CHAPTER 524: EQUILIBRIUM OF ELEMENTS.

Hao Ren and Han Lingshi were moving through the small world at a great speed. They were using their yin and yang eyes to scan the surroundings to find the balanced area.

They were quick and after a couple of hours, they did find the area they had been looking for, Han Lingshi opened her eyes wide and said, "So this is what the balance of yin and yang looks like."

They were standing in front of a small valley that was filled with lush green grass, and the fauna was flourishing beautifully. Hao Ren smiled and said, "Look at the small pond."

Han Lingshi turned to look at the side and found a small pond right next to a small hill. On the side of the hill a cavern was carved. Hao Ren could see the curved knife stabbed into the ground. He smiled and said, "This place is the most peaceful we have found in the past two hours. I am not sure if we can find some place similar to this anywhere around the small world."

Han Lingshi looked around and said, "Fine, let me try to bring that thing out of hiding. Cover your aura."

They were standing at the edge of the valley and had yet to move closer. The reason they had stopped to inspect this place was because of the golden radiance they saw with their Yin and Yang eyes. After covering their auras the two of them entered the area and Han Lingshi took out two crystals. She handed one of them to Hao Ren and used sign language to tell him to watch her.

Han Lingshi held the crystal in her palm and channeled her Nether Flames inside the crystal. She then gestured for Hao Ren to do the same. The crystal was a device made by Xiao Mei, it could help them store their really high level flames and gradually release it back into the void by dispersing it to the purest form of element.

Hao Ren was surprised, he inspected the crystal with the eyes of insight and he nodded. This was a really well thought device. It could be used as a trap. However, sensing the wife glare from the side, he decided to focus back on the task and channeled his nirvana flames inside the crystal.

The amount of flames stored inside the crystal was staggeringly high. Hao Ren was taken aback once more when he saw this. After fifteen minutes, the crystal was completely charged. Han Lingshi beckoned him to give the crystal over to her. The young man handed her the crystal, Han Lingshi flung the two crystals in the middle of the pond and the cave.

Then Han Lingshi gestured for them to move away. Hao Ren looked at her in askance, and Han Lingshi gestured him to crouch down. He understood that they were on a stakeout. He noticed that the two crystals were dispensing the Yin and Yang energies into the void.

He wanted to know what it would do, but what happened next left him shocked. As he observed the surroundings with Yin and Yang eyes, he noticed that the energy from the two crystals was gathering in the form of a vortex over a small rock in front of the cavern.

Hao Ren looked at his wife, who smiled and made a few seals with her hands. After a few moments, Hao Ren watched a weird creature appear on the rock’s surface. The insect looked like a cockroach, but it was of gray color. Hao Ren was curious about how this flower controlled the bug as a puppet, and used the eyes of insight. What he saw, shocked him to the bottom of his heart.

The roots of the flower seemed to have replaced the nerves of the bug. How could such a nasty thing be the ingredient that could ease up the chance to conceive a baby? Hao Ren wanted to deny that, but then he kept understanding the information he received from the Eyes of Insight.

He realized that this flower grew after consuming the yin and the yang energy of the world. Thus it would act as a catalyst that would set up the body into perfect balance. That way the body would be in perfect condition to conceive a child. It was recommended to consume the flower right before with the intercourse to achieve optimal results.

Hao Ren watched the young lady beside him, who was gazing at the bug on the rock without even blinking her eyes. He smiled, and then turned his attention back to the bug. It was constantly consuming the elemental energy like it was a buffet. Then Hao Ren noticed that the energy consumed by the bug was being transferred out of its body through the back.

He raised his brow and Han Lingshi raised her hands to make a few seals. Hao Ren could tell that she was preparing to trap the bug inside a spiritual cage, but at the moment, she had stopped herself from making the last seal to activate the formation. He understood that she probably wanted to see the flower growing from its back before initiating the formation.

They waited for a few minutes, and sure enough patience paid off, on the back of the bug a thin stem of gold emerged and began to grow taller. After the stem reached the length of nine meters a nine inch big lotus manifested on top of it. At this moment, Han Lingshi made the last seal and the space around the flower was sealed.

She looked at Hao Ren and said, "Cut it off from the back of the bug, we don’t need the roots, and as long as the roots are fine, it would grow back."

Hao Ren nodded and waved his finger to cast a small but precise and sharp sword cut. The attack was upon the flower before it could even sense anything. The slash hit the golden stem, and the lotus was thrown off the back of the bug. Han Lingshi moved, she disappeared from her position and appeared in the void near the falling lotus. Then she waved her hand to catch the falling lotus and stored it inside the jade box before flickering away.

Hao Ren wanted to ask why she was so cautious, but he saw that the bug on the rock was turning around all over the place as if searching for someone who took the flower.

Han Lingshi said, "Don’t think those roots would let you go easily. If you come in contact with them. The roots would enter your body and take over your nervous system. This thing is dreaded like nothing else."

The young man took a deep breath and said, "Damn, Lingshi, this world is dangerous. Come, let’s head back home and make babies."

Han Lingshi smacked him on the shoulder and said, "Hooligan!"

Then she pointed at the knife stabbed in the ground and said, "Look, that knife is a treasure. Don’t you want to take it away?"

Hao Ren looked at the knife and said, "Well, it is not a treasure that I would pay mind to, but I am sure that it belonged to the Gurkha Ancestor who created this realm so maybe if we take it back, Kuman and his clan would reap some benefits. Consider this as a repayment for the chance to come inside the small world."

Han Lingshi nodded with a smile. This was what she liked about Hao Ren, he would always give back to the people who gave him. Hao Ren looked at the side and found that the bug has ran off into hiding once again so the coast was clear. The young man walked over to the entrance of the cave and bowed towards the inside and said, "I apologize for disturbing your rest. I promise to hand this knife over to your descendants."

The knife vibrated slightly before the sheen on it vanished. Hao Ren bend down to carefully take the knife out of the mud and then placed it inside his space ring and bowed again to pay his respects to the lingering spiritual consciousness of the expert who passed away here at the end of his life.

...

Hao Ren and Han Lingshi explored the realm even more but they didn’t find anything worth while apart from some rare herbs that were promptly collected into the space ring. After a few hours, Han Lingshi said, "How about we return? I am not seeing a point in staying here anymore."

Hao Ren nodded and then he took out his jade slip. Han Lingshi did the same and the two of them crushed the plates and vanished from the spot. They didn’t care if they were to rank last. They had taken the best treasure in this place and also the herb that they wanted. So, now they should retreat after all, they saw this place more of a mausoleum than a trial ground.
