CHAPTER 50: DEAL (3)

Hesitantly the manager unzipped the bag. As soon as he opened it his eyes widened in shock. The bag was filled to the brim with stacks of hundred-dollar bills.

There was only cash inside the bag. So much cash it was almost unbelievable. "What is this?" he asked his voice trembling. "Cash?"

"This is eighty million dollars," Adam said as if it were the most normal thing in the world. The bag was quite big and very heavy. The manager was having a lot of difficulty just holding the flap open.

"This has the whole amount for the initial bribe," Adam continued. "I want you to take someone you trust with you when you deliver it."

The manager was in complete shock. He did not understand what was happening. For a while he just kept staring at the money his mind unable to process the sheer amount of it.

He kept bothering Adam.

He kept asking how he had collected so much money. But Adam refused to give him any answer. He just sat there with a calm and enigmatic smile on his face.

The manager finally accepted that he would not get any answers.

He zipped up the bag. He took the money and left. His mind was in a daze. He felt like he was in a dream.

After Kim left Adam looked at the One-Click Billionaire app on his phone. He had noticed a new feature after reaching level 50. Many new withdrawal options had appeared.

Such as ’Withdrawal in Gold’. ’Withdrawal in Cash’. ’Withdrawal in Bank’. Adam had seen that even if he transferred a huge amount of money to his bank the bank did not say much to him. It was as if they were completely hypnotized.

They did not even realize what was happening. Their systems did not flag the transactions. No alarms were raised. Seeing this Adam had felt a little peace. But he knew that a large bank transfer could still be traced. It left a digital footprint. So for this operation he had withdrawn these eighty million dollars in cash.

He withdrew those eighty million dollars.

Instantly a huge pile of money without a bag appeared on his table. Stacks of hundred-dollar bills materialized out of thin air.

Adam knew that this amount would be more than enough for his small task. And if it was not enough for some reason he always had his bank account.

Although Adam was afraid. Even if his bank account was not being noticed with all the money he had he worried about what would happen when he started transferring large sums from bank to bank.

Adam did not know whose eyes might fall on his bank then. He did not know what kind of scrutiny he would face. That’s why for now Adam was avoiding transferring a lot of money from bank to bank.

He would wait until his own bank was established. Adam decided that he would open his own primary account in his own bank. And there he would be able to do whatever activities he wanted without any fear.

After the manager left Adam left his phone on auto-click again. And he went to sleep.

As soon as morning came Adam’s phone was ringing. It was not his alarm. It was a call. Adam quickly picked up the call. It was Andrew. "I’ve been calling you for so long," he said his voice a little frantic.

"I’m sorry," Adam said rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "What happened?"

"Today is Sunday," Andrew said.

"And today most of our bank’s things are being installed. The servers the security systems everything. Although even after using the money you gave me all the things will be installed only by this afternoon."

"So you should come here at one o’clock. In the city center. That’s where our bank is located. I had put as many people as possible on the renovation of this building. Because of which this building was finished very quickly. But there are still a few things left."

"What about Smith?" Adam asked. He was more interested in his new CEO than in the physical construction of the bank. "Is he there?"

After hearing Adam’s words Andrew’s tone changed.

"That boy?" he said with a hint of awe in his voice.

"Yes he has been here since last night. He hasn’t gone anywhere. He slept for a few hours on a cot in one of the back rooms. In fact in the beginning the people I had selected for the bank the experienced professionals they were very surprised. They were a little hesitant to listen to a kid."

"But when he showed his strictness and he demonstrated his knowledge everyone is listening to him very well now. He’s a natural leader Adam. He’s incredible." He paused for a moment. "I also talked to the manager Kim last night. He told me that he was going out for some other work."

"I sent him," Adam said simply.

"I thought so," Andrew said. "And Adam that little boy Smith he’s saying that we will keep one billion dollars in the bank’s vault." Andrew was very surprised while saying this. "One billion dollars Adam. He says it’s our initial reserve."

"Yes," Adam said his voice calm.

"You are talking about cash right?" Andrew asked his voice now a whisper. "One billion dollars in cash?"

"No," Adam said. "We will keep gold reserves."

Andrew said with a little worry "You remember that gold is highly valued internationally. But if we have the Empire’s currency it will have more importance."

"No," Adam said. "With that we will be bringing a lot of attention to ourselves."

Andrew said "Today is Sunday. That little boy is coming to you. To your apartment. I have given him the address of your apartment. I had called to tell you this. And don’t be late. Your coming today is very important."

Adam said yes to him and hung up the phone. He opened the auto-click again. But just then Adam checked his balance. He saw that 209 billion dollars had been collected in his One-Click Billionaire app.
