The exam started momentster. Troy and Hallie patrolled the aisles like wardens, while Curtis monitored a bank of screens in the security office. With that much surveince, cheating wasn’t just risky. It was impossible.
The first section of the exam was Englorian. As Hallie dropped the test booklet on Olivia’s desk, she scoffed. “I wrote this section myself.
“Don’t feel bad when you can’t answer a single question. Just turn in your nk sheet and save us all some time.”
“Ms. Brown,” Troy said, his voice sharp and low. “This is a timed exam. Do not distract the students.”
Hallie walked away awkwardly.
“Pace yourself,” Troy murmured as he passed Olivia’s seat. “Read everything carefully. There’s no rush.” fndf2e For original chapters go to find?novel/fndf2e
Olivia gave a slight nod, but the pen in her hand was a blur, flying across the answer sheet.
A cruel, knowing smirk spread across Hallie’s face as she watched from the front of the room. ‘Look at her go, she thought with satisfaction. ‘Pure panic. She’s not even reading the questions, just filling in bubbles at random.‘
Troy’s stomach twisted into knots. ‘Olivia, please, slow down,‘ he thought. ‘You have more than enough time. Just think.’
Olivia was moving so fast that even the students sitting near her were getting distracted. They started muttering under their breath.
“What’s her deal? Is she pretending to be some kind of genius?”
“Dude, the way she’s flipping those pages… Is she trying to psych us out?”
“I get it if you don’t know the answers, but why put on a show? It’s throwing off my focus.”
“Silence,” Troymanded, tapping his hand on a desk.
The room quieted down, the only sound being the scratching of pens on paper. Olivia never stopped. She finished the entire Englorian section in exactly one hour.
“I’m ready for the next section,” Olivia announced, raising her hand. Her face was perfectly calm, as if she’d justpleted a crossword puzzle.
Every pen in the room stopped moving. All the heads turned to stare at her in stunned disbelief. They didn’t know whether she was a genius or a lunatic. The fastest student in the ss wasn’t even halfway done.
Hallie happily handed her the math section of the exam. She was utterly convinced that Olivia wouldn’t be able to answer a single question.

Troy, however, was growing more worried. Olivia’s speed was unnatural, and it was starting to terrify him.
With the math problems, Olivia’s pace became almost inhuman. To Olivia, the problems were nothing more than elegant puzzles. She didn’t solve them. She broke them down, finishing the entire section in just under an hour.
In the security office, Curtis watched the monitors with a smile. Propping his chin on his hand, his eyes were filled with pure admiration. If anything, he thought Olivia was taking her sweet time.
“Next section, please,” Olivia said, letting out a rxed stretch and idly spinning her pen.
A fresh wave of disbelief rippled through the ssroom. Most of them were still sweating over the Englorian passages, and she was already moving on to the third part of the test.
Troy had given up on understanding. He numbly waved a hand at the proctors. “Give her the papers.”
This mock exam was supposed to be an all–day affair. It wasn’t even noon, and Olivia was two sections down. At this rate, the entire test would be a wrap by mid–afternoon.
The proctors simply gave Olivia all the remaining sections at once. At 1:30 PM, she put her pen down. She was finished.
Troy personally sealed Olivia’s answer sheet in arge envelope and held it high for the ss. “For the record,” he announced, “this exam has been sealed without interference. It is being delivered directly to the graders
now.”
