Chapter 245: Heading to Celestial End City, Special Law Blessings
CHAPTER 245: CHAPTER 245: HEADING TO CELESTIAL END CITY, SPECIAL LAW BLESSINGS
Johnnie knew Jack held a grudge. He said, "I know you want Fire Spirit Stones. Help the people around me receive this place’s law blessing, and I’ll give you a hundred Fire Spirit Stones."
"Thank you, Master!" Jack’s eyes lit up as he thanked him.
He also felt lucky he hadn’t refined the Gastro‑sac Transmuter.
If Mountain Hunter was really helping Lord Pitiless gather Spirit Stones, Lord Pitiless would never spare him.
"Let’s go. To Celestial End City." Johnnie said. He decided to first help Atlas and the others get the law blessing here.
That way they’d be safer, and at least they could log in and log out normally.
With Jack leading, the group headed for Celestial End City.
Powerful monsters kept appearing in the surrounding forests.
But they were no match for Johnnie’s team and were cut down with ease. The group moved quickly through the woods.
After half a day, a huge city came into view. Its size was no less than a level 5 city on the Universe Continent. This was Celestial End City. The City Lord here, Altair, is a Divine powerhouse.
The Land of Confusion is different from the Universe Continent. The major factions are scattered, and things are chaotic.
The demon race is the strongest, but building cities here is still hard.
Cities and territories face regular Beast Waves, massive in scale. Only Divine powerhouses can hold them off.
Each city has a Domain stationed there.
Jack warned, "Master, we can’t let the City Lord of Celestial End City know about our relationship. Otherwise he’ll definitely make a move against you."
He really wanted the Celestial End City Lord to attack Johnnie right away.
But after seeing how scary Johnnie was, he knew the City Lord wasn’t a match. He had to ask his father for help.
They’d need at least three Divine powerhouses to have a chance to kill him.
Johnnie gave a small nod and asked, "Are you sure the Celestial End City Lord will help us?"
He was worried. This was demon territory, and there could be unknown dangers.
Jack nodded firmly. "My father is close with the Celestial End City Lord. As long as I speak up, he’ll agree."
"Alright, let’s go." Johnnie said. He didn’t ask more.
Even if the City Lord had bad intentions, he was confident he could handle it.
With Jack leading, they entered Celestial End City.
The city was bustling, with demon experts coming and going.
But Johnnie felt a strong killing intent.
The demons here clearly hated an outsider like him.
And they were strong—the weakest were stage 6, and many were stage 9.
"Human, you dare enter Celestial End City? You’re courting death!" a demon expert shouted, lunging to attack.
"Know your limits." Johnnie sneered. With a thought, a streak of sword light howled out and hit in an instant.
Puff!
-15,456,900
A terrifying damage number flashed, and the man was Instant Killed.
Everyone was stunned.
The one who attacked had been a stage 9 demon expert.
Plenty of others were about to make a move, but now they were shaken.
"Everyone." Jack stepped forward, took out a token, and said, "We’re friends of the Celestial End City Lord. We’re here to visit him."
"So you’re friends of the City Lord. Please, go ahead." The demon experts saw the token, looked apologetic, and stopped blocking them, opening a path.
Johnnie and the others walked openly toward the city governor’s residence.
The stage 9 demon Johnnie had just Instant Killed revived on the spot, sweat on his forehead and fear in his eyes.
"Such a strong human... Why are these people here to see the Celestial End City Lord? I have to tell Lord Blade King!" he muttered, then rushed toward the teleport point.
He was one of Blade King’s men.
The demon race are also players, but unlike players on the Universe Continent, they can’t send private messages.
They have to use special sound-transmission stones or pass news face to face. But those stones are rare and valuable, and he clearly didn’t have the right to own one.
...
"Stop!" At the gate of the city governor’s residence, demon soldiers blocked the way. They looked Johnnie over and said coldly, "This is a restricted area. No one is allowed near. Leave now."
"I’m Jack. I’m here to visit Lord Altair." Jack said, quickly taking out the token from before.
"Oh, it’s Lord Jack!" The soldier saw the token and grew respectful. "Please wait a moment. I’ll report right away."
He ran a few steps, then turned back to glance at Johnnie’s group and asked, "What’s your relationship with them?"
"They’re my friends and mean no harm." Jack explained.
The soldier frowned. He wasn’t worried about Johnnie, but Nalorin Sylvia’s aura was powerful—clearly a Divine powerhouse.
He nodded without saying more and ran into the city governor’s residence.
