Jack, having been swatted aside, clawed his way out of the rubble, his gaze fixed on his captain, a look of utter bewilderment plastered across his face. Why would Kaido protect the Straw Hats and assault him? Jack was completely baffled.
Meanwhile, Donquixote Doflamingo, utterly suppressed by Admiral Fujitora and unable to move, succumbed to despair. The powerful ally he’d sought had turned out to be the Straw Hats’ benefactor – how could he not feel utterly hopeless?
Even Trafalgar Law was deeply confused. Though his contact with the Straw Hats had been relatively brief, he understood them well enough to know they had no apparent ties to a Yonko. Yet, witnessing the current scene, Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, Vinsmoke Sanji, and the others clearly shared a familiar bond with Kaido. If Law knew they’d actually met while Kaido was sleeping, he’d be even more dumbfounded.
On the other side of the scene, Kaido, looking at the "students" from his dream, remarked, "So, it seems it was you who made me into a teacher?"
Kaido’s words caused several people to glance at Ikki. Ikki merely smiled. "Mr. Kaido, you... are destined to be a teacher!" he declared. "What do you say? Do you want to build a school in the real world and become an actual teacher?"
Kaido genuinely fell into deep thought. Three months of being a teacher in the dream realm had made him realize that teaching was a profoundly sacred and engaging profession.
Most importantly, he felt an immense sense of accomplishment witnessing his students grow little by little. Seeing Kaido so engrossed in his thoughts, Ikki secretly muttered, "Damn it! Kaido isn’t actually going to build a school, is he?"
Suddenly, Kaido let out a thunderous laugh. "Worororo... Alright! Then I’ll build a school and call it ’Beast Academy’!"
Jack was utterly flummoxed by his captain’s declaration. A school? Was he joking? They were all notoriously vicious pirates. Why build a school? To train more pirates? Instead of a school, a zoo seemed far more fitting... Of course, Jack only dared to entertain such thoughts; he certainly wouldn’t voice them aloud. He had no desire to be beaten again.
Kaido was genuinely planning to establish a school. Students could be recruited from anywhere on the seas. As for teachers, Kaido believed that the Beast Pirates possessed an abundance of talent, more than enough to fill the teaching positions.
He considered his three calamities:
King, with his calm demeanor, wisdom, and courage, would be perfectly capable of being the teaching director.
Queen the Plague, a former member of a scientific research team, would have no trouble as a chemistry teacher and might even cultivate a generation of young scientists.
As for Jack the Drought? He wasn’t particularly intelligent and couldn’t teach students, but he could serve as a perfect training dummy! After students mastered Haki, they would undoubtedly need targets for practice, and Jack was an excellent choice.
Then, they would simply select other capable individuals suitable to be teachers. Wouldn’t the school be established in no time?
"Yeah! That’s the plan! We’ll build the school when we get back! The location should be Wano Country!"
Hearing Kaido’s intent to build a school, Luffy, on behalf of the Straw Hats, voiced his enthusiastic support. Just as the atmosphere was becoming increasingly lighthearted and fun, Brook, Usopp, Tony Tony Chopper, and other members of the Straw Hat Pirates rushed onto the scene.
Even before getting close, Chopper, having eaten a Rumble Ball and transformed into his monstrous Human Point, delivered a colossal punch to Kaido’s head. However, the blow only made Kaido take a half-step back. Kaido, of course, wouldn’t retaliate, but before he could react, Luffy stepped in front of him, shouting at Chopper, "Hey! Chopper, what are you doing?!"
"Huh? Luffy, didn’t you start a fight with a Yonko? We’re here to help you!" Usopp explained.
At that moment, Brook and Nami also ran up. Nami, getting closer, noticed that Luffy and the others had no intention of fighting, and realized they might have been misled. Luffy’s next words confirmed Nami’s suspicion.
"How could we fight with Teacher Kaido! Who told you that?"
"It was Kin’emon! He said you asked him and Momonosuke to go back to the ship for help! So we came!" Usopp revealed.
"Damn it..." As soon as Usopp finished speaking, Franky cursed under his breath and sprinted toward the Thousand Sunny. After supposedly "transferring" the Straw Hats, what did Kin’emon and Momonosuke intend to do? Besides stealing the ship, what else could they be planning? Sanji, also suspecting Kin’emon and the others were going to steal the ship, rushed off without a word.
However, when everyone arrived at the port, the Thousand Sunny had vanished. As for why the Birdcage was gone? Naturally, it disappeared long ago after Doflamingo was defeated by Fujitora.
Luffy was furious to see his ship stolen.
"That boy earlier was called Momonosuke, right?" Kaido’s voice rumbled from behind Luffy and the others.
"Hmm? Teacher, do you know him?" Luffy asked curiously.
"Worororo... I know them, but we’re not close! If you want to chase them, you should be able to find them in Zou or Wano Country!" Kaido stated. "They can only go to those two places now!" Having said this, Kaido looked at Luffy with a grin. "Do you need me to take you there?"
"No need, we can go by ourselves. We’ll get our own ship back!" Luffy didn’t want to trouble Kaido further; after all, Kaido had already helped them enough.
"Alright! I’ll be waiting for you in Wano Country then!" With that, Kaido grabbed Jack, transformed into a giant dragon, and soared into the sky, flying away.
As for Doflamingo and his Artificial Devil Fruits? Kaido had completely given up on them. He had a new objective: building a school. Through this school, he aimed to cultivate people with various talents and intellects, and then have these individuals spread across the world, gradually changing it.
Kaido, the young man who once metaphorically "slayed dragons," had transformed into an "evil dragon." However, after witnessing true equality in a dream and being influenced by the "NPC" students and teachers within it, he had regained his childhood ambition, transforming once more into a "dragon-slaying boy."
After Kaido departed, the Straw Hats began discussing how to leave Dressrosa. The port was teeming with ships, both pirate and merchant vessels, but one particular ship caught the entire Straw Hat crew’s attention, making their eyes light up. Its bow was none other than a carving of Luffy himself!
Just as the Straw Hats stared in awe, Bartolomeo rushed over, his eyes shining. "Luffy-senpai, Luffy-senpai... please take my ship! My ship is absolutely reliable!"
"Oh? Is that really okay?" Luffy asked.
"Well... it would be my honor to... to let Luffy-senpai board my ship!" Bartolomeo stammered, overwhelmed with joy.
After hearing this, Luffy discussed it with his crew, and they agreed, boarding Bartolomeo’s ship, the "Going Luffy-senpai."
Meanwhile, Sabo, who had been investigating transaction records at the underground port, approached with a box containing the Mera Mera no Mi. Sabo handed the box to Luffy, asking, "Can Ace truly be resurrected?"
Luffy didn’t answer but looked at Ikki. Ikki nodded, approached the Flame-Flame Fruit, and then took out a Resurrection Talisman. He wanted to see if Ace’s soul was indeed within the fruit. If it was, he could resurrect Ace in this world.
All the Straw Hats had already learned about the resurrection process from Ikki, and they watched the scene with bated breath. Ace and Rouge also stepped forward, their gazes fixed on the Resurrection Talisman in Ikki’s hand. Only Sabo looked at Ikki with curious interest, but he remained silent.
