He wasn't using much force, but having her chin held like that was uncomfortable for Loris.

"Let me go!" she demanded.

Without releasing the power sealed by her battle armor, her current strength was little more than that of a normal human, leaving her unable to break free.

"Answer my question honestly, and I'll let you go," Shinji said. "Are there others like you planning to invade this planet?"

Loris hesitated for a moment before answering quietly, "...I don't know."

"You hesitated just now. That means you're lying, isn't it?" Shinji's eyes carefully studied her reaction.

"I am not! Just let me go already!" She struggled to pry his hand off with both of hers but could not budge it.
