Nier loomed over the writhing mass of the skinwalker, its grotesque form pulsing with sickly blue veins, its tentacles twitching feebly in the dirt of the oak forest.

Stripped to its most vulnerable state, the creature tried to crawl away, dragging its amorphous bulk with a pitiful, squelching sound.

But before it could gain any ground, Nier looked at it with disgust as he raised his foot and slammed it down onto the squishy flux, while saying.

"The fuck do you think your going huh!? One doesn't walk free after causing this much property damage."

SQUASH!!...SLAM!!...

The impact shook the ground a little, producing a wet crunch as its flesh compressed itself, and slimy black ichor began oozing from the burst wounds all over it's body.

Alas though the skinwalker emitted a low, guttural whimper, too weak to fight back.

It was truly a sight to behold. Beating a Skin Walker isn't an easy feat.

Especially one that has had time to grow, and collect multiple skins, stocking up memories, abilities, influence, power, and experience.

And given how brutally wounded it was, this one was pretty strong, and without a doubt one of the slightly above average ones that where currently out there.

Meanwhile, they boys...Daniel, Neil, and Sam remained rooted at the same spot Nier left them.

Their eyes wide with a blend of terror and awe. Paralyzed by the battle's ferocity and Nier's relentless pursuit, they hadn't dared to move.

Their faint whispers barely carried over the rustling leaves, lost in the aftermath of the chaos.

Because even from where he was he could hear their voice and ragged breathing.

On the other hand, Nier's gaze returned to the fiend beneath him, his hand igniting with the black and purple flames of Black Scorch.

The air shimmered with heat, the flames eager to consume this thing whole, and reduce it to nothing...not even ashes, as the spell's unrelenting hunger would burn even those away. With his mind made up, he raised his hand, poised to eradicate the creature once and for all.

But just as he prepared to unleash hell upon it, the veins in his hand pulsed rapidly, twisting like living serpents. As a familiar pain shape and formed a message across his palm...it was Silence.

"It would be wiser to let the creature live."

Nier froze, his hand still raised, flames flickering. He glared at the message, his voice sharp with disbelief, as he responded back in kind.

"Why in the world would I spare a flux of all things?"

Nier asked puzzled, meanwhile Silence reply, now ready to sell it's case.

"This skinwalker has the potential to serve as a vessel. Its unique nature makes it ideal for crafting a strong body, one capable of allowing Kaly to possess it and manifest in the Material Sphere, though in a diminished form"

Nier shuddered at the mention of Kaly. This update is available on novel(ꜰ)ire.net

For the mere fact that she was a yandere, and an outer god at that, so he couldn't just kill her, like he usually does the rest.

Yet, he couldn't deny there was something unique about her. Unlike others, she was unaffected by the curse that twisted feminine minds, particularly those of women, into obsessive beings.

Her love, though unsettling, felt genuine, free from the mind-warping influence of his curse like she said. So with a resigned sigh, he accepted his fate as her "husband," for better or worse.

Still, sparing the skinwalker felt wrong.

"Isn't there a way to trap this thing properly?"

He asked, his tone cautious.

"Leaving it unattended is too dangerous, as It is too cunning, too dangerous to just let it live...After all this thing saw my face, without a doubt if it gets stronger it would kill me."

Nier argued.

And Silence responded swiftly.

"Skinwalkers derive their knowledge and memories from the skins they steal. By destroying all its forms, you've stripped away its accumulated identities, reducing it to its primal state. It now has the intelligence of a wild beast, driven solely by instinct. It knows you can kill it effortlessly, which is why it is so submissive. It is terrified of you, a defenseless animal would to another bigger one."

Nier's eyes widened in surprise.

He knew destroying a skinwalker's skins was the key to defeating it, but he hadn't realized it skin death also erased its intellect.

As the creature before him, once a cunning predator, was now a quivering animal, its glowing veins pulsing with raw fear. Still, he remained skeptical.

"Even if it is mindless now, I don't want to risk it turning on me the moment it gets a new skin and regains its wits, especially if I am feeding it a human to build a body for Kaly."

He paused, then added.

"For that reason I must asked. How much would a control spell cost to ensure it doesn't betray me?"

Silence was well Silence for the most, until a minute or two later when it finally responded.

"A spell capable of ensuring absolute control will cost 6000 Negativity Points to acquire."

Nier sighed heavily. It was a steep price, but he couldn't afford to take chances with a creature as volatile as a skinwalker.

"Fine...Tell me about this spell."

"The spell is called Collective Existence."

Silence explained.

"It costs 500 Negativity Points per casting. If created it would allow the user to create a Mental Plane, or rather a non-physical library with infinite capacity to hold information, its shelves empty and ready to store data when added. When cast on a target, it marks them as a doorway to this library, granting you free access to their mindscape. Within this plane, their memories and experiences manifest as books. If your will is stronger than the target's own will, then it goes without saying you can open and edit these books, altering their memories and reality as you deem fit. For instance, if you rewrite a book to state the target is a lesbian despite being straight beforehand, that becomes their perceived reality. The changes are permanent unless undone by another casting to edit once more. It basically full memory changing, that can make or break a person who falls under its full effects."

Upon hearing this, Nier's lips curled into a grim smile as he considered the spell's potential.

Absolute control over the skinwalker's mind, memories, and sense of self, it was precisely what he needed to keep it a docile tool for Kal's vessel.

Knowing this, he glanced down at the writhing mass, its chattering teeth and twitching tentacles betraying its primal fear.

"Alright."

He said.

"Create it."

"As you wish Master."

Silence replied back.

With those words said, shortly after, veins in his hand pulsed again, glowing as they formed the message.

"Creation successful!!"
