Occult: World of Yandere
Volume 1 – Altar
Daniel's gut twisted like a wet rag as he hunkered down in the overgrown weeds, they decide to hide, as they plan how they will get inside that place for Sam's drone.
Staring up at those damn brick walls that seemed to stretch more than ten meters to twelve into the gray morning sky.
The Augustus Estate loomed like some forgotten nightmare, the environment itself not making it easy to no pass it off as some haunted property, well it was, but still.
It was the massive oak trees inside the property with their twisted branches that really made this place creepy looking.
Alongside the mangroves patches within that sell the look.
But even then Daniel could feel the chill crawling up his spine, not just from the breeze, but from the way the whole place felt... Haunted, from a young age, he always had a good intuition, and that same intuition was telling him if they go inside, the might not come back out.
But he wasn't going to back out now, however Neil quickly switch up, moments ago he was assuring them he will cross it with them, but now he change his mind.

Neil muttered, his voice cracking a bit as he wiped sweat from his forehead despite the cool air.
His chubby fingers fidgeted with the strap of his backpack, eyes darting around like he expected a ghost to pop out any second.
"I ain't goin in there. This place, no this entire scenario feel straight out of one of those slasher movie where the kids never make it out."
Daniel swallowed hard, his mouth dry as sandpaper when he heard Neil speak.
He didn't blame Neil one bit.
The estate had always given him the creeps, even back when he and Marcy used to sneak around for kicks.
But Sam? He was a stubborn idiot, and knew he would be hell-bent on getting his drone back, and deep down, Daniel knew if they didn't go with him, he would charge in alone and end up as monster chow.
"I feel you, Neil. This place feel like it is cursed or something. But Sam is right you know, we gotta get that footage at all cost. If Ms. Rita's a Flux, she's probably out there right now waiting to drag some poor soul into her house."
Sam crouched low, his eyes locked on the wall, fingers gripping his phone so tight his knuckles went white.
The tracker blinked more and more, they where literally within reach.
"Look, I hate this too. My heart's pounding like a drum. But that drone is the only proof we got. Without it, we're just three kids with a wild story. No one is gonna believe us, and Ms. Rita? She'll just keep hiding in plain sight. It might now be use today, but it could be our family members tommarow."
Sam said bluntly.
Growing up with a father who ha spent years in the military, he naturally had lawful good disposition.
Daniel rubbed the back of his neck, glancing at the wall again. It rose up sheer and unforgiving, moss creeping into the cracks like veins on dead skin.
No spikes here, thank God, he think to himself, the wrought-iron barbs only ringed the main entrance way up front, where the fancy gate was located with the advance looking intercom.
"Do you know any way to get above this massive wall dude?"
Same asked Daniel, who nodded as he said.
"There is a hole in east wing of the property. But it's quite far away from here. There is also a chance Mr. Augustus already closing it off."
"Damnit, so it's either her or nowhere."
"Yeah."
Sam let out a heavy sigh, his breath fogging in the crisp air, but as he scanned the wall, his eyes lit up on the thick vines snaking up the brick walls.
They were gnarled and ancient, twisting into the mortar.
"Forget the hole. Look at these vines, they're climbing all over this section. We can use them like ropes, pull ourselves up and drop down the other side. Way quicker don't you think!?"
Neil's face twisted in doubt, his cheeks flushing red as he poked at one of the vines, half-expecting it to snap back like a snake.
"You got to be kidding me right. How are these flimsy looking things gonna hold my weight? I'm not exactly built like a spider monkey, Sam. One wrong tug, and I'll be flat on my ass, or worse, screaming in if I drop an hurt myself."
Sam tugged on a vine himself, testing it with a grunt. It held firm, creaking like old bones but not giving an inch.
"Nah, my dad told me stories, how they use vines like these on missions, they look weak, but they have been growing for years? They're tougher than they look, especially in neglected spots. Mr. Augustus clearly don't give a damn about this corner; it's all wild greenery dude... They'll hold, just trust me."
Daniel eyed the vines warily, imagining them wrapping around his ankles like tentacles from Ms. Rita's nightmare form. But what choice did they have?
"Fine. But Neil goes first. If they snap under your fat ass, we'll know to bail. And if you get stuck, we'll push you up...deal?"
Neil groaned, his stomach churning audibly, but he nodded, shuffling forward with all the enthusiasm he has.
"This better not kill me. If I die, I am coming back to haunt you two first, remember that."
Neil said as he grabbed a fistful of vine, the rough bark biting into his palms, and started hauling himself up. His sneakers skidded on the stone, his breath coming in ragged puffs, sweat beading on his forehead as the wall seemed to loom taller with every inch.
The vines groaned under him, leaves falling as he scales higher and higher, but thankfully the vines held. After what felt like forever, he swung a leg over the top, panting like he had run a marathon, perched there like a scared crow.
"See? Told ya."
Sam whispered, already starting his climb, moving quick and sure, the vines creaking like floorboards in a haunted house.
Daniel followed, his heart slamming against his ribs, his fingers numb from gripping so hard. But like Sam he quickly reached the top, crouching beside the lying Neil, the oak forest below a black tangle that swallowed the light of the sun, the many branches swaying like they were alive.
Then, cutting through the eerie quiet like a knife, came the low growl of a car engine, faint at first, but swelling, rumbling from the distance as it left the main gate.
Quickly they hide, but they watch a fancy Lamborghini Sian passed them, they don't know who was inside, but they could guess.
"Wow, that car look so awesome dude."
"Is that a Lamborghini?!"
Neil said with excited eyes, but Sam caught their attention.
"Guys less admiring more getting the drone and bailing from this place as quick as possible."
"Ohh yeah, we are coming."
Said Daniel.
"Come on dude, you can't say that car didn't look sick."
Neil followed behind him.
"I don't faun over the things I can't afford or have, let's go already, if Mr. Augustus is in that fancy ride, it means we have time before he comes back."
"Sigh, finnne...
With that both Daniel and Neil climb down the walls via the vines. Their feet landing on solid dirt, the light was limited here, as sun barley touch the ancient dirt below.
"Alright my phone is telling me it's north of here let's go."
With that they made their way deeper into Neir property.
Till eventually they where only 70 meters away from it according to the screen.
But as they thread deeper, their eyes suddenly caught something truly bizarre.
"Wow, what is that?!"
Neil asked in suprise.
"I don't know, it's looks like an Altar of some kind."
Sam said, as he look at the stone sphere, at the center, a large statue of a sexy looking goat monster stood at its center, old red candles where presented, half burnt but clearly not lit.
Ancient symbols carved in what they can only assume was blood of some kind where present.
"What language is this?"
Neil asked intrigued.
And sam responded.
"I don't know, not any I am familiar with at least."
