She looked at the man in front of her, her eyes full of determination.

Xia Chuanhe had never imagined that even after things hade this far, Ji Yu would still choose to give up on him. "Yu, am I always the one you decide to give up on?"

"Maybe I am. I don’t have any feelings for you, and everything I just said was true. I could never give up on myself for anyone."

She was a free spirit.

"I know this puts you in a tough spot, but she’s incredibly skilled in this field. You’re familiar with Ji Yu, aren’t you?"

"Who doesn’t know Ji Yu? If I had her talent, I could probably just lie around all day and still have people lining up to serve me," Zhang Yuze scoffed, jealousy evident in his tone.

But he hadn’t expected the person Xia Chuanhe wanted to ce on his team was Ji Yu herself.

"The person I’m assigning to you is Ji Yu. But right now, she’s forgotten most of her past. If you can guide her to remember, she should be able to handle surgeries with ease."

"You’re not being serious, are you?" Zhang Yuze still found it hard to believe.

"If you don’t want Ji Yu, I’ll find someone else. Don’t me me for not giving you the opportunity," Xia Chuanhe said sternly.

In the end, Zhang Yuze gave in to Ji Yu’s reputation. He was curious to see just what kind of person Ji Yu was.

When Ji Yu learned she’d be working in a hospital, she initially thought it would be just an ordinary hospital. It wasn’t until she arrived that she realized it was a cosmetic surgery clinic.

Every time Xia Chuanhe saw Ji Yu’s indifferent gaze, he felt a sharp pain in his heart.

But he continued to hold on. After all, this was just the beginning. Maybe over time, Ji Yu would fall for him again?

"Yu, are you happy today?" he asked her.

"It was alright. I think I’ve remembered some things from before. Also, you were right—this job truly suits me," Ji Yu said cheerfully.

Additionally, during this period, she encountered many unexpected situations.

At the very least, she was now able to independently perform surgeries.

"Yu, have you remembered anything about me?"

"No." In Ji Yu’s memories, this man should’ve been someone good, someone she once loved. Yet, for some reason, everything felt different now.

"Yu, you can’t just leave me like this. My love for you will never change," he said, gazing at her with deep affection.

Every time he looked at her like that, Ji Yu felt a throbbing headache. She couldn’t understand why he was so insistent, so obsessed.

"To be honest, I don’t love you. Your actions only make me feel ufortable. I’m not sure how we ended up together in the first ce, but judging from the current situation, I don’t have any such thoughts for now."

Her words were as clear as they could be. Ji Yu hoped the man in front of her would stop clinging on.

"Persisting like this is pointless." Ji Yu had already made up her mind. "If I have timeter, I’ll find another ce to stay. I appreciate everything you’ve done before, and I’ll repay you in the future. But it seems we’re just not right for each other."
