Omega Ascension System[BL]
Chapter 63: _Heat Suppression Pill
CHAPTER 63: _HEAT SUPPRESSION PILL
Elian’s POV
*****
"Alpha class wolf?" Elian repeated the report the system gave him, his face scrunching up.
And not because of the numbing heat coiling behind his stomach or the fact his body was drenched in enough sweat to fill a bath tub.
Or that his dick kept rising and falling like it was being controlled by some invisible remote... For fuck’s sake, who knew an Omega’s heat could be so jarring?
[Yeah, Alpha class. You know... Beyond the soldier class and within the realm of a wolf sovereign. Werewolf power systems on your planet aren’t really complicated.]
Elian smiled with sarcasm. "I never got to learn about werewolf power systems. Most of my life the only thing I knew was to bow to the nobles and wealthy and hide my face long enough in hopes of not catching anyone’s attention."
[Which wasn’t so hard with your unremarkable appearance.]
Elian let out a sigh, clenching his jaw as he slipped into his underwear while sitting on the edge of the bed. His ass was still hot after the steamy session with Lucian.
Gosh, he still couldn’t believe that royal jerk abandoned him in his room during his heat.
[What did you expect him to do? Ignore his duties and stay and cuddle?]
Elian breathed out. "I don’t see the point of interacting with him at all. Since I was reborn he’s seemed... Different. Like there’s hope of him changing."
[As much as I find your kink for toxic men interesting... You do realise you aren’t entitled to changing anything with the Alpha Prince, right?]
"Which brings me back to the question..." Elian’s tone was tense, his chest heavy with a plethora of feelings he didn’t want to skim through. "... What’s the point of being mated to Lucian in this life? I have two other mates after all."
There was a short silence, causing Elian to glance back and notice the open window through which he suspected the person who had broken into his room had entered.
What if this Alpha class wolf was still out there, lurking because he hadn’t found what he was searching for? And worst of all... what if he was searching for HIM?
[We’ll unravel your emotional constipation some other time. Right now, we need to focus on two things. First, surviving your heat cycle without attracting attention from dominant wolves who might not be able to keep it in their pants...]
A cold shiver ran down his spine when he thought about what that could look like.
Not every male wolf out there had the restraint beta Axel or even Lucian had. And with how his life has seemed to be in danger since he got here...
[Second thing to focus on is your mission to prove Estella is behind the assassins sent to you. And you can’t do that locked in here, so...]
Suddenly, a blue translucent screen flickered to life in front of his face, causing his eyebrows to furrow into a frown.
A blank screen interface showed with only one icon at its centre.
The Ascension shop.
Elian hesitantly clicked on it, wondering what the system was up to.
When he did, one of the first items he saw caused his eyes to widen slightly.
"Heat suppression pill..." Elian whispered, nearly holding his breath. "How—"
[If you’re about to ask how I have it, don’t bother. I told you... I have items in the shop from all across the universe.]
Elian’s eyes lit up.
Heat suppression pills helped alleviate the symptoms of an Omega’s heat while also suppressing the irresistible pheromones they emit during it.
They were available within the empire... For ten golden tickets.
Which news flash: Was a lot for someone like him who was a mere Palace servant yesterday.
He only had two moon tickets to his name... And it takes ten moon tickets to make one golden ticket.
[Anyway, you have sixty-five Ascension points. And a suppression pill costs only...]
Elian smiled when he saw the price.
Five Ascension points.
That... Wasn’t outrageous.
[But it makes you five Ascension points short of reaching your goal of buying a mana core. Which, if we’re being honest, seems like your obsession to fulfil some wild fantasy.]
Elian straightened his sitting position on the bed, stretching his limbs. "Or, my obsession to rise above an omega like the moon goddess said after giving you to me. A goal I wouldn’t be able to make if I don’t survive my heat cycle."
He clicked on the purchase button beside the projection of the pill and watched it load for only two seconds.
Then...
[DING! Congratulations, the host bought his first item from the Ascension Shop: One heat suppression pill. As a reward, the host will get a fifty per cent discount on future items.]
Elian’s mouth curled into a grin. "Wait, really?"
[Of course not, fruitcake. Don’t be delulu. Now, do you want to see the pill?]
Elian cursed under his breath but responded with a nod to the system.
Suddenly, a blue pill appeared on his right palm, glossy and seeming like it could be candy.
But Elian knew better.
"A heat suppression pill." He let out a breath, slowly getting to his feet. "You said my current heat cycle will last for another three days. How long will the effects of this pill last?"
[Two.]
The system’s response was plain and quick but it got the message across.
"Ugh, just one day short." He muttered, squinting his eyes as he tried ignoring the way his knees wobbled, his gaze narrowing on his room door. "Maybe I should save it till tomorrow. That should help."
Before Elian could tuck the pill away, a firm knock rattled his door, causing him to freeze.
[Incoming: Beta with a side of potential judgment.]
The door creaked open and Axel stepped inside without waiting for permission, his golden eyes scanning the room like a hawk. His gaze lingered on the open window, then drifted to Elian’s still‑flushed face.
"Elian," Axel said slowly. "... We need to talk. Now."
[Congratulations, fruitcake! Your heat just got a surprise audience.]
