry, you'll get your due. I'm going to organize the team to investigate this manor."

Jimmy: "Mm, don't worry about me, I'll take a break."

Barney left with the others. Jimmy glanced around the study, opened a box from a nearby cabinet, "bingo," finding it was a cigar box. Since his cigarettes had been snatched up by the Anti-Terrorism Team, finding cigars here was perfect for lighting up one.

Jimmy used a cigar cutter to clip the ends, took the cigar out of the study, gestured to Barney, and headed outside to light it.

This was quite the haul, and the credit was already earned. Now it was time to think about whether to have Kevin and the others return as soon as possible.

The reason to consider this is because there is still an unresolved training camp, only this one is in Canada. Without Winston providing intelligence, DHS probably wouldn't deal with it unless they found clues in the server and computers below to trace to that training camp.

Whether the people they've shot and captured here are the entire high-ranking members of the Deep Red Rose is uncertain. Jimmy would need to confirm with Winston back in New York. If anyone escaped, for the sake of eradicating threats, even if DHS doesn't act, Jimmy would take action to destroy their training camp himself.

There's no point in constantly preventing thieves; living in fear of attacks is no life, and Nia and the others can't endure assassinations—they're not like him.

Now that things have calmed down, it's time to consider Winston's issues. Jimmy hadn't expected their influence to be this vast, managing to coordinate DHS in three days; whoever's backing them must hold a significant position, one would think they only provided somewhat vague intelligence.

And considering this so-called headquarters, it seemed off—more like the private manor of the organization's leader rather than their headquarters. The manor had weak security, and the dozen killed appeared to be merely armed guards, not the elite of an assassin organization, which contradicted what a secure headquarters should resemble.

There was something wrong with this intelligence—there was only an address, no personnel details, no internal details of the manor, yet it managed to have DHS dispatch two Anti-Terrorism Teams, and have agents from New York sent directly to Albany; surely a higher authority issued commands.

They were anxious to silence everything, severing all ties. So when Jimmy shot, getting statements or evidence didn't even cross his mind; his action logic differed from other agents and the Anti-Terrorism Team. Thus, they kept many alive; for Jimmy, anyone resisting was essentially doomed.

So, is this Winston and company's limit? Winston had told Jimmy there was another higher table above the Intercontinental Hotel managed by 12 families. Was this operation one family's doing, or was it their collective intention?

Jimmy had to consider this—being an FBI Senior Agent now, he'll soon face direct engagement with various forces once he climbs another step up. Will there be conflicts later on?

Some things are best not thought about in detail—overthinking leads to feeling like dangers lurk everywhere.

As Jimmy was lost in thought, Barney also came out of the house, holding a cigar like Jimmy's, but unlit, and he also carried two cans of beer.

"Catch." Barney handed a beer to Jimmy, and they opened and toasted, "Thanks, Jimmy, good thing you came."

Jimmy: "No need to be so polite, we should help each other."

Barney: "Mind if I ask a personal question—how many people did you take out?"

Jimmy: "Not really sure, maybe 8 or 9. I'll check later."

Barney: "No, not today. You know what I'm asking."

Jimmy: "Oh~ that's a secret. Hahaha."

Barney shrugged: "Alright, I won't ask. Lend me your lighter."

Barney lit his cigar and took a couple of puffs, "We might not head back to New York for a few days, needing to investigate and interrogate here; going back wouldn't be convenient. What about you? What's next?"

Jimmy: "My current task is to assist in investigating this case, so naturally, I'll stay with you."

Barney nodded: "Alright then, stay. I'll book a hotel in Albany later. We'll leave two men here on duty; the others can go back and rest before returning to investigate. I've contacted DC; they'll send another team over."

Jimmy: "No problem, if it doesn't work out, I can stay on duty and wait for you guys."

Barney: "No need, go back and rest; we can't waste our few people on such duties. The local police will cooperate, so with just two on duty here, that will suffice. Alright, I'll make arrangements, and we'll leave shortly."
