Others Awaken SSS-Rank Classes, I Summon Calamities
Chapter 41: What a True Skill Looks Like
CHAPTER 41: WHAT A TRUE SKILL LOOKS LIKE
Arthur’s sword moved at lightning fast speed and before the opponent could even realise what was happening, the axe in his hand had already been flung out of his grasp and a sword was placed firmly on his neck.
Blood silently trailed down the cut on his neck which the blade had made and the youth couldn’t help breaking into a cold sweat.
"You’ve lost," Arthur said calmly.
His voice was low but it was enough to spread throughout the arena and into everyone’s ears.
Everyone was stunned speechless by how easily Arthur had won.
He didn’t even need to do much before emerging victorious.
The ripples of disbelief left the students silent and only when the next person Arthur was competing against was called up did they recover.
Still, the results of the match weren’t any different and as soon as the match started Arthur dealt with him.
"Is he truly at level 1? He isn’t using any special skills and is just easily defeating everyone with his physical strength. What the hell is going on?"
The thoughts of the crowd went wild as they watched with wild anticipation.
Arthur’s third opponent was called but they didn’t believe the results would be any different as it was just a level difference from those Arthur had easily eliminated before.
The results of the fight were as expected.
It only took a single attack for Arthur to emerge victorious in the fight.
Then, his attention shifted to the announcer.
In less than 5 minutes Arthur already had 3 wins and perhaps he would go on to the fourth win.
"Perhaps only the level seven player can deal with him!" someone from the crowd exclaimed the moment the level seven player entered the stage.
The level seven player glanced at Arthur then commented with a smile.
"You’re very strong for someone at level 1. But it’s impossible for you to be my match."
Arthur noticed his opponent was someone with a mask over his face.
There was a bow and arrow strapped to his back.
Arthur shook his head then said in a gruff voice, "You’re underestimating me too much."
Hearing his words, the youth was dumbfounded but also shook his head.
The instructor announced the commencement of the match and Arthur immediately took advantage of the situation to attack.
Surprisingly the youth seemed to have expected this and was faster.
His hands moved at lightning speed and appeared on the bow on his back.
Pointing it at Arthur he drew it back.
All of these happened in merely a few seconds.
It seemed after using the bow for a long time the youth was used to drawing it the moment a fight began, hence his instinctive reaction.
Arthur didn’t panic seeing an arrow flying towards him.
He just calmly waved his sword, splitting the arrow in two, then increased his speed as he lunged towards the archer.
Archer was a variant class of a warrior, just like swordsman and the axe wielder from before.
Swish!!
Another arrow exploded into the air in Arthur’s direction trying to stall his movements.
However, Arthur just swung his sword once more towards the arrow.
Rushing towards his opponent, his speed exploded once more and before the level 7 player could launch another arrow, Arthur was in front of him.
Arthur swung his sword and cut apart the strings of the weapon before he could even shoot again.
The next instant his sword was on his opponent’s neck. The youth looked at him with a dazed expression as though he couldn’t believe the match was over so easily.
"You’ve lost," Arthur said politely, then brought his sword down.
Joshua could sense the smile behind Arthur’s words and he couldn’t help shaking his head in regret.
"I didn’t even realise how I lost." With a sigh he turned around and walked away.
In the battle just now Arthur’s speed had been so fast that before he could even make any reasonable moves he had lost.
Truly, he had lost fairly.
The entire arena was in an uproar once again.
"Who’s that kid? Are you certain he is just at level one?"
Ripples of shock coursed through the crowd and they found it hard to believe that someone at level 1 could defeat someone at level 7 and there were no unique skills involved.
It seemed like a casual battle between the two and Arthur had just calmly dealt with his opponent like he had done with the others.
On a particular side, with a faint smile tugging at her lips, Gabriella silently studied Arthur.
’Interesting. To think just his physical strength can rival those at level 10.’
With a glance she could tell the extent of Arthur’s strength and she was impressed.
There were some classes that granted bonus attributes to one’s stats, but Arthur was a summoner.
There was no way a summoner would be able to possess such strength.
All the other summoners she knew only depended on their beasts for support. It was exactly because of this that summoners were widely acknowledged as one of the weakest classes.
’Perhaps it’s because his class is a variant of the summoner class. After all he can even summon terrifying humans.’
The intrigue in Gabriella’s eyes towards Amon deepened as she stared at Arthur who was casually standing in the middle of the arena.
"Winner! Calamity Sovereign!" the voice of the announcer drew the gazes of the crowd.
Then, the instructor announced for the next fighter to come into the arena.
A muscular man with a fox mask on his face jumped onto the arena from the seated crowd.
From him radiated the aura of someone at level 8, and besides, he was a mage.
With Arthur who specialized in close distance attacks, the crowd immediately felt he was at a disadvantage.
Most of them glanced at Arthur in pity already understanding in their hearts that Arthur would lose the fight.
Arthur glanced at the fox masked fighter and noticed the fighter didn’t put him in his eyes.
His body’s movements were filled with impatience as though he couldn’t wait to leave the arena.
Amon wrinkled his brows slightly then shrugged.
The announcer soon called for the start of the fight a few moments later.
Without sparing Amon any thought the mage immediately cast a spell.
"Wind Blade."
His voice was faint and as soon as his voice faded the wind rippled then condensed into solid form and flung itself towards Arthur.
Noticing the wind blade, Arthur didn’t panic but instead immediately attacked without hesitation, slicing at the wind blade.
Boom!
Both attacks collided with a loud crash and before long the attacks cancelled out each other.
The man finally paid Amon some attention and raised his hands slightly higher than before.
His hands were now above his head as he muttered in a low voice, "Wind Blades!"
Immediately after he finished speaking, the air around him rippled violently and two wind blades condensed from mid air and lunged themselves at Arthur.
Without panic Arthur once again easily destroyed the attack causing the level 8 player to finally take the battle seriously.
But it was already too late.
"Let me show you what a spell looks like." Arthur said in a deep, teasing voice then whispered, "Boom."
Immediately his voice faded, a fireball formed in the air and lunged itself at the youth.
The fireball hurled through the air.
Not knowing Arthur was also a mage, the youth was unable to react before the fireball crashed onto him.
Immediately Arthur had dealt with him the system glowed golden with a series of words.
[congratulations on completing the quest!]