"Master, you might need to offer something in exchange—Spirit Stones, or better yet, Spiritual Stones." Jack whispered to Johnnie.
Spiritual Stones matter more to Divine powerhouses.
Johnnie nodded slightly. He didn’t mind. Right now, he had plenty of Spiritual Stones—more than Spirit Stones, even.
Soon, the soldier returned, bowed to Jack, and said, "Lord Jack, the City Lord is in the reception hall. You may go on your own."
"Thank you." Jack gave a brief thanks and led Johnnie and the others into the city governor’s residence.
He knew the place well and headed straight for the reception hall.
"Maiev, is there any danger here?" Johnnie asked in his mind.
"No. Only one Half-God powerhouse. Master, should we make a move?" Maiev’s voice came.
With their current strength, killing a Half-God would be easy.
Johnnie wasn’t in a rush to act. He said in his heart, "Let’s watch first."
He had come here to help Atlas and the other two get the Land of Confusion’s law blessing.
Soon, they reached the reception hall, but an old man dressed like a butler stopped them.
"Stop. You wait here. Jack can go in." the old man glanced at Johnnie’s group and said coldly.
"Old guy, what do you mean? Looking down on us?" Benz snapped. He could tell this guy was only stage 9, yet he dared to be so rude.
Johnnie stopped Benz and gave Jack a warning look before letting him enter.
"Don’t worry, I’ll talk to Lord Altair." Jack said quickly.
Johnnie didn’t say more and signaled him to go in.
The old guy still blocked the door, staring at them coldly.
Johnnie didn’t care. He waited quietly. If Jack tried anything, he would wipe out his soul and kill him for good.
"Uncle Altair, I finally get to see you!" Jack saw a thin, stern-looking middle-aged man in the hall and sounded aggrieved.
He’d first been tricked by Johnnie and trapped in magma. He finally escaped, only to be enslaved. To him, it was a great humiliation.
The thin middle-aged man smiled and nodded. With a wave, he set up a barrier to block outside probing, then said, "Jack, what happened? Why are you with a human?"
"It’s a long story. Uncle Altair, you have to save me. I was forced to sign a soul contract with that human." Jack quickly explained what happened when he met Johnnie.
"Outrageous!" Altair roared, a terrifying aura rolling off him.
Worried, Jack hurried to stop him. "Uncle Altair, don’t be rash. They can kill someone at the Domain level. Try to contact my father. You’ll need at least three Divine powerhouses to attack together to kill him."
Altair calmed down and frowned. "A soul contract is tricky, but not hopeless. The Illusionary God has joined our Demon race faction. If she makes a move, she can easily cut the soul contract between you and that human."
"That’s good." Jack let out a breath, then said, "Uncle Altair, that Johnnie wants to enter Blade King City. I want you and my father to work with Lord Blade King and take action inside Blade King City."
Altair nodded. "That is a good choice. If we fight here, even if I manage to kill him, he could erase your soul before he dies."
He clearly didn’t believe Johnnie could kill a Divine powerhouse.
Jack didn’t say more. As long as the message got out, he could relax.
Altair waved his hand and removed the barrier. He looked toward the door and said calmly, "Elder Asher, let them in."
The old man bowed toward the hall, then stepped aside.
Johnnie didn’t hesitate and went into the reception hall first.
Inside, a thin middle-aged man sat in the main seat, sizing Johnnie up. He smiled and said, "You must be Johnnie. Jack told me. If you want my blessing, it’s 200 Wind Spirit Stones per person, or 100 Spiritual Stones."
He cultivated the Wind Law Domain.
Johnnie stared at Altair. Even though the man hid it well, he still felt the killing intent in his eyes.
So Jack had likely told him the truth.
Johnnie didn’t call it out. After a brief thought, he decided to pay with Spiritual Stones.
With a thought, he took out 300 Spiritual Stones and also summoned Atlas and the other two.
"You really have Spiritual Stones!" Greed flashed in Altair’s eyes when he saw Johnnie take out 300 without hesitation.
If he could bring out that many so easily, he must have even more.
Altair remembered Jack’s reminder and hesitated on whether to strike right now.
In the end, he held back and said, "You three, I’ll grant you the blessing now."
"Wait." Johnnie stopped him, glanced at Jack, and said calmly, "If I’m right, Jack already told you the truth."
Altair frowned, his killing intent growing, but he didn’t speak.
Johnnie went on, "Don’t try anything funny, or I’ll erase Jack’s soul and end him for good."
Hearing that, Jack swallowed and looked at Altair.
