One Night Bride: Master Blackwood's Substitute Wife
Chapter 739: She Still Loves Him
CHAPTER 739: CHAPTER 739: SHE STILL LOVES HIM
She deliberately teased, her scorching breath brushing against the man’s Adam’s apple.
She knew that this was a sensitive spot for him.
Ivy Kensington anxiously watched him, her lustrous, watery eyes sparkling, impossible for anyone to refuse.
Sebastian Blackwood, his eyelids lowered, took in the woman’s posture, his Adam’s apple subtly moving.
And just at that moment—"Director Blackwood."
Another soft female voice appeared from behind.
Sylvia Sterling’s face was pale; she had not expected to witness such a scene!
Delayed by Sebastian Blackwood’s failure to return, she thought something had happened and hurried over, only to find Ivy Kensington and him in such an intimate position.
Sylvia Sterling bit her lips almost to the point of bleeding, standing frozen in place.
Upon hearing her voice, Sebastian instinctively turned his head, sighing softly in his heart moments later.
He couldn’t let Sylvia Sterling misunderstand.
The next second, he strode towards Sylvia Sterling, wrapped an arm over her shoulder, and softly explained, "There is nothing between her and me."
Sylvia Sterling was initially a bit upset; if Sebastian truly liked Ivy Kensington, why come to her?
But now, Sebastian had clearly chosen her!
It must have been Ivy who made the first move!
Pressing her lips tightly, Sylvia Sterling proactively raised a hand, embracing Sebastian Blackwood back, and obediently said, "I believe you."
Then she looked up and met Ivy Kensington’s gaze.
Ivy Kensington looked numbly at the scene before her.
Although Sebastian hadn’t answered her previous question, his actions had already given her the answer!
He chose Sylvia Sterling!
In an instant, a wave of cold engulfed her whole body, and Ivy shivered uncontrollably from the chill.
Her heart was also seized with layers of intense pain.
She clearly knew that he no longer liked or wanted her...
But what could she do?
She still loved him.
Tears fell uncontrollably from Ivy’s eyes as she stood alone in the shadows cast by the dim wall lamp, appearing so pitiful.
Sebastian Blackwood, however, didn’t turn back to look at her condition; he continued to comfort Sylvia Sterling in his arms.
"She’s the one pursuing me; I don’t like her."
He said clearly.
The surroundings were very quiet; the man’s low voice was like blades, piercing deeply and bloodily into a heart, nearly causing Ivy to lose her breath from the pain.
Tears fell incessantly, landing on the ground, spreading with no trace.
He no longer cared about her tears.
Sylvia Sterling looked at Ivy’s disheveled state, feeling an indescribable sensation in her heart. She took Sebastian Blackwood’s arm and headed towards the room.
"Okay, I understand. Let’s go back first."
She was calm and considerate, unlike Ivy Kensington who always argued with Sebastian Blackwood in the past.
"Alright."
Sebastian, agreeing with her words, still did not look back at the woman behind.
Only when they turned the corner did he give an unintentional glance back with the corner of his eye.
But there, Ivy Kensington’s figure was gone.
She had quietly left, hiding her heartbreak.
Sebastian Blackwood’s brow twitched, his heart weighed down by an indescribable heaviness.
But his handsome features revealed nothing.
"Director Blackwood."
Then Sylvia Sterling softly called him, bringing Sebastian back to his senses. He looked down, his voice gentle as he asked, "What’s wrong?"
Sylvia Sterling stared at the man in front of her shyly, certain now that she truly liked him and would do anything to keep him.
After much thought, Sylvia Sterling tiptoed, decisively leaning in to kiss the man’s defined lips, their breaths immediately intertwining...
