Charles said. “He might even know about Ivy’s whereabouts, so I need to keep him alive.”

Andrew replied, “Understood.” With that, he hung up.

In fact, Andrew also very much hoped to find Ivy as soon as possible. He and Ivy, in a certain sense, shared amon destiny.

In the Orion Hotel, Jenny held the photo sent by Ethan and gave a mischievous smile. She thought, ‘At the rate Andrew’s going, when will Olivia ever be his wife? Let me give him a little push.

She took out her modifiedptop and processed the image, applying a mosaic to Olivia’s face. Only Andrew’s back was left visible, and it was faintly apparent that a beautiful young woman was seated opposite him.

With a lollipop in her mouth, Jenny’s fingers flew swiftly across the keyboard. She quickly hacked into the Shea family’s security system and logged into Shea Group’s official ount.

Jenny uploaded the doctored image and scheduled it to go live at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve. She also embedded a snippet of code that made the post impossible to delete–except by her.

She thought, ‘Let this be my New Year’s gift to Andrew‘

On Hirica Avenue, a ck Porsche 911 sped along the road. Scenery on both sides shed rapidly past the car windows.

Andrew, seated in the front passenger seat, wore a tense frown. The car elerated, as if striving to break free from restraint.

Seated in the back, Ethan clutched the overhead handle as the engine roared and wind whipped past the windows. Swallowing hard, he covered his mouth to keep from vomiting. He thought, ‘No one warned me that Ms. Summers drives like a maniac.’

Ten minutes ago, when Olivia saw the Porsche, she smirked and said, “That’s a pretty cool car.”

Andrew asked, “Want to try?” He signaled Ethan to bring over the key.

Olivia replied, “All right.” Without waiting for anyone else, she seated herself in the driver’s seat and said, “I haven’t driven at all since I got my license.”

Upon hearing this, Ethan shivered involuntarily. He felt a sense of foreboding. And it turned out that his intuition was correct.

The car flew down the road, and Ethan squeezed his eyes shut in fright. He thought, ‘My 70 grand–haven’t even had a chance to spend it.

In the end, the scare passed without harm; Olivia chased speed and passion, yet her skill never faltered

Upon arrival at the destination, the vehicle came to a steady stop.

Ethan began vomiting uncontrobly as soon as he got out of the car, unable to utter aplete sentence. He said, “Ms. Summers, your driving skills are really beyond words.”

Olivia tilted her head to look at Andrew and asked, “What does he mean?”

Andrew said, “He is saying you’re amazing.”

Olivia nodded. She pushed the door open and entered. With Andrew standing guard at the door, she feltpletely at ease.

It was dimly lit inside the room. An iron chain was fastened around Donald’s ankle. He appeared dejected and unkempt, with tangled hair matted to his head. Flies hovered nearby.

Upon seeing Olivia, his reaction became noticeably more intense, and he struggled to stand up.

However, he had not eaten for days. His captors only dropped by sporadically to give him IV drips–just enough to keep him alive. Now hecked even the strength to speak, let alone stand.

Olivia casually took out a pill and tossed it into his mouth. She said, “Rest assured, it’s not poison. It will simply help you stay alert and answer my questions properly.”

She pulled a chair over and sat down, her long legs crossed, squinting as she looked at Donald

Donald clutched his own neck, feeling as if his throat were blocked and he was choking. Remarkably, after a short while, he felt noticeably less weak and sensed strength returning to his body.

He snarled, “This is all your fault. You are the one who did this to me. My hands and feet are ruined–are you satisfied now? Why are you here again? What new poison do you intend to give me now?”

He still remembered that Olivia had poisoned him and Gina; Gina died as a result of that poison. Fortunately, he was clever and left himself a life–saving charm. His captors racked their brains every day to detoxify him, so he got to survive until now.

The guard, concerned that Olivia might be frightened by Donald, kindly reminded her, “Ms. Summers, he is extremely radical. Please be careful.”

Ever since Donald was brought here, he had been extremely crazy. When he was lucid, he cursed people; when he was confused, he just grinned foolishly.

The guard only knew that Donald was the one who abducted Ivy and had steadfastly refused to disclose her whereabouts. As a result, Charles spared his life but ordered that he must not die and that no one else was permitted to visit him.

Olivia was brought by Andrew; had it been anyone elseb, /bshe certainly would not have been permitted to enter.

Olivia said. “It’s all right. He can’t hurt me. You should go out first. I can do this alone.”

The guard hesitated; Andrew had told him to protect Olivia, and he feared she might be hurt. He could bsee /bthat Andrew cared deeply for her.

Olivia said, “There is no need to worry. With the fence between us, he couldn’t approach me. Moreover, Andrew is just outside; if anything happens, I only need to call out and he wille in immediately.”

Moreover, knocking down such a loser was no challenge for her.

Upon hearing this, the guard left.

Olivia stared coldly at Donald. She twirled a strand of hair around her fingertips; her entire demeanor exuded a calm, merciless aura. She said, “Donald, male, forty–two years old, a resident of Magnolia Town, makes his living by trafficking children.”

She took a short knife from the wall and toyed with it in her hand. She said, “Tell me, do you think you will die by my hand today?”

Donald did not dare to meet her gaze, keeping his head lowered, yet his words remained defiant. He said, “I happen to know a major secret about the Summers family. They wouldn’t darey a hand on me—and neither would you.”

Olivia’s lips curled into a mocking smile; her gaze was icy cold. She dered, “The Summers family? I have never taken anyone seriously. Try it and see if I dare touch you.”

Donald felt a tingling sensation on his scalp and trembled all over. He retreated step by step until he could go no further, then staggered and sat down heavily on the ground.

He thought, ‘She is the devil, a demon that has crawled out of hell.

Olivia demanded, “Who told you and Gina toe see me?”
