Curtis slid the bowl of stew toward Olivia and said, “It’s cold out–have some to warm your stomach.”
Olivia lowered her gaze.
The stew glistened, its gravy a deep, glossy brown, thick from hours of gentle simmering. Rich, savory aromas rose like a soft cloud, instantly coaxing her appetite awake.
Olivia replied, “Thank you, but I don’t care for stew.” She then casually picked up a ravioli and popped it into her mouth.
The ravioli skins were paper–thin; once they were cooked, the bright–red filling glowed through the translucent dough.
Olivia lifted one out with the broth, tasted the rich soup and fragrant meat together, and felt the warmth chasing away the chill that had settled in her stomach all morning, leaving her wonderfullyforted.
Curtis was not upset by the rejection; he simply served himself a spoonful of stew. After only a few bites, he set down his spoon and gazed at Olivia, lost in thought.
After a while, he suddenly said, “I would never have guessed, Olivia–you are truly full of hidden talents.” He spoke with a gentle tone and elegant phrasing, disying the demeanor of a young master from a distinguished family.
Olivia said casually, “Average.”
Curtis rested his chin on his hand and looked at her, his eyes probing. He said, “You are being modest. I have reviewed your exam paper. The logic is clear and the structure is well–organized. Unless something unexpected happens, it should be a perfect score.”
Olivia shrugged.
Curtis said, “Everyone says you only finished junior high–so how did you solve these SAT questions? Are you some kind of genius?”
Olivia put down her fork and looked Curtis straight in the eye. She replied, “There aren’t that many geniuses in this world. I just nce at it a couple of times when I’m bored, and then I know how to do it.”
With that, she continued eating.
Curtis simply looked at Olivia. He thought, ‘She is quite interesting!‘
The number of people in the cafeteria continued to grow, and everyone who witnessed the scene was left
stunned.
One whispered, “Why does it always feel like they’re filming an idol drama when they eat?”
Another chimed in, “The man is handsome and the woman is beautiful–definitely easy on the eyes.”
Someone else said, “Or am I just jealous of how good their food looks? It’s making me hungry.”

Andrew, standing in the doorway, heard every word clearly. His expression iced over, eyes narrowing, and a lethal intent shed through them. The air around him seemed to freeze.
Ethan followed behind Andrew, not daring to utter a single word.
Andrew had just rushed back after spending more than ten consecutive hours on a red–eye flight–upon arrival, he immediately caught sight of Curtis and Olivia sitting together.
Andrew possessed a refined and noble demeanor. Combined with his handsome features, he immediately attracted the attention of those around him.
Everyone found it difficult to look away from his face.
Andrew was dressed entirely in ck today, pairing a long overcoat with a thick turtleneck sweater, which made his demeanor appear even more distant.
A faint smile lingered at the corner of his lips, and his deep eyes were filled with the image of Olivia.
The crowd’s reaction was so pronounced that Olivia naturally noticed Andrew over here. However, she was truly famished and had no time to look up at him. The food in this cafeteria was quite good and really suited her taste.
Curtis peeled a shrimp and was about to ce it into her bowl.
Suddenly, Andrew appeared beside the table and asked, “Are you truly hungry? Are these dishes not to your taste?”
Without looking up, Olivia said, “It’s okay. I quite like it.”
Upon hearing this, Curtis’s smile deepened. He raised his voice slightly and said, “If you like it, have some more.” As he spoke, he ced the freshly peeled shrimp into Olivia’s bowl.
Olivia did not touch the shrimp in her bowl. She looked up at Andrew and asked, “Are you showing off again?”
Andrew’s gaze flickered, a fond smile appearing at the corners of his eyes and brows. He said, “I have already kept a low profile. Today, I only brought Ethan.”
Ethan peeked out from behind Andrew, smiled, and greeted Olivia, “Hi, Ms. Summers. We meet again.”
Olivia gave a slight nod, which could be considered a response. She scrutinized Andrew’s attire and said, “Who put this together? It really does not look good.”
Andrew nodded and said, “Okay, I won’t wear it next time.”
The two engaged in an animated conversation, as if Curtis were not even there.
Curtis, disying tact, straightened his clothes and stood up. He said, “I have other matters to attend to, so I’ll take my leave. Please order as you wish; put it on my ount.”

Andrew replied, “That’s not necessary; I’ll pay myself. No need for you to go to the expenseb.” /b

Curtis ignored Andrew and smiled at Olivia. He said, “See you next time.” With that, he turned and left.
Andrew was somewhat displeased, though he did not show it. He adjusted his coat and sat down opposite. Olivia. He asked, “Do you know him well?”
Olivia took in every nuance of his expression and unconsciously tapped her fingers. She replied, “No. Why did you suddenlye back?”
Andrew crossed his legs in a rxed manner and said, “What, am I not wee? I came straight here from the airport.”
He thought, ‘I went to great lengths to obtain a blueberry cheesecake made by the top pastry chef, specifically to bring it for her to enjoy, but this is how she reacted. I’m disheartened.’
Olivia asked, “Do you want me to put up a banner for you?”
Andrew raised an eyebrow and said, “Fine.” fn1400 Official source is Find★Novel/fn1400
The students around them erupted again.
One eximed, “Oh my god, this one is even cooler.”
Another said, “Was that just a battlefield? I could smell the strong scent of gunpowder in the air.”
A student said, “That girl’s so lucky–each guy is hotter than thest.”
One said, “I think these two are a better match.”
Moments ago, Curtis and Olivia had the vibe of a domineering CEO and his star pupil. Now, with Andrew beside her, they seemed like two ethereal beings who’d wandered down from the heavens–calm, untouchable, and twice as mesmerizing.
Andrew opened the exquisite box, and a beautiful cake appeared before Olivia.
A blue butterfly served as the base, adorned with intricate cream patterns and individual blueberries, creating an exceptionally enticing appearance.
Olivia asked, “Is this for me?”
Andrew said, “The head pastry chef’stest creation: blueberry cheesecake. Would you do me the honor of trying it?”
Olivia’s eyes blinked, and her head dipped slightly, signaling her agreement.
Standing to one side, Ethan waspletely unaware of the upward curve at the corners of his mouth. The more he looked at Andrew and Olivia, the morepatible they seemed.
He thought, ‘If the socialites of Kingtonelle were to see Mr. Shea like this, it would set tongues wagging.

“They’ve managed to stay on friendly terms only because, popr as he is, he keeps every woman at arm’s length–none of them enjoys any special status. Should they discover Ms. Summers‘ situation, she would instantly be their target.’
