One Night Bride: Master Blackwood's Substitute Wife
Chapter 70: The Latest Paternity Test
CHAPTER 70: CHAPTER 70: THE LATEST PATERNITY TEST
Dahlia Kensington immediately spoke: "Ivy Kensington, I know you’ve always hated me, wanting to do better than me, but how could you fabricate a paternity test to deceive Sebastian?"
Simon Weldon also said: "Ivy, Ronnie needs a father. Even if you don’t acknowledge me, you can’t casually claim relations with Master Blackwood."
The two sang in unison; Ivy Kensington’s lips moved, but she found herself unable to say a word.
The latest test results were right before her, and she couldn’t refute them!
Sebastian Blackwood looked at Ivy’s silent expression coldly, and he couldn’t tell if he was more disappointed or felt something else, but it all seemed ridiculous.
He’d been deceived last time, and this time he subconsciously wanted to believe her again!
This woman was utterly vile and beyond redemption.
The next second, with a cold expression, Sebastian left, and from this day forth, he would never have any expectations of Ivy again!
Seeing Sebastian leave, Dahlia Kensington secretly sighed in relief.
After receiving a frantic phone call, Dahlia had come up with this tactic, only fearing that the hospital doctor wouldn’t cooperate. She hadn’t expected that mysterious person to contact her again, telling her that as long as she dared to do the test, the result would certainly show Ronnie was related to Simon Weldon.
So she convinced Simon to help her.
Dahlia was finally proud and elated; from now on, she no longer had to fear that Sebastian would discover Ronnie’s identity, because he wouldn’t believe it!
"Ivy, you deserve this."
With a high-spirited remark, Dahlia triumphantly walked out.
Simon also wanted to follow her, but Ivy strode over and grabbed his collar: "Simon Weldon, you’re lying!"
No matter what, she wouldn’t believe that the man from four years ago was him!
Simon was flustered for a moment, but seeing Dahlia leaving, he impatiently pushed Ivy away: "Believe it or not, as for the kid, I don’t care either!"
With that, he hurriedly left.
Ivy Kensington went home in a daze, unable to understand who was behind all this manipulation?
At that moment, Tiffany Leighton called her: "Ivy, tonight the university is holding its centennial celebration. I heard Stanley Kensington will be there as an honorary alumnus, do you want to find a way to sneak in?"
Since escaping from the hospital last time, Stanley had almost vanished, and Ivy couldn’t find him anywhere.
It was too good of a chance to miss, so she immediately nodded and said: "Yes, I want to go."
Although her student status had been revoked so she couldn’t officially attend the celebration, she could still easily get permission to enter the campus with the help of teachers and classmates.
At seven in the evening.
Before the official start of the celebration, there was a masquerade ball.
Ivy hid herself among the crowd, her eyes searching everywhere, but still no sign of Stanley Kensington...
Then, the crowd began to stir.
Sebastian Blackwood had arrived, with Dahlia Kensington as his female companion by his side.
Logically speaking, Dahlia shouldn’t have been invited since she’s neither a student of Veridia University nor a renowned alumnus, but because Sebastian was a guest lecturer at the university, she got the chance to attend the celebration.
Sebastian’s appearance instantly caused an uproar at the celebration site.
Dahlia was even more splendid, hearing people exclaim: "Oh my god, that woman is so lucky, it’s the first time Master Blackwood has brought a female companion into the public eye."
"I heard she’s Master Blackwood’s wife, marrying him is like saving the universe."
Ivy listened quietly to the discussions, her heart aching more and more.
Dahlia deservedly stood openly by his side, while she was nothing more than a pitiful shadow stealing Dahlia’s identity in the dark...
Ivy instinctively wanted to escape this suffocating place.
But at that moment, the ball began, and a hand was placed on her waist. She looked up to see it was...
