Chapter 605: Drawing the Line
CHAPTER 605: CHAPTER 605: DRAWING THE LINE
Ivy Kensington’s heart trembled slightly, and after greeting Leo Sherman, she walked towards Sebastian Blackwood.
"Miss Kensington, looking forward to seeing you next time."
Leo Sherman smiled, waving the spray in his hand at Ivy Kensington.
Just as Ivy was about to wave back, Sebastian Blackwood’s broad hand suddenly grabbed her wrist, questioning, "Who is he?"
His tone didn’t sound very friendly.
Ivy had originally wanted to discuss the child with him calmly, but seeing his attitude now, she couldn’t help but feel angry.
"A friend, does it have anything to do with you?"
After saying this, she forcefully shook off his grip and walked towards the ward alone.
Sebastian Blackwood’s deep eyes suddenly darkened, the emotions within him pressing heavily.
Finally, he cast a cold glance at Leo Sherman and strode after Ivy Kensington.
In the ward.
As soon as Ivy Kensington entered, she closed the door, not wanting Sebastian Blackwood to come in.
However, as Blackwood Group was the largest investor in this hospital, even with the door closed, he still had a way to enter.
"Ivy, we need to talk."
Standing beside the woman’s hospital bed, Sebastian Blackwood spoke in a deep voice.
Ivy: "What’s there to talk about? You just don’t want me to see my daughter, you think I gave birth to a freak."
Sebastian Blackwood frowned.
"Who told you that I dislike the child?"
If not, then what?
There was always a thorn in Ivy’s heart; if he didn’t dislike her baby, then why wouldn’t he let her see her, and even use Claire Crowley’s child to deceive her?
Thinking of this, Ivy felt increasingly bitter inside.
He had once told her he’d never touched Claire Crowley, but when the child was born, it was indeed his, he had been lying to her all along.
Biting her lip hard, Ivy said, "I just want to ask you, did you ever touch Claire Crowley?"
With these words, the atmosphere in the ward became heavy once more.
Sebastian Blackwood lowered his eyes. In his memory, he hadn’t touched Claire Crowley, but Nunally was indeed his child.
Seeing his silence, Ivy knew the answer.
For a moment, her whole heart felt numb again.
"Get out, I don’t want to see you."
Her tone was icy cold.
Sebastian Blackwood’s Adam’s apple bobbed slightly as he replied, "That day I was drunk and thought she was you."
In other words, he mistook Claire Crowley for her, and they ended up in bed together.
His explanation only made her feel more upset.
Claiming to be drunk, but truly, if he were that drunk, he wouldn’t have been able to do something like that.
Ivy let out a cold laugh, feeling chilled all over, but upon reflection, they were already divorced; whoever he slept with was none of her business.
Closing her eyes, she said, "Sebastian, I only ask you to let me see the child, the rest, I don’t want to care anymore."
No matter what the relationship between him and Claire Crowley was, she didn’t want to care anymore.
With these words, Sebastian Blackwood’s elegant brows furrowed deeply.
"Are you trying to draw a line between us?"
Ivy remained silent.
"Heh."
Seeing this, the man let out a cold laugh, "Fine, as you wish."
The next second, there was the sound of firm steps leaving, and the ward door was closed.
As Ivy lay on the bed, her eyes ached.
She had thought that escaping from the Lowell family would mean everything would turn for the better, but it seemed she had just been daydreaming.
Early the next morning.
"Miss Crowley, this is the best ward in our hospital. Master Blackwood must truly cherish you and the child, giving you the best room."
"After all, Miss Crowley gave Master Blackwood such a well-behaved, sweet daughter, who wouldn’t cherish that?"
