CHAPTER 63: OIL (2)

She could not sleep the whole night. No matter how much she tried she had decided early in the morning that she would not disturb Adam now. She would respect his privacy.

She would not be the crazy jealous neighbor. But then she found herself standing outside Adam’s gate. She had walked there on autopilot.

Even after deciding that she would not talk to Adam after today her heart was not ready to leave him. Adam had no idea what Sophia was thinking.

He just came out of his apartment ready for another day at school. And he saw Sophia standing there. The deep sadness that had been on her face yesterday had disappeared. She looked at him with a strange mix of hope and trepidation. Adam was very surprised.

Sophia now went all the way to the school talking to Adam. She was mostly trying to ask about his friend Andrew and the mysterious Maria. She wanted to know how they had met.

She wanted to know how their love story had started. But Adam mostly avoided her questions. He just said that he did not take such personal information from his friends.

After going to his gymnasium at the school Adam stayed inside his office. He had a lot to do. He opened his One-Click Billionaire app again. After going to the store option in it he started searching for many people who would be very useful for his future plans. He was building his shadow organization.

He needed the right people. However Adam was just waiting for the ultimate tool for now. The assistant system. Which was available at the 100 trillion dollar price point.

Adam felt that 100 trillion dollars would not come so easily. But before he got the system he knew that he could do many things manually himself. The app still gave him even more opportunities.

He had seen that to go to the next level of the app he had to have a successful business. And that business needed to have a certain number of customers.

After the grand opening of his bank that option was now completely open. Adam was very happy to see this. But he knew that he had to do something else first so that he could progress further with his plan.

He went to the recruit option. He put in a new request. He put that he needed a person who could become a shadow company for him. A person who could transact large amounts of money in his bank without any government agency knowing that it was a fake transaction.

This would allow Adam to do many things without any restriction. Adam put all the necessary information in the input box. The recruit option then searched for many people. Adam had put the location within his own city. There he found a man. Adam saw the man’s photo. He was a middle-aged man with white hair.

He was a little fat. His name was Kevin. And he ran a small import-export company of his own. Which was a small and unassuming company from the outside.

But from the inside Kevin transferred money from one big business to another without coming to the notice of the government machinery.

Due to this a lot of taxes were saved by those businesses. And a big chunk of their money was transferred from here to there without any record. This seemed to be the best option for Adam. He was in his city. And he had a 4.5-star rating on the app.

After reading his file Adam found Kevin’s personal number. After getting it out of the app Adam put his own phone down. He took out another untraceable phone. A burner phone which he had ordered from Kim the manager.

This phone would work for a short time only. And then Adam would break it and throw it away so that his real identity was not revealed. Adam dialed Kevin’s number in it.

After ringing for a while Kevin picked up his phone. He was very surprised that this call was coming from an unknown number. However most of his important calls came from unknown numbers only.

The people who used his services to transfer their money from here to there. That is why Kevin was very much an expert in these things. He knew that whoever called him on this number which was his personal business number it must be a new customer.

Kevin was talking about this with a sense of anticipation. He was sitting in his own office in his own business building which was at a little distance from Adam’s new bank the Shining Star Bank.

And even Kevin was very impressed with the stunt of the first day of this new bank. He was impressed by how many people this bank had called to its doors.

Kevin picked up the phone. "Hello am I talking to Kevin?" Adam asked his voice now disguised with a slight digital distortion.

"Yes this is he," Kevin said. "Tell me your business."

"I do not want to transfer a certain number of amount from here to there which your common customers do," Adam said.

Hearing this Kevin was a bit surprised. "Then why have you called me?" he asked with a hint of doubt in his voice.

"Because I want to do a different kind of business with you," Adam said. "Can we talk?"

Hearing this Kevin remained silent for a few seconds. Then he said in a curt voice "Okay if you want to fix a business matter then we will not do it on the phone."

Hearing this Adam just smiled to himself. "You decide the place," he said.

When Kevin heard Adam’s words he was on high alert. Because he knew that there were many government organizations that were behind him. They suspected him of money laundering. But they did not have any solid proof.

Due to which they had not been able to catch him till now. And they had tried many times to trap him in some way or the other.

But Kevin was also very smart. That is why Kevin decided that he would test this new mysterious man.

"Okay then," he said. "We will meet in the city park. In one hour."
