“What do you mean?” Lucas asked, puzzled.

“Take a good look at yourself in the mirror. You’re being narcissistici,/ii” /iOlivia said, sizing him up and down with a click of her tongue. “I like good–looking people. You, on the other hand, are hard to describe.”
What Olivia meant was that Simon was unattractive and didn’t meet her standards.
Lucas was the first to burst into derisiveughter.
Setting aside other aspects, Simon’s appearance was far from appealing.
Simon took after his father, with an average and somewhat plump look, making him quite ordinary.
Yet Simon was extremely confident, with a particr fondness for beautiful women.
People in the hall began to turn against him one after another.
“You’re right. Mr. Evans does look quite ordinary,” someonemented.
“He’s just trying to bring her down because he can’t have her,” another added.
“Simon is just like his father, a yboy. Clearly, he couldn’t get this pretty girl, and now he wants to embarrass her,” someone else chimed in.
Compared to Olivia, they liked Simon even less.
Simon was instantly embarrassed, his facial expression freezing, and he looked at Olivia in disbelief. “What are you saying?”
Everyone else had told him he had the makings of a movie star, but Olivia actually said he was ugly.
“She said you’re ugly,” Lucas taunted, exining for Olivia. “Not only are you ugly, but you’re also narcissistic. The Evans family is really beyond help.”
“Lucas, you-” Simon was so angry that he trembled all over and couldn’t speak.
Henry’s face changed dramatically.
Cheryl also frowned,
‘What’s going on? At this moment, Simon should be the one being praised, and Olivia should

be the one too humiliated to speak. Why has it turned around? This isn’t right,’ she wondered.
Olivia continued to stoke the fire. “Mr. Evans, I still remember how you used to wait at our ssroom door every day, begging me to give you a second nce.”
“You were like chewing gum that I just couldn’t get rid of,” Olivia said with a look of disgust. “It was extremely annoying.”
Then, Olivia nced at Cheryl. “As for the DNA switch, you know the truth.”
Cheryl swallowed hard, her face pale.
‘Olivia wouldn’t really say it, would she? No way, no one would believe her. She has no evidence, Cheryl wondered.
So Cheryl, with her eyes slightly red, looked at Olivia with an air of grievance. “Olivia, you’ve misunderstood me. It’s not what you think-”
Seeing Olivia about to shift the me to Cheryl, Simon immediately stepped in front of Cheryl, as if to protect his girlfriend.
“Take it out on me, not Cheryl,” Simon said, looking down at Olivia. “It was you who harmed Cheryl. The truth? Don’t pretend.”
Cheryl was genuinely afraid that Simon would cause trouble, so she quickly stepped forward, grabbed Simon, and pretended to be magnanimous. “Forget it, Simon. Olivia’s had a tough time. It’s okay if I suffer. Let’s go.”
With that, Cheryl dragged Simon away.
Mitchell rolled his eyes. “Simon must be blind. Can’t he see she’s acting?”
“People in love aren’t rational,” Lucas shrugged, turning to look at Olivia. “Olivia, you really have mellowed out. You let someone like him off the hook?”
“Just a pre–apocalyptic party,” Olivia said with a half–smile.
Thinking of what was about to happen, Lucas quietly gave Olivia a thumbs–up. ‘Olivia is really something, he wondered.
Mitchell, not understanding, asked in confusion, “Lucas, why do you respect Olivia so much?”
“Mind your own business,” Lucas replied, flicking him on the forehead.
Seeing his grandson’s reputation tarnished in public, Henry couldn’t bear it any longer and stepped forward to defend him. “Simon is the only grandchild and future heir of the Evans family. I don’t know what gives you the right to look down on him.

“The Evans family is prominent in Hirica and won’t tolerate such contempt. Or is it that with the Grant family backing you, you think you can do whatever you want?”
Henry’s words were quite skillful.
In one fell swoop, he brought the Grant family into the spotlight, hinting to everyone to take
sides.
Those guests who were not as prominent as the Evans family dared not whisper anymore. Henry was clearly establishing his authority, and they couldn’t afford to offend him.
The pretty young girl was in for a tough time.
Olivia casually rubbed her temples, looking indifferent.
Mitchell sensed the tension in the air and looked at Olivia, who had offended the Evans family. “Olivia, aren’t you scared?”
“What’s there to be afraid of with a bunch of clowns?” Lucas spoke up for her before Olivia could say anything.
Today, they would witness Olivia’s tactics.
Olivia gave
Lucas an approving look; he was finally showing some progress.
The drama in the hall hadn’t ended yet when a heartyugh came from the second floor.
“Apologies for the wait, everyone. I extend my apologies on behalf of the Shea family.” Vivian, dressed in a dark red gown, walked to the center, exuding confidence and elegance.
She picked up the microphone. “Wee to the Shea family party. Your presence is an honor for us.”
“Who’s she?” Olivia raised an eyebrow.
Lucas patiently exined, “She’s Vivian Shea, the daughter of the first branch of the Shea family. Her parents passed away, and she waster adopted by Andrew’s father and grew up with Andrew. Though they’re not blood siblings, they have a great rtionship.”
“Don’t underestimate her. She’s the number one criminal profiler in Clusia and has solved many major criminal cases. Back when Andrew was still growing into his role, the Shea Group was managed solely by her.”
Lucas added, shuddering involuntarily as he looked at her, “Moreover, her methods for interrogating criminals are unparalleled–let’s just say, she hits really hard.”
Olivia nodded and continued to observe Vivian.

Vivian had clear eyes that hid a ruthless nature. Her brows conveyed a sense of valor, her lips were a deep red, and she was both beautiful and dangerous.
She stood there like a blooming poppy, instilling fear yet irresistible in her charm.
Despite the dangerous aura around her, her upbringing and manners were impable, not at all inferior to those of ady from a noble family.
Olivia was very intrigued by Vivian. ‘If I could bring her under my control and use her to my advantage-‘ she thought.
Vivian continued, “To thank you all, we have prepared some small gifts for you. Hope you will like them.”
As soon as she finished speaking, waiters came forward one by one, each carrying a gift box, one for each guest.
The gift box contained a crystal pot and a unicorn carved out of ruby.
The Shea family was indeed generous with their gifts.
Henry, being a shrewd individual, didn’t touch the box. Instead, he smiled at Vivian and said, “Ms. Shea, you’re too kind. We’re all here for the Shea family, not for these gifts. Thank you very much.”
None of the guests dared to touch the box, echoing Henry’s words.
“Yeah, Henry’s right.”
“Ms. Shea, thank you.”
“No one dares ito /itake it-”
Vivian looked around and saw that no one dared to touch the box, and she frowned slightly.
