CHAPTER 68: MEETING

Adam left Kevin standing in the silent cafe.

He walked away from there. The sun was setting. The sky was turning a deep orange. It was now late evening.

Adam did not go back to the bank. He went straight to his apartment.

He closed the door behind him. He felt a moment of peace. The day had been long. The meeting with Kevin had been intense. He needed to rest.

Adam took out his mobile phone. He opened the One-Click Billionaire app. He looked at the number at the top of the screen.

The auto-clicker was still running. It was still generating money with every passing second.

Adam thought about the time it had taken. It took him almost three days to make one trillion dollars.

He did the math in his head. To reach one hundred trillion dollars it would take a long time. Almost a year. The thought made Adam a little worried. A year was too long. He needed to move faster.

But then he saw something else on the screen.

The requirement for the next level up was now met. The system recognized his bank’s success. He could increase his level again. A new option glowed on the screen.

Adam looked at the amount needed to level up. It was twenty-eight billion dollars.

He paid it instantly.

He saw his total balance drop. The one trillion dollars he had was now gone. The number fell back to just over nine hundred billion dollars.

But something else had changed. He looked at the amount generated per click. It was no longer one million dollars. Now he was getting two and a half million dollars per click.

Adam saw the next level-up button. He clicked it again without hesitation.

This time the cost was fifty-two billion dollars. The amount was deducted. His balance dropped again. He looked at the per-click amount. It had increased again. Now he was getting five million dollars per click.

Adam watched the auto-clicker work. It was clicking five times per second.

He was now generating twenty-five million dollars every single second.

The numbers were climbing at a blinding speed. Adam felt a surge of power. He tried to click the level-up button again. This time a new notification appeared on his mobile phone. It blocked the screen.

The message was simple.

Adam’s eyes widened when he read this.

He thought about the words. Capital Venture.

It was a best plan.

Of course his bank was a business. It could work as a capital venture. But it was not doing that yet. Right now it was just a public bank taking deposits and giving small loans. It was not investing. It was not acquiring assets.

Adam smiled.

"It seems I have to enter this sector too," he said to himself. His plan had to expand. Then Adam looked at the bank account details linked to the app.

It used to be his old account at a local bank. He saw that his bank account had been automatically changed. The app had updated itself. It was now linked to his own bank. The Shining Star Bank.

He did not need to do anything. The system had done it for him. It was seamless. It was efficient.

It was a small change. But it meant everything.

Adam put his phone down. He set it back to auto-click.

The money was now pouring into his Shining Star Bank account. The numbers were climbing faster than ever before. As soon as Adam put the phone down it rang. He looked at the screen.

It was Manager Kim.

Adam picked up the call immediately.

"Adam there is a problem," the manager said. His voice was tense. Adam felt a drop of sweat on his forehead.

"What problem?" he asked. His own voice was calm. The manager spoke quickly. "The list of names you gave me. I contacted them. I gave them the money just like you said."

He paused for a breath. "But I don’t know how. The other political party found out. Their brokers know about it. I am at my hotel right now. A broker from the other party found me. He came to my room."

Adam listened. He said nothing.

"He said that if we don’t fund his party too then they will target our business when they come into power. They will destroy us."

Adam was very surprised to hear this. The game was more complex than he thought. He told the manager "Okay. You wait. I will do something now."

Saying this Adam cut the call. The worry on the manager’s face was clear even through the phone. Adam immediately opened his One-Click Billionaire app again. He went to the store. He went to the recruit option.

He typed in a search. He described the broker. The one who met the manager. The one who threatened him. The recruit app was an amazing tool for Adam.

The system gave Adam information about the man. Adam was very surprised when he saw the result. The man’s name was Ace. And he worked for the same brokerage firm. The one that funded the party currently ruling Solo City province.

Adam was a little surprised. He thought to himself. How can one brokerage firm fund both political parties? It did not make sense. Adam then used the app to research the brokerage firm itself. The report appeared on his screen.

The firm’s name was "Large Monetary Systems".

He read the public knowledge about them. Then he read the secret knowledge. The information nobody else knew. He discovered the truth. This brokerage firm only funded one political party. The one currently in power.

Adam was very surprised. The information was a direct contradiction. He went back to Ace’s profile. He checked it again. He read through the man’s characteristics. One special thing was mentioned.

Greed.

Adam felt a little suspicion. Something was not right.
