When Kaido spoke, most of the onlookers mistakenly believed he was calling Ikki the weakest among them. Doflamingo and Jack’s expressions soured at this. If the "weakest" Ikki could inflict such damage, what about the others?

Kaido then turned his attention to Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and Ace

, who wore a mask.

Not far away, Greenbull observed the scene, recognizing an opportune moment to strike Ace. Kaido’s focus was clearly on the Straw Hats, leaving Greenbull perplexed as to how they had captivated the attention of a Four Emperor.

Fujitora shared a similar thought. He also sought to seize this chance to apprehend Doflamingo, who was clearly exhausted and breathless. Fujitora was confident he could defeat him with a single blow. However, what truly puzzled Fujitora was Kaido’s unusual calm towards the Straw Hats; he neither showed anger nor moved to attack them immediately.

As Fujitora pondered, Greenbull sprang into action. His feet transformed into resilient vine springs, propelling him towards Ace at an imperceptible speed.

Ace, still engrossed in observing Kaido, was lost in thought, wondering if this Kaido was the same one from his dream. Kaido’s recent words fueled Ace’s suspicion that Kaido and their "Teacher Kai" were indeed the same person, though he couldn’t be entirely certain.

He recalled battling the Beast Pirates during his time with the Whitebeard Pirates and had a firm grasp of Kaido’s character and combat prowess. After all, Kaido was a force capable of clashing with the "strongest man," Whitebeard, without faltering. A misstep could result in a devastating blow from Kaido’s club, which was no laughing matter.

Suddenly, Ace felt a whoosh of air behind him. Turning, he saw Greenbull, whose hand had transformed into an indestructible sword grass, lunging at him.

Caught off guard, the sword grass severed Ace’s head. The sword grass was imbued with Armament Haki, leading Greenbull to believe that even a Logia Devil Fruit user couldn’t survive such a blow. After decapitating Ace, Greenbull’s other hand morphed into a vine, ensnaring Ace’s head, and he attempted to make his escape.

Simultaneously, Fujitora initiated his own move, targeting Doflamingo.

Doflamingo had long been aware of the presence of two Admirals. However, given his stature and Kaido’s presence, he never believed they would dare to attack him. Yet, to his surprise, Fujitora acted.

Capturing the fatigued Doflamingo was a relatively straightforward task for Fujitora. He merely needed to amplify gravity to suppress Doflamingo, draining his energy until he could be directly handed over to the people of Dressrosa for justice.

The two Admirals moved in unison, one aiming for Ace, the other for Doflamingo. Law, observing from the sidelines, was convinced Kaido would intervene to protect Doflamingo, his collaborator.

Law had conducted his own investigations, driven by his ambition to overthrow a Four Emperor. Kaido’s desire to form a crew composed entirely of Zoan Devil Fruit

users led him to partner with Doflamingo for the production of artificial Devil Fruits.

Not only Law but also other onlookers believed Kaido would undoubtedly rescue Doflamingo. This included Fujitora himself, despite his actions.

However, what unfolded next astonished everyone.

Upon witnessing the two Admirals attacking Ace and Doflamingo, Kaido too sprang into action. Kaido was enraged by the sight of Ace’s head being severed. The Straw Hats were already familiar with the power of Ace’s second Devil Fruit.

His slime transformation was far more formidable than a typical Logia, capable of dissolving even Haki through splitting. The Straw Hats knew this, but Kaido didn’t. Seeing his student seemingly killed naturally incensed him. He completely disregarded the suppressed Doflamingo on the ground, charging directly behind Greenbull, who was attempting to flee.

Kaido wasn’t one for idle talk. Having decided to act, he showed no mercy. As for showing mercy to Luffy? Was Luffy an enemy? No, that was his student!

Kaido’s sudden movement drew everyone’s gaze. As he charged towards Greenbull, bewilderment spread through the onlookers.

"Huh? Did the boss drink too much? Why isn’t he saving Doflamingo?" Jack muttered in confusion.

Law frowned, murmuring, "Did that Greenbull ever offend Kaido?"

Only the Straw Hat trio smiled, secretly acknowledging, "It seems this Four Emperor is indeed our Teacher Kai!"

At the same time, Ikki approached Luffy and the others, stating, "Don’t worry! The dream we entered last time was Kaido’s! So he truly is your Teacher Kai!"

"Given how he wants to avenge Ace, he must have developed a master-disciple relationship with you!"

Ikki hadn’t anticipated such an unexpected turn of events! If Kaido became Luffy’s teacher, would the events of Wano Country remain the same as in the original story? Absolutely not!

In the original narrative, the Straw Hats sided with Wano not because Wano was inherently righteous, but due to preconceived notions. Firstly, Kozuki Momonosuke, the young leader, was a friend of the Straw Hats, a relationship strong enough to prompt their assistance. Secondly, Wano portrayed itself as the underdog. As a Four Emperor, Kaido was undeniably formidable.

However, even without Kaido, would the people of Wano have escaped oppression? No, they would still have been subjugated by high-ranking officials like samurai, nobles, daimyo, and generals. Furthermore, the people of Wano were rather ungrateful. Despite Luffy’s efforts in saving them and driving away the Beast Pirates, Momonosuke and the others took all the credit.

If Luffy entered Wano as Kaido’s disciple, it’s highly likely that the "righteous" warriors and nobles of Wano would turn their accusations towards Luffy. At that point, it would be the Luffy Gang’s turn to help Kaido rectify Wano Country.

Moreover, Ikki had already conceived a plan to entrust Kaido with the governance methods used by the Crew people to control Edo. With Kaido at the helm, Wano Country would undoubtedly improve! Complete equality might not be achievable, but at the very least, ordinary citizens would have enough food and clothing.

Luffy and the others were unaware of Ikki’s thoughts. They were simply overjoyed at the prospect of seeing Teacher Kai again! In the dream, perhaps because they weren’t mere NPCs, their relationship with Kaido was quite strong. Kaido even took them to skip classes and embark on adventures. While he was called their teacher, their bond at the time felt more like that of friends.
