Luffy, however, was unconscious, so there was no one to comment on it.

Seeing this, Chopper, as a doctor, approached Luffy. Dr. Kureha said, "Chopper, if you're treating them, you need to hurry! They might not wake up again."

Outside, snow fell heavily, the wind howling fiercely. Occasional, frantic cries echoed through the snow-covered forest.

With Dr. Kureha's help, Chopper placed Usopp and Luffy on beds. The fire in the hearth crackled, offering some warmth.

Usopp slowly opened his eyes, seeing Chopper perched on a stool, diligently grinding medicine. Feeling his body warming slightly, he asked, "Who are you?"

Chopper was startled by Usopp's sudden awakening. He hid behind the pillar again, only half his body visible, his large eyes fixed on Usopp, looking terrified. Usopp, however, felt a little reassured.

"Actually, you're hiding on the wrong side of the pillar," Usopp pointed out.

Chopper quickly changed his position, fully concealing himself. But Usopp continued, "Too late. First impressions matter. You could've even played dead. And what are you? You look surprisingly human."

Chopper was mortified. "Shut up! Don't tell anyone!"

Despite his embarrassment, his professional side took over. "How are you feeling?" he asked seriously.

Usopp's eyes widened. "A reindeer… talked?!"

He was astonished that the reindeer-like creature could speak. Truly a Grand Line creature!

His exclamation startled Chopper, who tumbled to the side, knocking over bottles and jars. A clatter filled the room as dust swirled. Usopp instinctively closed his eyes.

From another room, Dr. Kureha's voice called out. The smoke cleared, revealing Chopper's short legs trembling.

"Hee hee hee~" Dr. Kureha chuckled, approaching with a bottle of green beer, her white hair flowing over her shoulders. She looked youthful except for her face.

"Soot-face, you seem a bit better," she said to Usopp.

Usopp thanked her profusely. But Dr. Kureha said, "Actually, it wasn't me who saved you, but him!" She pointed to Luffy, whose large soap bubbles contrasted sharply with his frostbitten and wounded body.

"If not for him, you'd be dead! Any later, and you'd be gone for good!" She took another large gulp of her drink.

Usopp murmured, "Yeah, without the captain…"

He thanked her again. Dr. Kureha then proceeded to pull down his pants.

Usopp blushed, covering himself. "What are you doing?! Don't think I'm helpless! I'm a brave warrior, a sharpshooter! If you—"

Dr. Kureha interrupted, "Think what you like. I just want to say you were bitten by a Kaschia bug. That's why you're like this."

She explained, "It's a poisonous insect from hot, humid forests.

Once bitten, bacteria enter through the wound, spreading throughout the body, remaining dormant for five days.

When it activates, it causes excruciating pain, a fever over 40 degrees, and severe infection—usually fatal…"
