“You can choose whoever you like.” Andrew handed Olivia a roster of bodyguards.
Olivia pushed it away, her expression indifferent. “I prefer to work alone.
Besides, those thugs wouldn’t be able to do anything to her.
Andrew didn’t press further. He knew she was still wary of him. ‘If she really liked working alone, she wouldn’t keep Sean around,‘ he thought to himself.
“Well, alright,” Andrew sighed dramatically, feigning hurt. “It’s just that my men are useless and don’t meet your standards, Ms. Summers.”
“Not exactly-” Olivia couldn’t stand seeing people act wronged in front of her, and her heart softened a bit. “You paid me, so you’re my patient. We’re just doctor and patient. I don’t need your help.”
Her words were gentle, but the meaning was clear.
They were just doctor and patient, and Andrew shouldn’t cross the line.
Andrew became cold all over.
He was very quiet and cool, walking alone in the shadows.
As he walked, he suddenly stopped, turned his head, and walked back to Olivia. His usually calm voice had a slight change.
“I thought we were friends,” he said slowly, enunciating each word clearly, his tone drawn out a bit, as if he was afraid of something.
“Of course, we are friends,” Olivia said softly, looking up at Andrew. “If we weren’t friends, why would I agree to treat you?”
Andrew saw how sincere she looked, and the corners of his mouth curled up involuntarily. He knew she was telling the truth.
“Alright,” his voice was deep, gentle, and a bit maic, quite pleasant to the ear as he said.
Olivia really liked his appearance, and with such a nice voice, he was indeed quite charming.
Unfortunately, he already had a fiancée.
Olivia had no interest in men who were engaged.
“Are you not going to prescribe me some medicine today?” Andrew’s voice was a bit hoarse, and he couldn’t help but cough a few times.
“You’ve been in the cold wind for so long; your throat must be suffering,” Olivia said as she opened the door and set up a small pot in the courtyard.

After the water boiled, she added some medicine and pears.
Amidst the rising steam, Andrew’s gaze was fixed on Olivia and didn’t waver.
Olivia brought him a cup of pear soup and went back into the house to get some more herbs.

“During your time away, soak some of these every day, and by the time youe back, we can proceed with the next step of the treatment,” she said, assembling the herbs and not forgetting to settle the bill with Andrewb. /b
“I won’t charge you for the pear soup, but these herbs count as one treatment. You should avoid seafood, cold foods, and staying upte,” she added.
“Okay,” Andrew replied, his tone indifferent despite the depth in his eyes.
After finishing everything, Olivia stretched and waved her hand to signal that Andrew could leave.
Andrew took a few steps, then suddenly turned his head at the door, his eyes bright. “I’ll follow your orders, Dr. Summers.”
“When Ie back, let’s have a meal together,” Andrew said, giving Olivia no time to react before he disappeared.
Olivia flicked her hair back and poured out the remaining pear soup. She thought to herself, ‘I don’t think I agreed to that, did I? Where did this sweet atmospheree from?‘ fn7890 ?? ??? ???? ?? ???? ???? ???????s, ????s? ??s?? fι?dnοvel/fn7890
The tingling sensation in her hand seemed to linger, refusing to fade away.
Inside the house, Grace was baking tarts for Sean and Nina.
Sean, enduring the heat, clutched the piping hot tart and took big bites, steam constantly rising.
Grace looked at him affectionately. “Eat slowly, don’t burn yourself.”
Olivia brought over the pear soup she had just made, and the group shared it.
Nina took Olivia’s down jacket, carefully folded it, and put it away, showing her thoughtfulness.
