Ethan felt relieved. He knew that with Olivia around, no problem was beyond fixing.

Given Edward’s state, Olivia figured they’d never reach the city hospital in time–the county hospital. was their only shot. She said, “Take him to the county hospital.” As she spoke, she sealed off a few of Edward’s pressure points.

When the group got to the hospital, they threw Edward onto a gurney and raced him toward the OR. Olivia perched on the edge of the gurney, working her needles to keep him hanging on, and shed a

    credential at the dean.

That credential wasn’t an ordinary medical license. It was a special pass issued by the country’s top health bureau–anyone holding it had ess to any operating room in the nation, no questions asked.

Every med student had heard of it, but almost nobody had ever actually seen one in real life. Only doctors who’d made huge contributions to medicine in the country ever got their hands on one of

    these.

The dean turned the credential over in his hands, shock written all over his face. He thought,

“Unbelievable–a girl this young has this credential.‘ He looked at Olivia and asked, “Miss, what do you

    need?”

Olivia said, “Emergency–I’m taking over your OR. The patient has been exposed to cold for too long and might need a transfusion. Is the blood bank stocked?”

The dean nodded, clearly impressed. He said, “We’ve got plenty. Just focus bon /bsaving him.”

Olivia ordered, “Get him to the OR.” She then asked Andrew, “Do you know his blood type?”

Ethan jumped in and said, “It is Type B.”

“Good,” Olivia replied, already nning. She thought, ‘It’s always good to have a backup. If the blood bank runs low, we can always calf in someone of the same type, just in case.

They wheeled both Edward and Olivia straight into the OR.

Andrew almost rushed in after Olivia, but the dean caught him at the door bjust /bin time.

The dean said, “Sorry, sir, no unauthorized personnel past this point.”

Andrew didn’t mind. He just plopped down next to Charles on the bench in the hallway, settling in to

    wait.

Charles sighed and asked, “Andrew, any news on Ivy?”

    Andrew shook his head.

He’d been trying to get some leads for the Summers family, but everything he’d found was useless- and he’d already ended up embarrassing himself big time once before.

Last time, with the help of the Shea family, they rounded up a dozen girls of the right age and simr appearance, and ran DNA tests on each one of them. The results showed that three of them were Ivy.

Anyone could tell someone was tampering with the results behind the scenes. Good thing Charles was sharp–he managed to catch the culprit red–handed.

Ever since then, both the Summers and Shea families have kept their search quiet, only digging for clues discreetly. Every tip they received was either bogus or a dead end.

Charles asked, “Will I ever be able to find Ivy?”

Andrew calmly took the folder Ethan handed him and started working. He wanted to find Ivy just as badly as Charles did, so he could finally get out of this so–called engagement with her.

Inside the operating room, Olivia slipped into her surgical gown, her movements swift and sure.

Scalpel, forceps, disinfectant, checking blood pressure and blood sugar–Olivia didn’t miss a beat, handling every step like she’d done it a thousand times. Anyone watching could tell–she was the real

    deal.

Edward had been hanging on for way too blong/bb, /bband /bafter all that emotional turmoil just now, his body was a mess–wounds all over his body, some festering for days.

In the face of such a situation, even some veteran doctors were hesitant and couldn’t believe that

    Olivia could handle it.
