Olivia grabbed Andrew’s right hand and pulled him forward. “What’s wrong with your hand?” Andrew, observant as always, noticed something odd about Olivia’s hand. He held it, his brows furrowing slightly. “Did you get it from the fight just now?”
Olivia grabbed Andrew’s right hand and pulled him forward. “What’s wrong with your hand?” Andrew, observant as always, noticed something odd about Olivia’s hand. He held it, his brows furrowing slightly. “Did you get it from the fight just now?”
Olivia’s fingers were somewhat purple, with tiny spots covering all ten of them, and there was some swelling.
“Mr. Shea, you really are a wealthy man,” Olivia said with a t expression, her eyes narrowing slightly. “These are chilins, something you rich folks wouldn’t know about.”
Winter was a cold season for ordinary people. Moreover, it was the season when social sses were the most distinct. fn9d6c ???? ????s? ???????s ?? F?ndNovel/fn9d6c
“For the rich, winter is about dignity and warmth,” Olivia spoke calmly, her presence reserved yet powerful. “But for ordinary people, it’s about the cold. So getting chilins is nothing to be surprised about.”
Andrew’s eyes flickered. “When did you get them? Can’t they be cured?”
He was puzzled because Olivia, being a doctor herself, should be able to treat them.
“When I was young, I went through a tough time,” Olivia said lightly. “Cold winds and severe cold freeze the skin and cause sores due to stagnant blood and energy. They can be treated, but it requires keeping warm, and it’s a bit numbing-”
Her words were cut short.
Andrew suddenly took her hand, bent down, and breathed warm air onto it, his movements gentle. He was warming Olivia’s hand.
The warm breath sprayed on Olivia’s fingers, creating a tingling sensation that was slightly ufortable for her.
But she didn’t seem to dislike his closeness.
“What are you doing-” Olivia, who didn’t like being too close to others, instinctively tried to pull her hand
away.
Andrew, however, held her hand tighter, not allowing her to move.
His eyes were filled with a soft glow, his gaze tender, focused entirely on Olivia, and a smile tugged at the corners of his mouth.
“I have to leave for a few days,” Andrew said, lowering his eyes and gently rubbing Olivia’s hand. “I’ve already informed the Summers family. They’ll bring that man over in a while.”
Olivia then remembered that she had forgotten to mention to Samuel about the arraignment of Donald
today.

He seemed to read Olivia’s thoughts, his breath shallow. “Mr. Summers likes you a lot. He agreed.”
“Okay.” Olivia felt a slight itch in her fingers, pulled her hand out, feeling a bit flushed, and pretended nothing had happened. “How many days are you going?”
“Three days.” He imperceptibly curled his lips, his eyes softening. “Are you worried about me?”
“I’m worried you’ll die out there,” Olivia clenched her fingers, slightly tilting her head. “In your current condition, without medication within ten days, you’ll start to deteriorate. All my previous efforts would be in vain.”
Andrew watched Olivia pull her hand away, his smile fading. “You don’t like it when I warm your hand?”
“You’re lucky.” Olivia turned and walked toward home. “If it were anyone else, they’d have been kicked into the sea by now.”
Andrew looked around, frowning. “Is the security here at night this bad?”
“It’s usually quite good,” Olivia wrapped her down jacket tighter, nonchntly. “Tonight is an exception.”
“Should I leave Ethan with you?” Andrew asked for Olivia’s opinion.
Ethan, hiding in the shadows, shivered. ‘Mr. Shea, I’m just an employee,‘ he thought to himself.
“What would I want with a good–for–nothing?” Olivia rejected without a second thought. Ethan seemed useless; Sean was more reliable.
Ethan was stunned, thinking, ‘I’m a good–for–nothing?‘
