CHAPTER 100: CHAPTER 93: ANNIHILATION OF A CLAN (PARTS 1 AND 2 COMBINED)_3

Once the intruder was trapped, even a legendary gunslinger would face certain death.

Dean was grateful he had cooperated with Annan; otherwise, on his own, he might really have had to flee with his family. In his past life, he had never encountered a scene like this!

Listening to the approaching footsteps, Dean took a deep breath and silently counted to three. Then, without waiting for anyone to peek around the corner, he fired both guns, unleashing a spray of bullets that evenly covered the zone between 1.7 and 1.8 meters in height.

Four men on either side had just shown their faces, as if in perfect coordination, when they took bullets to the face and collapsed on the spot.

"Still in the D32 area, need backup!" someone roared.

Then, four or five semi-automatic rifles emerged, firing blindly down the corridor.

Damn it!

Dean’s expression changed. He leaped over a meter, kicking off the wall. Leveraging his powerful core strength, he clung to the corridor ceiling, evading the guards’ barrage of bullets while swinging to one side, rapidly closing the distance.

These guards were undoubtedly elite retired soldiers. Their coordination and teamwork far surpassed any SWAT members Dean had ever encountered.

Three seconds after the bullets swept the entire hallway, two men rolled out from the left, first firing in a crossfire pattern, then observing. One, his expression ugly, yelled into his radio, "No one’s here! The target disappeared! C32 area, be advised, he might have climbed up—"

Before he could finish, the radio erupted with fierce gunfire and screams.

Like the Grim Reaper, Dean leaped down behind the group of more than ten men on the right, guns blazing in both hands. In less than a second, he fired fifteen bullets, each striking their cervical spines.

Within fifty meters, unless they were fully armored, anyone Dean targeted was dead.

By the time the other guards rushed over, Dean had already shot out the camera in this section and disappeared once more into the outer corridor.

The internal surveillance could only cover the building’s interior. Annan had already taken care of the external surveillance. Thus, relying on his formidable physique, Dean moved along the building’s exterior, making him very difficult to spot.

After two waves of guard teams were wiped out, the entire Carmen Manor was lit up as if it were broad daylight.

Numerous cars sped up the mountain from its base. More than five teams, totaling sixty guards, abandoned their posts and converged on the areas where Dean was active.

Even with Dean’s swift reactions, his room to maneuver became increasingly restricted under such overwhelming firepower. But each time he fired, he took down at least a few men, creating immense psychological pressure on the guards.

They had never encountered such a tenacious and accurate marksman!

Head Guard Harlan listened to the casualty reports from his subordinates, his face grim and filled with apprehension. This terrifying individual must be the real Killer V.

He pressed the button on his device again. This was a special alert connecting directly to the heads of the Carmen family. In an emergency, regardless of the time, he had to notify them immediately.

But for some reason, there was no response from the top floor... If the surveillance hadn’t shown everything as normal, he would have suspected something had happened up there too.

Along the building’s exterior, Dean’s movements were confined to three corridors, turning his fight into a desperate struggle. As if by some unspoken agreement, the guards’ offensive, despite its apparent ferocity, slowed its pace in tightening the encirclement.

No one wanted to fall just moments before victory.

...

「No one noticed.」

The top of the manor was completely silent.

「Top-floor conference room.」

The assassin personality, Annan, moved like a dancer. Holding a palm-sized, bloodied kukri, he weaved and dodged past the bodies on the floor, approached a portly man cowering in the corner, and bowed.

This was to thank him for revealing the conference room’s exact location.

Snetter watched in horror as the masked assassin, who moved with a twisted ’elegance’, approached. He screamed for help, all his usual calm composure from his speeches gone.

The psychopath, ignoring their pleas and emergency calls, had proceeded to kill Snetter’s grandfather, father, brothers, and uncles right before his eyes. Regardless of their cries for help or the emergency buttons they pressed, no guards came. Instead, the gunfire from downstairs only intensified.

"Snetter?"

Having bowed, the assassin Annan brought his mask unnervingly close to Snetter’s face. An electronically altered voice emanated from it, "My brother Annan invites all members of the Carmen family to a dance. It’s time for you to be on your way."

"No!"

Snetter, his mind on the mayoral position almost within his grasp, let obsession conquer fear. Like a preying mantis, he gritted his teeth and lunged at Annan.

While Snetter was mid-air, Annan guided the small curved blade, using Snetter’s own momentum to draw it across him.

When Snetter’s body crashed heavily to the ground, blood spurted like a small fountain due to the pressure from his movement, staining the already damp floor an even deeper, viscous red.

He had killed everyone.

After listening to the gunfire below for a moment, the assassin Annan swayed to the electronic door of the conference room. He wiped his blade on a man and a woman standing motionless by the door, their mouths agape, then contentedly walked out.

Zooming in. From the gaping mouths of the male and female attendants, steel nails pierced through their throats and into their heads, pinning them dead against the wall.

...

「Elsewhere.」

Dean, nearly surrounded and on the verge of being overwhelmed, saw the light on his watch turn green. He immediately leaped down, and while still in mid-air, fired repeatedly at the trap he had set.

The trap was hit. Several entwined transparent lines snapped taut, yanking a release catch.

Upon landing, Dean ran towards his pre-selected escape route, no longer concealing his movements.

"Over here!"

Several searchlights, guided by thermal imaging, locked onto the fleeing Dean.

Just as he was about to be caught in their concentrated fire—

BOOM!

A blinding flash and a shockwave surged through several corridors, sending the converging guards sprawling.

When two helicopters searched the area above the sea, all they found of Dean were the steel nails embedded in the cliff face. He was gone.

When the extensive search yielded nothing, Head Guard Harlan, still unable to contact his superiors via pager, clenched his teeth. He summoned several senior butlers of the Carmen family, and together they took the elevator to the top floor.

Despite the significant commotion outside, the family heads hadn’t responded, which made Harlan and the butlers uneasy.

When the elevator doors opened, they saw two attendants standing rigidly outside the conference room, its password-protected electronic door securely closed. They collectively sighed in relief.

It should be alright.

"The meeting must be too important for them to inquire," the head housekeeper remarked somewhat scornfully. "Manager Harlan, you should focus on how you’re going to explain today’s events to them."

Head Guard Harlan nodded, about to follow, when his gaze suddenly caught something on the female attendant’s black and white uniform. He roared, "FUCK!"

Blood!

Something had happened!

The top-floor’s high-end electronic defense system had been breached!

He charged forward like a mad dog and was finally hit by the overwhelming stench of blood, so strong that even the sealed electronic door couldn’t contain it.

The Carmen family was finished...

The door remained closed. But in their hearts, all the staff already knew the truth...
