CHAPTER 101: CHAPTER 101: YOUR SISTER IS IN TROUBLE

Safe Zone 9527, inside the [Tower of Fates].

Ethan had just walked into the [Tower of Fates] when he saw Lucas, Sylvan, and Lucian sitting on the couch, chatting without much energy.

The moment they saw Ethan, they stood up at once, hurried over, and said in unison:

"Ethan, you’re here!"

Anyone who knew Lucas, Sylvan, and Lucian would have been shocked by this scene.

Ethan waved it off and got straight to the point.

"Lucas, I heard your sister’s company, Veritas Snow Group, is working on some new kind of drug lately?"

Lucas paused, scratched his head, and said, "I think so. I’m not really sure about my sister’s work."

"But she has been super busy lately. She hardly comes home and doesn’t really check on me."

He glanced at Ethan but didn’t ask why Ethan cared about this.

He was worried Ethan might misunderstand and think he was trying to dig into Ethan’s real-life identity.

So Lucas just went on, "Ethan, if you need me to do anything, just say it. As long as it won’t put my sister at risk, I’ll do it."

Lucas has always hated being called "Emma’s little brother," but that doesn’t mean he dislikes Emma. On the contrary, he cares about her a lot—she’s his only family.

Ethan thought for a moment, then said, "I’ve heard your sister might run into some trouble."

Lucas’s eyes went wide. He stood up without thinking and asked anxiously:

"What kind of trouble? Ethan, you’re not joking on purpose, right? My sister..."

His voice trailed off. He knew [Windchaser] would never joke about something like this.

So when he heard Emma might be in danger, he believed Ethan right away—and panicked.

Ethan had Lucas sit back down. He didn’t explain where the intel came from. He just told Lucas to keep a closer eye on Emma.

It would be best if he could find a way to get involved in Veritas Snow Group’s new drug project. If he noticed anything unusual, he should report to Ethan at once.

Ethan said seriously, "Don’t worry. Since I chose to tell you this, I won’t just stand by and do nothing."

Ethan really wouldn’t just sit back, because the new drug Veritas Snow Group is working on is tied to his illness.

He wasn’t trying to scare Lucas on purpose.

Leo’s secret department is already trying to get involved with Veritas Snow Group’s new drug.

Lucas looked very worried. He took a few deep breaths to calm himself down.

"Ethan, I believe you. Don’t worry. I’ll log off later and go to my sister’s company."

Sylvan sighed again.
