One-Eyed Monster
Chapter 356 356: 352
The haughty voice came from a woman, a voice whose arrogance the people of the Alchemy Workshop had long grown familiar with.
"Bigas..." The Great Witch Biggs was exceptionally excited. She had finally seen her junior martial sister at Dawn Peak earlier, but they were separated by an inexplicable force before they could chat for long, leaving her filled with regret. Now, encountering her junior martial sister—who was like family—once again, it was only natural for her to be emotional. After all, she wasn't a politician capable of effortlessly controlling her emotions.
Bigas appeared in another corner of Grey Eagle Peak. This time, she chose to emerge from a corner instead of descending from the sky, an approach completely out of sync with her usual high-profile style.
However, this time, she wasn't the only one to emerge from that corner of Grey Eagle Peak; others followed. They trailed behind Bigas, appearing from the corner as if crawling out of a massive bubble.
The Great Witch Biggs watched as the others appeared behind Bigas. Although she couldn't recall some of their names, their faces were all too familiar.
Among them were the young man who had climbed the mountain with her, a mysterious hunter missing an arm, an old, reticent hunter who spoke slowly, and a perpetually uneasy teenager...
These were clearly the same people from Dawn Peak, now reunited with the main force and gathered together on Grey Eagle Peak.
"The one before you is merely a lifeless shell, and all of you have been conned," Bigas declared, her arrogant voice tinged with resentment, as if she too had fallen for the same trick.
"Is this... the legendary Teleportation Portal?" Simon couldn't help but exclaim, marveling at the sight of the giant, bubble-like structure.
Legend told that the Teleportation Portal could overcome spatial constraints in a short time, transporting people from one place to another. It was a technique many dreamed of mastering, yet only a few across the entire continent truly grasped it. Thus, Simon couldn't help but marvel upon witnessing such a similar technique.
Simon's exclamation made the normally prideful Bigas abruptly turn around, letting out a reluctant grunt.
This grunt was laden with meaning. Beyond her usual arrogance, it also carried a hint of unwillingness.
This unwillingness seemed to convey to everyone present that this teleportation technique had nothing to do with her.
Stan Sol nodded slightly at Simon, his meaning clear: Simon was correct; this was indeed the legendary Teleportation Portal.
This small interlude briefly distracted the people on Grey Eagle Peak. However, most of their attention remained fixed on the Dark Wizard. Even after enduring the Physical Technique Attacks from Milo and others, he showed no signs of abnormality, continuing to spout arrogant words and wave his Obsidian Staff as usual.
"I initially thought you were dealing with the main body here, but it turns out to be just another shell," Bigas stated again, her arrogant tone laced with a hint of disappointment—a disappointment seemingly directed at the people before her.
Bigas snapped her fingers, then haughtily addressed the young man behind her, "Kuruto, analyze this shell for me."
"Master! I..." Kuruto had no insight whatsoever. Its mind is in turmoil, but since it's occupying Hustace's body, no matter how tormented its spirit feels, it's not its own body, so there's no need for it to feel the physical pain.
"What use are you!" Bigas snapped, then turned her attention to the Dark Wizard.
She could determine that this Dark Wizard was also a shell because she had dealt with one before. She could sense the same aura and the same Spirit Power Feedback from both of them. Bigas was a High-Rank Wizard, a Saint Robe even, and she could clearly distinguish the Spirit Power of the living from that of the dead.
Wizard Reed's avatar on Grey Eagle Peak didn't have many tricks. Its attacks were the same old patterns. Ever since Witch Biggs's Wind Elemental joined the battle, the avatar's initial offensive advantage had vanished. Although those Physical Technique Attacks didn't have a noticeable effect, he was, at the very least, no longer in a dominant position.
Bigas's Spirit Sensing Ability was very keen. While sensing the Dark Wizard opposite them, she also detected a familiar Spirit Power—the Spirit Power of a powerful individual from the Wizard Alliance.
"Is that Senior Yuga?" Bigas's proud voice finally carried a hint of normalcy as she addressed one of the monsters on Guru Mountain.
"The Yuga of the Wizard Alliance has passed. What you see is merely Monster Yuga."
"Since Senior Yuga's departure, the Alliance hasn't had a single respectable Wind Wizard. It's truly regrettable that among the six elements, we lack a Sage for one, severely crippling the Alliance." Bigas seemed completely oblivious to the current situation, continuing to speak her mind regardless of whether the Dark Wizard was subdued.
The Great Witch Biggs glanced from the Wind Elemental to Bigas, feeling a little relieved. Even though that Dark Wizard is incredibly powerful, we now have many more allies. Defeating him shouldn't be a problem. Not to mention Bigas, even the mysterious man with the severed arm (I'm not even sure if he's the Vice Court Chief of the Liuli City Court of Guards anymore) and the young man who stammered were formidable enough.
It had to be said, the Great Witch's Wind Elemental was exceptionally competent. Any Smoke emitted by the Dark Wizard's Obsidian Staff was blown far, far away by its breath, rendering even the slightest hint of a deadly aura undetectable.
"There is a Wind Wizard right before you—this is Hail Storm Wings. Shouldn't the Alliance feel proud?" Yuga said slowly. At that moment, he was assisting Jemma in sensing the invisible, contagious magic. They knew that unless this spell was broken, the Dark Wizard before them would not cease his attacks.
"What?!" The most surprised was the Witch Spirit occupying Hustace's body. That skeleton in front of me is Senior Yuga? And this Gray Robe Witch can actually summon Hail Storm Wings?!
However, its outburst of surprise didn't cause any reaction from those around it; everyone was too busy to pay attention to its every move.
Estev watched the people from the Alchemy Workshop attacking using only Physique Techniques and felt something was amiss. He had just experienced an unusual confrontation. The spells wielded by this Dark Wizard were bizarre and had left them perplexed for a time.
Now, here's another Dark Wizard's avatar. It's definitely employing another peculiar spell.
Estev focused his senses, trying to determine what kind of spell had made these Alchemists abandon their proficient Spirit Attacks in favor of Physique Technique Attacks.
But this wasn't something he could perceive just by wanting to. He couldn't discern any trace of the Dark Alchemist's spell; he could only continue to slowly try and sense it.
