Omnipotent Husband System
Chapter 527: Heavenly Hammer City.
CHAPTER 527: HEAVENLY HAMMER CITY.
Hao Ren left the Crescent Moon Empire and came back to the house in the Cauldron Valley. The young man took a deep breath as he looked around and found that even his maid has left. Ye Yue had relieved her of her duties. Hao Ren new that he had to go outside to the Heavenly Hammer City, but to do that, he needed to find out some more information about the place.
Earlier in the Iron Mountain City he had found out that the leader of the Heavenly Hammer City was a heaven level expert. This caused Hao Ren to be wary of the person, because he knew he could not face such a high level expert without using some of his special cards.
So, he first wanted to consolidate his saint halo even further. Hao Ren came to the pavilion and sat down on the ground before closing his eyes. Then he began to recall the things that happened in the Iron Star Islands. He began to think upon the things he learned during the time he crafted the high level puppet for the Council.
Following that he began to meditate about the fabric. The more he thought about it, the more he understood how someone could engrave such runes on the fabric. The thread used to make the whole garment was inlaid with a very fine metallic thread. This thread was something revolutionary and gave him a lot of ideas.
Hao Ren spent two weeks to condense everything before he smiled and opened his eyes. Hao Ren sighed and replied, "This final bottleneck. So, fucking annoying."
*You thought it would come easy? So, now what do you want to do? Would you be going to the Heavenly Hammer City or not?*
Hao Ren scratched his chin and said, "I will go there but will not rush to comprehend the will hidden inside the artifact left behind. I will first go and learn a few techniques they have to teach. Shall I just join in as a talented rookie?"
*Undercover, sounds nice. Change your name.*
Hao Ren smiled and nodded, "Hmmm, what should be a good name?"
*How would I know? I am not your father.*
The young man took a deep breath and controlled his rage before he said, "Let’s think about that on the gates of the city."
That said, he opened a portal and headed to the north of the Spirit Siphon Continent. He went as far as the Kuman Tribe, but he didn’t go up to interact with them, instead he took to the skies and began to fly towards the depth of the northern landmass.
This place was very cold, and only grew colder as he proceeded further deep. Usually, he would be questioning how could their be someone refining artifacts here, because eons ago someone found a flame burning in the depths of the cold land. This flame was so strong that none of the experts till date could tame it, even Tang Sen when he tried was injured.
This flame provided heat to the laylines that were carved by the council and supported the artifact refining business in the Heavenly Hammer City. This whole thing made the city gain fame and also a lot of clout where refining experts would come to learn and improve their skills.
However, Hao Ren was uninterested in the flames, his major concern was just the Heavenly Soldier realm person. He went around the city and found a book store. He didn’t go to the refiner’s council because he was cautious. If someone from the council informed the person about his investigation, it could set a bad precedent.
Hao Ren had experienced in the past how ill-conveyed words could cause storms even when the winds are calm. He entered the book store and found himself a book which was called, "Prominent Figures Of The Year."
Hao Ren was confident that he would find a mention about the heavenly realm refiner in this book, and sure enough when he read about the refiners, he did find the description with a black and white sketch of the person on the side. He read the information and then smiled before he paid for the book and left the store.
The person was indeed a heavenly realm expert, but he has been submerged in life and death cultivation for the past ten years. Although, this news did give him some peace of mind, it didn’t make him comfortable. The smile from before was a sign of his interest.
The person was called Grandmaster Himsa, and he had been the head of the Refiner Council from the era when Tang Sen had just reached the peak. This man was ancient and had been stuck in the Heavenly realm for the past two hundred years. At least that’s what the book said, Hao Ren thought to himself, "This man is either hiding his cultivation base very deeply or he is at the end of his lifespan. I am not sure what’s gonna happen but risk and reward work together."
The system said, *If you are done, can we get going already?*
Hao Ren walked towards the city and asked, ’Why are you so worried?’
*Because if you fail to finish the task within nine months, I will have to kill you, which would be a waste of my efforts.*
Hao Ren frowned and asked, "Aren’t you taking things to a bit more extreme point by issuing a death threat?"
*No, it’s not me, but the author. Probably, he is sick of your stupid face.*
Hao Ren clenched his fists in frustration and kept walking. He picked up the pace, but he was still walking. The system asked, *Why are you walking?*
Hao Ren replied, "Just exploring the surroundings."
*Fine, what do I care for, I am not the one on clock.*
The young man sighed and took flight at the fastest speed possible. He reached the gates, and landed in front of them. The guards were all staring at him. This city despite being one of the biggest artifact refining hub and trading center didn’t have many visitors. So, when the guards someone coming over, they scrutinized the person and one of them asked, "Who are you? State your purpose."
Hao Ren smiled faintly and replied, "Hello, I am Ling Shihao. I have come over to study artifact refining from the experts in the city."
The guards frowned and Hao Ren took out a master level badge from his space ring and said, "This is my identification badge."
He had used the system store to produce a duplicate identification badge to hide his grandmaster status and details. The guards nodded and said, "There is no guarantee that you would be learning anything as soon as you get inside the place, but give it the best shot, someone would accept you."
Hao Ren thanked them with a smile and walked inside the city, and the atmosphere he found was completely different from the outside. Within the city walls the place was blooming like spring. There wasn’t a single speck of snow in sight, and Hao Ren found that it was not because of any array, but because of the heat radiating from various spots in the city.
There was something in the books about this city, that he read, it was said that the city would always be echoing with the clangs of hammers and the heat of the refining rooms. An old man sitting beside the city gate asked, "Are you surprised by the warmth?"
Hao Ren turned around and nodded with a plain face. The old man asked, "Here to study or to buy?"
The young man replied calmly, "To learn elder. However, I am clueless where to go."
The old man chuckled and said, "Good, you can head to the council, there are often notices posted there when Grandmasters or Masters seek for apprentices and helpers."
Hao Ren thanked the old man and wanted to turn around and leave but he asked, "Elder, who are you?"
The old man smiled and replied, "Just an old man posted here to guide youngsters like you to the right path. In this city, there are man people who place their own interests above the path of refining."
Hao Ren smiled and thanked the old man before he left the place heading to the council directly. His speed was quick, and after a few minutes, when he found the building and found that it was shaped like an ordinary hall, however, nothing about this building was ordinary. He inspected the place before climbing the stairs and went inside. He directly went to the reception and walked up to the lady sitting behind the counter, as he asked, "Hello big sister, where can I find the notices for employs required?"
The middle-aged looked at him with a smile and said, "There, on the left wall."
Hao Ren walked up to the wall, and found a few notices where the requirement for an assistant was posted. The name of the person was Grandmaster Flame Hammer. The young man raised his brows, and tore the notice off the notice wall, and brought it to the lady on the counter and asked, "Big Sister, how do I go about this?"
