CHAPTER 248: CHAPTER 248: SLAUGHTERING UNDEAD MONSTERS, COMPREHENDING THE LAWS

Jack let out a breath of relief. For a Divine powerhouse, as long as the Divine Soul isn’t destroyed, they can’t truly die.

He had seen Douglas take away Mountain Hunter’s Divine Soul before, and he was afraid the same thing had happened to Altair.

Johnnie spoke again, "Jack, tell me—how is your Demon race planning to deal with me?"

"Ah, Master, maybe this is a misunderstanding?" Jack swallowed, fear in his eyes.

Under the soul contract, he was completely under Johnnie’s control and didn’t dare resist at all.

Johnnie grew impatient and said coldly, "You think I don’t know what you’re thinking? If you won’t talk, I won’t kill you. I’ll trap you in an illusion and let you suffer without end until your mind collapses."

Jack was terrified. The last time he fell into an illusion was still fresh in his mind.

He didn’t doubt Johnnie at all. With a sigh, he said, "Uncle Altair was going to send word to my father to join forces in Blade King City and kill you."

He went on, "Do they have a way to break your soul contract?"

Jack nodded, hesitated, and said, "The Illusionary God has joined the Demon race. She focuses on soul and mind laws. If we ask her to act, she can cut the soul contract between me and Master."

Johnnie’s face shifted. She used to be the master of the Canvas of Illusions, which is a fragment of the Map of Heaven and Earth.

Originally, after Johnnie entered the Land of Nothingness and killed Pluto, he wanted to deal with the Illusionary God. But the depths of the Land of Nothingness gave him a strong sense of danger. Coco said, "No. But he can strike from here and kill Aurora from a distance. As for her Divine Soul, we can bring it in here and seal it."

"The Map of Heaven and Earth can seal a Divine Soul?" Johnnie asked in surprise.

If so, after killing a Domain-level foe, he could seal their Divine Soul inside the Map of Heaven and Earth.

Coco explained, "My lord, it’s not like that. Aurora once refined a fragment of the Map of Heaven and Earth. Her aura is here, so I can control her Divine Soul."

The group left the ruins of Sky Split City and headed for the Undead monster nest.

"Stop. This is Ghostfire Sect territory. No one else may enter!" At the cave entrance, two Demon race players blocked Johnnie’s group and spoke coldly.

Like players from the Universe Continent, these Demon race players also took over monster nests.

Johnnie didn’t bother talking. He struck right away.

Sword light flashed, and the two Demon race players were Instant Killed on the spot.

But right after, they revived where they stood.

All Demon race players have a special law blessing: they revive instantly after death with no loss at all.

That’s even more broken than Earth players.

"Courting death! Go notify the Sect Master—someone’s making trouble!" The revived Demon race fighter shouted in anger, gave a warning, and charged at Johnnie again.

Johnnie sneered and used a soul skill—Sword of Souls.

He had thought Johnnie’s claim that he could erase him easily was just talk, but it was actually true.

The Demon race player who ran to send a message didn’t escape either. The Sword of Souls struck again and Instant Killed him with ease.

Even though Johnnie’s soul was hurt by two heavenly tribulations, killing these two Demon race players was still easy.

"Let’s go." He ignored the terrified Jack and stepped straight into the cave.

It was dark all around, with piles of white bones on the ground—Undead monsters that had been slain.

Johnnie checked the bones. They were half-orcs that turned into Undead monsters after death. Their strength wasn’t high.

Deeper in the cave, faint sounds of fighting echoed. Clearly, many Demon race fighters were in there killing Undead monsters.

Johnnie sped up, went deeper into the lair, and ran into Demon race players and Undead monsters.

He didn’t say a word and attacked at once.

Soon, the nearby Demon race players either logged off or ran away.

With no one in his way, Johnnie went on a killing spree against the Undead monsters.

Benz and Nalorin Sylvia joined the fight too.
