Online Game: Crazy Skeleton
Chapter 404 - 404 403
404: 403 404: 403 After that move, Su Ran had overexerted himself and his face turned a bit pale, his forehead soon covered in cold sweat, and he took a few deep breaths.
But the fighting spirit in his eyes didn’t diminish an iota.
He held onto his belt, ready to lash out at anyone who dared to come at him!
“Son, well done!
You scoundrels, take this from your old lady!”
Concerned about Su Ran’s safety, his mother tapped into her latent potential, and broke into a sprint before leaping towards the gangsters with her knife.
Wow, wasn’t that the signature move of a warrior class character in games – the Jump Cut?!
Mom, it’s a waste for you not to be playing video games!
“Dammit!”
The gangsters could clearly tell who was trouble and who wasn’t, they wouldn’t let Su Ran’s mother get too close, after all, a kitchen knife doesn’t discern friend from foe.
So they took the brunt of Su Ran’s belt attack, grabbed his belt and seized him.
“You damned woman, if you dare take another step forward, believe it or not, I’ll bash him over the head!”
The leader of the gang shouted, obviously on edge.
If this mad woman just blindly rushed at him with a knife, what would he do then?
Technically, they had broken into a civilian’s house and taken a hostage.
If they were stabbed a few times, they would have to take their lumps!
“You bastard, if you harm even a hair on Little Ran’s head, I’ll risk my life to kill you!”
Su Ran’s mother halted her charge, she hissed through gritted teeth, her grip on the kitchen knife tightening.
She took a few more steps forward, trampling on the gangsters scattered all over the floor.
“If you dare move, I won’t hesitate to use this knife!”
She gave the gangster under her foot a fierce glare before stomping on him again.
The poor gangster curled up on the floor, his cheek swollen badly, could only bear the pain, clench his teeth and stay still.
He didn’t doubt the crazy woman’s words, and he was afraid to cross her.
If he lost his head, wouldn’t his whole life be in vain?
Just as the situation grew tense, Su Ran moved.
He gently moved his aching arm, the aftermath of overexertion.
Then, he coughed aloud a few times to steady his racing heart before looking at the people around him.
Although under duress, there wasn’t a hint of fear in his eyes.
He calmly told the sturdy gangster in front of him, “Bro, you and I, we’re strangers, we’ve never crossed paths before, let alone wronged you.
Since you guys were able to come here, you must be doing someone else’s bidding.
Since I’m already captured, may I venture to ask who sent you?”
“You’re so naïve.
If we revealed our employer, we wouldn’t be able to survive in this line of work.
It’s an unwritten rule of the underworld, got it?!”
One of the gangsters rushed to respond, he was familiar with these lines and blurted them out.
“Dude, be careful.
I’m gravely ill and highly contagious.
If you were infected, it wouldn’t be worth it.
Unlike me, you’re healthy and in your prime; you still have the best years of your life ahead of you.
Don’t follow in my footsteps.
Cough, cough!”
Su Ran purposely coughed towards the gangster, scaring him into letting go of Su Ran and quickly stepping back.
He waved vigorously at the air around him, as if he was warding off an encroaching disease.
“There’s no need to be so nervous.
I’m so feeble that even walking is a problem.
There’s no need to worry about me running away.”
Su Ran looked at the gangsters pointing their sticks at him and smiled, “Can’t we just sit down, settle down, and shoot the breeze?
To put it bluntly, my disease could relapse at any time.
If I die during a relapse, you guys would be partly to blame.
After all, you broke into my house, indirectly causing a death, and you’ll end up in prison.”
“If you guys kill me, that would be even better.
I’m just a useless person who’s waiting for death.
If I can take you guys down with me, that would be a huge win!”
Su Ran spoke confidently, using his natural advantage of poor health to his benefit, even forgetting to fake coughing.
“And mom, as a woman, is it proper to be waving a kitchen knife around shouting threats?
Can’t we just sit down and talk things out?
If we resolve this, then everything will be fine, right?”
Su’s mother didn’t know what crafty plan Su Ran was up to, but she followed his advice anyway, booting the pathetic gangster away at her feet and kicking him aside.
However, that cleaver hadn’t dropped, looking rather puzzled at Su Ran, trying to figure out what he was up to.
“Enough talk, I initially planned to beat you up to relieve my itching fists, but looking at your sorry state, I kind of don’t feel like it now.”
The gangster grumbled, becoming extra cautious to not accidentally kill this disease-ridden kid, that would cause so much more trouble than it was worth, it would be a serious case of home invasion and murder!
“An eye for an eye,” but he hadn’t felt ready to face death yet!
“Since you won’t be physically tormented, you better behave, no tricks.”
“Boss!
Does the belt I just took count for nothing?!”
The pitiful gangster, clutching his swollen cheek, roared angrily, looking at Su Ran’s face, wishing he could swallow him alive.
“You want to beat him up?
Just for the record, this guy struggles to breathe.
If you accidentally kill him, I can’t protect you!”
“Plus, do you want to face the wrath of that crazy woman?”
This disgruntled gangster instantly closed his mouth, retreated obediently behind the gang leader, and stopped talking.
“Go, to your bedroom!”
The gang leader pointed at Su Ran with his stick, indicating him to lead the way.
“What are we going to the bedroom for?”
Su Ran’s heart skipped a beat, what exactly did this group want?
Could it be they knew about the Evolution Elixir he just got?
Damn it, the Evolution Elixir was just casually tossed in the drawer.
How careless and thoughtless he had been, not hiding it properly, what if they took it away?
He surely couldn’t fight off so many of them!
If only he could bring the Heavenly Thunder Bead from the game into reality, one Thunder Raid would taste them the throes of living death!
Unfortunately, in reality, he couldn’t even fend off a chicken, let alone stand up to these gangsters bullying him at their mercy.
“Stop chattering, just go wherever I tell you to go, got it?
Hurry up!”
Another gangster’s temper flared when he saw Su Ran not cooperating, wanting to kick him, yet thinking of his contagious disease, he reluctantly withdrew his outstretched foot.
“Fine, if you’re not afraid of catching the disease, just go in.
I’ve been living in this room for years, it’s filled with bacteria.
Even my mother doesn’t dare to come in!
But, let me make this clear, if any of you unfortunately caught the disease, don’t blame me for not warning you!”
Su Ran’s warning made all the gangsters stop in their tracks.
“Boss, what should we do?
Do you think this kid is trying to bluff us?”
The gangster standing furthest away from Su Ran looked skeptical and incredulous.
There couldn’t be such a serious disease that would be contagious by mere contact, could there?
“He’s not lying.
I’d heard about this kid before I came here.
I heard he was expelled from school because of his highly contagious disease!”
The gang leader spoke solemnly.
He had already realized the complexity of this situation and was rather troubled.
Hearing these words, Su Ran almost burst out laughing.
How he wanted to thank the person who got him expelled!
This reason was so useful!
Hahaha~!
